Group 6 will tell wests jl to piss off they are fine My advice scream rebel league go it alone stuff crl nswrl and wests The wsdjrl ran unaffiliated for years as a rogue league so mYbe it's group 6 turn to now
Ps were is the report from Brian caravan on the miss management of wsdjrl seniors for the past 20 years did he do one for that??? Or is that just been swept under the rug like they handle discipline matters
Mr Canavan wrote his report based on the parameters he was given by the NSWRL. They didn't want him looking at the problems with the JL administration and he didn't. He can only operate within the brief he was given. Got to say that the recommendations of the report would be a lot more acceptable to the G6 clubs & management if there was a broom put thru the JL management but with them still in place their is no chance that they will ever agree to a joint comp. Well it looks like Group 6's rejection of the Canavan Report recommendations has upset a few people at the new RL "pleasure palace" especially Mr Carr. Sorry Geoff make some changes at the JL and we may talk again - one big stumbling block to any possible joint comp. You know what it is and we all know what it is.
I keep hearing rumours from little birds sitting on the grapevine that the new broom may just be Ben Rogers. Don't think that will help, considering the contemptuous way he's been treating G6.
Where's that report Ben? We haven't forgotten about it!

Eagles set to swoop on Group 6By Sean Cunningham Wed, Mar 7 2012 Set to soar: Campbelltown Eagles coaches Richard Barnes (right) and Jason Hazelton (second right) and players Jarryd Eggleton (from left), Ben Weir and Michael Stevens and (back, from left) Glen Harding, Michael Ginnelly and Daniel Draper are eager for the season to start.Picture: Jonathan NgSTILL smarting from last season's Group 6 first grade rugby league grand final defeat against Oakdale, Campbelltown Eagles are intent on claiming the premiership to avenge last season's failure at the final hurdle. Although the Eagles realise that to achieve this will be no stroll in the park, their sights are set on mounting a serious challenge on the premiership. Eagles' joint coaches Richard Barnes and Jason Hazelton plan a dual-pronged attack to achieve their goals. They believe their players have done the hard yards during pre-season training to be competitive and could use the heartbreaking grand final loss as motivation this year. "It was very disappointing — I absolutely still burn over that," Barnes said. "The boys are out for revenge and want some sort of redemption for it but we're not kidding ourselves, we know how much hard work we'll have to do. "We want to get into the top three and, hopefully, if we learn from last year that'll benefit us. "The boys are motivated on that but we can't just concentrate on revenge for the grand-final loss." Losing key players Matthew Blunden, who left to try rugby union with Camden, and Brad Hopkins, who left for England, the Eagles have retained the bulk of their squad from last season. New signings Will Dreves of Picton, Ben Weir of Camden and Mason Talalou, who returns to the club after playing two years with Wests Tigers national 20s team, will bolster the ranks. Set to soar when the competition starts, the Eagles will rely on a trio of players to reproduce the fine form they displayed last year. Barnes said the team had talent in all positions. "My key players again will be Wayde Dunley, Sam Hoare and John da Silva," he said. "But we've got a lot of young players who keep surprising at training and they could force their way into the team. "The boys have a lot of energy and are getting stuck in so I think we'll be hard to beat and we can't wait to get going and get the wheels turning for the start of the season." Barnes praised the club's backroom staff who he said had "done an outstanding job in the pre-season making it easier for us to get the boys ready for games". Daniel Draper will coach the reserves, Allan Knight and Allan Rousell will coach third grade and Michael Ginnelly will coach the under-18s.
Just love how the duke of ctown RL graces his presence in every eagles photo shoot Is that at waminda?? Hope you weren't training up there lord devil Hey Westie, it's not the Berlin Wall, we are allowed to visit once in a while, just not allowed to Train play, we are having a Seniors meet the Juniors day coming up and its a great day for the kids to meet the 1st grade squad, those sort of things are OK as long as we dont train.
Our seniors will be having a trial this Saturday against Dapto from the Carlton League, Under 18's, 3rd Grade, Reserve Grade and 1st Grade which should be a great hit out for the guys.
The following week we are involved in a Pre-season Competition with fellow Group 6 Clubs, the Oaks and Picton. we will come up against Cronulla-Caringbah, Gymea Gorrilas, and Sutherland in what will be a great weekend played over Saturday and Sunday in the Bush V's the Beach Pre-season competition held at Victoria Park Picton. Well done to Picton for hosting the weekend and putting up a couple of Grand in Prize money.

