Heard that the jets are in negotiations with former wests nsw cup player Michael Stolk for the 2012 season. A very handy prop/2nd rower. 80 minute player with a high work rate. Can't see the eagles changing to much, oakdale to lose a few through retirement. Scott Borg to cc mitta bringing some Illawarra boys. The lower teams to chase hard for players but may only snare 1-2 due to point system. Thirlmere to also lose some retirees. I can really see the comp being even tighter then this year with the top 5 going right down to the last round. Can not wait for 2012. |

Some of the good oil from around Group 6 for this week- Having not qualified for any grade of semi finals since 2005 (as the Bowral- Robbo Pioneers), the Bowral Blues RLFC are determined to break their hoodoo and make the semi finals in 2nd Division in 2012. Any interested players can contact President Peter Campbell 0422385989. The Bowral club is prepared to put together petrol money packages for interested players from the Campbelltown, Macarthur or Wollongong areas. The appointment of Scott Borg as Mittagong captain- coach and signature of his brother Ryan as the Lions' halves in 2012 has the Highlands buzzing about their top grade chances in 2012, with sponsorship packages almost sold out already. Buoyed by their late 2011 form, Moss Vale will be welcoming back 4-5 players from the 2010 premiership squad. East Campbelltown Eagles have retained 2011 Co- coaches of the year Jason Hazleton and Richard Barnes in their quest to go one better in 2012. The core of last year's playing group has also been retained with Sam Hoare, Wade Dunley, Mick Bradstock, Brad Hopkins and inspirational captain John Da Silva all back on deck. Dunley though has a get out clause, with his 2011 form sparking interest from Souths and Melbourne and a Group 21 club who have tabled a big offer for his services. Wests Tigers U/20s player and Eagles junior Mason Talolua is also expected to link with the red n whites for 2012. Successful U/18s mentor Troy Millard will be moving up to coach the 3rd Grade team following the retirement of Gary Potts. Picton Magpies are resigned to losing the services of skilful hooker Grant Syron to the Carlton League, with Syron having recently relocated down to the Gong. Narellan Jets will announce 2-3 major signings in the coming weeks. Coach Dane Wooden is placing plenty of faith in the talent emerging from the Jets strong U/18s team to bolster their graded ranks. Boasting the quickest backline in the Group, the Jets are 2-3 top line forwards away from challenging the Group's top teams. Narellan Juniors are rumoured to be looking at the possibility of financing a 3rd Grade team for the Senior Jets, so as to keep more Jets juniors at the club. Camden are also looking towards entering a 3rd Grade and have a long serving player in mind to be player- coach for this grade. Warragamba have secured a coach for 2012 and at this stage are aiming to field 1st and Reserve Grade in 2012. With rumours being that a number of Wombats players retired after the 2011 2nd Division GF, Group 6 officials aren't confident of the Wombats stepping up just yet. Mt Annan are close to appointing a coach and will be fielding 3rd Grade and U/18s in 2012. Bundanoon will be applying for Group 6 affiliation at November's AGM. The Oaks are expected to withdraw from the 2nd Division competition. Appin Dogs coach Paul Jarvis has secured a number of promising juniors from his old Campbelltown Collegians club to link with him in Appin's return to 1st Grade. Jarvis is also negotiating with a current Balmain NSW Cup front rower to be his marquee player in 2012. Campbelltown City have agreed to terms with Drew Dalton to once again lead the club, with Gary Syron (Reserves), Argent Rawhihi (3rds) and Brian Brown (U/18s) all reappointed last week for the lower grades. City officials have retained the bulk of their 2011 players and will be promoting a number of U/18s to the Reserve and 3rd Grade ranks. Dalton has announced that 2012 pre-season will commence on Thursday December 1st. Ex- Balmain and Wigan star Mick Withers and CRL Rep Jamie Szczerbanik will once again go around for the Kangaroos. The Roos are also close to landing an ex- Raiders and Sharks NRL prop to lead their forward pack in 2012. Highly respected Campbelltown local Freddy Borg (ex- Campbelltown Warriors junior, Wests Magpies and Narellan Jets) has returned to the coaching ranks with the Macarthur Bulls. Alongside the recruitment of 2011 ESA coach Dennis Hellyer, the Bulls have been inundated with player enquiries and are confident of fielding 1st, Reserve, 3rd and U/18 Grades in 2012. There is still no word on whether Bulls founder and prop Matt Hughes will go around again. Competition grades at this early stage look like being: 1st Division 1st and Reserve Grade Oakdale Workers, East Campbelltown Eagles, Picton Magpies, Thirlmere Roosters, Mittagong Lions, Camden Rams, The Oaks Tigers, Moss Vale Dragons, Campbelltown City Kangaroos, Narellan Jets, Appin Dogs, Macarthur Bulls 2nd Division- 1 team only Warragamba Wombats, East Campbelltown Eagles, Macarthur Bulls, Robertson Spuddies, Bowral Blues, Campbelltown City Kangaroos, Mt Annan Knights, Bundanoon, Narellan Jets, Camden Rams. |

Go away you twit. Only the strong survive. I just read the dribble you wrote in the Wests forum, you just canabolized all our your clubs. They are in part at fault for the comp, their problem is they have no backbone to stand up to the admin. and then you tried to say the titans are the best club side around. Well I tell you what, let's organize the group 6 wooden spooners to take on your titans, I guarantee the spooners win. |

I'll put 100 on the Jetters, that's almost my weekly wage, but I would be happy to double it very quickly, that's a sure bet. I would bet Appin 3rd Grade would beat them |

You obviously have a personal vendetta that you wish to push but you're not doing yourself or the Wests Juniors comp any favours with the bitter nonsense you keep posting. If you are the best spokesperson for their comp then there is no wonder that it's struggling to stay alive. The combined G6/Wests comp boat has sailed, the Eagles, Roos and Mac Bulls are Group 6 clubs, the 2011 G6 comp was very successful and 2012 looks like it will be another great one. Wests Juniors struggled this year and hope to improve that situation by joining another comp - at present Penrith - let's hope for Wests' clubs' sakes that this comes off and is successful. It is a sad state of affairs that senior Rugby League is struggling in the Campbelltown area but before pointing the finger at Group 6 or anyone else, West Juniors need to clean up their own backyards, drop the arrogance and bully boy tactics and sort their own problems out. If they don't do this any joint comp situation they get involved in is doomed to fail. |

I couldn't agree more. The West Tigers have done nothing for the Campbelltown/G6 areas making it easy pickings for other codes. |
