Some good signings around the traps, Group 6 will be strong as ever, Narellan that had concerns from the Group earlier have signed Ben Baker, Rocky Trimsche and Picton front rower Chris Young. Mark Riddel was rumored to be heading to the Oaks but Thirlmere jumping in to sign him, along with the Heckingburg brothers and a few Narellan boys will be nudging the points limit. Camden getting a lot of youth which sees the likes as Wisby and Begovitch returning for the Rams, Eagles new signings Mason Talaloa, Ben Weir, Shaun Vaatouua from Minto and rumors that former Eagles Junior Will Dreves has also signed, Dad believes Mittagong will be the danger team, with the Borg brothers and the rumor of sweeny joining the lions, a lot of clubs keeping it under wraps will make an awesome year. Cant wait for round 1 |

Good to hear that footy has finally started. Next Sunday the Group 6 U/18's training squad will be playing the Illawarra training squad at Victoria Park, Picton - kick off 10.00am. This is a selection trial to pick the Redbacks team. Should be a good game and a chance to see some up and coming talent. |

I've been told from a reliable source that moss vale will only be fielding an u/18 & 3rd grade side this year. With retirements, family commitments, work & other opportunities presenting itself to the players it has basically deleted the playing ranks of quality within the dragons. Looks like another rebuilding phase for the club, financially the clubs in great shape but the interest & retention of players has lead to this point. Shame but I recall that's what happened also after mossy won the 1990 grand final with very similar scenarios. |

I spoke with the mossy Secretary and he said they were struggling. It is difficult to keep people keen after such an achievement. On another note, was at the rams game yesterday, and heard some very ill informed old heads from Camden gossiping to each other that the reason they missed out on Stuart Flanagan was because we offered him more money? Hahaha, good one! There are some players on the market that are going to the highest bidder, and flanno definitely wasn't one of them. |

yep i believe you are right!. The old Raby tavern is good for a spill, i'm suprised fencesitter and his dad didnt spill this one first. Seem they know everything I have also heard no seniors at Appin, no-one turning up to training and no interest with a couple of Appin players from last year already signed up to Thirlmere weeks ago. Like to know where all our collies players are from appin (ealier reports that they all followed the coach to Appin) absolute rubbish. Me being a collies person good news for us suppossibly. Anyway not good for the group and a lot of hard work down the tube. But blame all around as all the clubs in the group put pressure on them to go up??. Smart move to group 6 not, as now down one senior club were if left alone they could have at least been in some sort of competition. With Appin not competing and Mossy pulling out 1st grade not good for the 1st grade competition. Lets see what happens |

When will this be confirmed and when will the subsequent draw be re-released? The situation with Appin both Moss Vale (still rumours only) show that Group 6 administrators need to be a little careful of introducing new clubs into the competition as it can have ramifications for the playing strength of existing clubs in the area. They have accepted Mac Bulls and Bargo into the comp with no real home ground to play at (rugby union marked field at Wilton) and training bases that are a long way from this (AFL ground at Bargo and a softball ground at Elderslie) and now it seems as though Appin may fold altogether in seniors. Appin have a nice ground with alot of passing traffic and a great pub across the road and it would be a shame if this happens for the hard working people that have established a team there. Haven't heard from Thabundyboy for a while on how Bundanoon are shaping up. Interesting that Bundanoon come in and just up the road Moss Vale are suddenly short of players. I hope that the new club is not in at the expense of Moss Vale's playing numbers. |

All good @ bundy. We have transfers for 5 players being worked on. These were all registered players with us before in union in 2011/10. Except one. Strong numbers @ bundy training since January, averaging @ 18 per session with 27 signed. Good mix of youth and experience. Looking fwd to trials with MT Annan & Bargo in the coming weeks. |

That's the problem with 3rd grade. All of a sudden you lose all your reserve graders cos they barely have to commit to play 3rd grade. All the depth gets sucked out of the clubs. I think this will have to be reviewed at seasons end. |

I can't understand why someone capable of playing grade would want to play 3 grade. It should really be a "pub comp" for those players that don't have the ability to play at a higher level or blokes coming out of retirement for one more it up. The Group will have to take a really close look at the players the third grade clubs try to register. It's a real shame about Appin - the committee, especially doggies girl, have worked their butts off to make it successful. |