Horray bring on the footy g6 stand alone comp even with 9 teams it will be an even comp I've tipped below for early prem favs
Eagles $2.05 Camden $3 Oakdale $3.50 Mittagong $4 Picton $4.50 Thirlemere $5 Oaks $5.50 City $6.50 Narellan $10 You're the worst bookie in history. Eagles $2.05 is skinny. Give them $3fav I think you were spot on with Camden being 2nd favs say $5 Mittagong have bought well, pop them into $5.50 just behind Camden Oakdale and Picton have been decimated but normally put up a fight, put both out to $6.50 Thirlmere and The Oaks have a couple of big name players but unknown around them $10 City at $15, purely on trial against Camden (minus Drew Dalton though) Narellan have a couple of good signings but on past seasons give the $25

I noticed quite a bit of talk about the Mossy club and how the committee have let everyone down. Well one of my good mates is on that committee and he tells a very different story. The club was having trouble attracting new players (not through lack of trying), no denying that but they still had 7 players from the premiership side interested in playing but the majority those 7 felt that our juniors and reserve grade players from last year that would have had to step into 1st grade wouldnt have been good enough. Does wonders for those players confidence. So 5 of the 7 decided not to play at Mossy because they didnt want to tough it out and help some of the juniors through. They wanted a side laid on a platter for them. If they had all committed they may not have made the semis' who knows but at least they could have had a crack. I would think most clubs would love to have 7 premiership players in their side but lets take the easy option out and go elsewhere.

All clubs have periods where they're rebuilding and not top of the comp and it gives the younger guys a chance to learn the ropes.

The Oaks RLFC have confirmed the signing of former Parramatta, St George and Sydney Roosters hooker Mark 'PIGGY' Riddell... it is great news for our club as he has expressed that he would like to spend a few hours each week with our junior kids...

Now is time to stop being angery and negative accept whats happened and put plans in place to build for 2013 and I think you would find. that those players especially esky and willie will be there in a flash.Just on esky if the knockers had the passion courage and dedication he has for the game and mossy the club would be in better shape.

Mittagong, Camden, Bulls, Narellan, City, Eagles, then the dark horses would be Thirlmere, Picton, then from there who knows. I don't think that you can say Picton is an outsider here.
Picton's 2011 U/16's team were undefeated last year with Mittagong forfeiting twice to them during the season, rather than meeting them on the paddock. In a couple of Picton's games the mercey rule was applied. They went on to defeat Narellan in the Grand Final 52 - 6.
You'd be foolish to right these boys off!

The 7 doesnt include Drewe and Noble. Delly yes as he was apparently not getting cleared. Agree people should get on with things but it seems to get dregged up fairly regularly around the traps. I can understand passion and dedication for a club but I must admit some of the committee who have been involved with the club for a long time and love the place probably wont be around to see the return in 2013 as they have lost complete interest and faith in the place. Pity but I guess thats life.

Hey fencey, has dad heard any rumour about Thirlmere pulling the pin? Dad said they signed some Trotter brothers, I don't know who they are but they must be ok if Dad raves about them, Dad knows his Footy I'll tell you that, Thirlmere was a bit upset in missing out on Piggy Radell but they open the trap before pen was put to paper, Woodo has bought some good sponsors to the club but the info you got is probably a scare tactic from the Roosters to try to get 6 players from Narellan at cheaper points, similar to what Oakdale done with the Reserve grade Picton players, so Dad said no they are in no way of pulling the pin.
