Just like to thank the Oakdale club for allowing the Bulls to hire out Sid Sharpe last week The club staging its 1st home game was a great success on and off the field - The Oakdale club are a great bunch of people and have assistant the Bulls over the last 2 seasons and its pleasing to see clubs helping other clubs out
On the footy side of things it was great for the club due to our 18s not playing being able to blood 7 of the boys into senior footy and diidnt they shine the young boys absolutly loved it and 1 of the boys picking up the man of the match honuors - Alot of talk about Picton 18s but i tell you what once the Bulls boys get their full squad on the park which could be this week they will be a handful and will take some stopping. Great day for the club Sunday just gone i couldnt be prouder of all our staff/players and volunteers

Ref threatens to end gamehttp://www.camdenadvertiser.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/ref-threatens-to-end-game/2524603.aspx Safe hands: Luke Wisbey puts his body on the line for Camden in their 28-14 win over Picton on Sunday at Kirkham Park. Picture: Sean CunninghamCAMDEN defeated Picton 28-14 in their Group 6 rugby league first-grade game on Sunday but the real story of the game at Kirkham Park was that the victory was almost given to the Magpies when Camden were behind after only 30 minutes had been played. The referee threatened to stop the game because of unruly behaviour from Camden fans on the sidelines. He stopped the game and asked ground officials to warn a group of about 40 Camden fans on the sidelines to curb their abusive language. The referee told ground officials they had five minutes to "pull the group into line" or he would stop the game. Police were called and the first half continued without incident. Camden started well to race to a 8-0 lead after seven minutes with tries to Glyn Bester and Sam Campbell, but Picton's Chris Young single-handedly took the lead from Camden with two tries within 10 minutes. One of them was converted to give Picton a 10-8 lead in the 27th minute and the Magpies added a penalty conversion to take a 12-8 lead to the break. Only a few minutes into the second half, the referee held up the game once more because of offensive behaviour from Camden fans. He asked ground officials to intervene and warn some spectators about their abusive language. A Rams official described the offensive behaviour from a minority of fans as "disgraceful". He said it was the worst behaviour he had witnessed from Camden fans at the ground in 30 years. The game restarted with Aaron Da Silva scoring a try for Camden in the corner to level the score. Picton kicked a penalty goal in the 57th minute and that was the final time they would score. Adam Marshall was on the end of a kick to put Camden into the lead and minutes later Luke Wisbey grounded the ball between the posts. Bester scored his second try to seal the win with two minutes remaining. Camden coach Mark De Ubago agreed his team secured victory the hard way. "It was ugly but we ground it out," he said. "It's a great win. We needed a win. "We were playing some good footy but we can't seem to turn it on for the full 80 minutes. "When we make mistakes we can't seem to overcome them." De Ubago was pleased with his team's overall performance and noted a few standouts. "Glyn Bester played well and Luke Wisbey was safe at the back." The Camden vs Picton game almost called off ??? There are calls for Mt Annan to be expelled for their unruly behaviour but that sets a precedent. Would Camden be expelled? Never, but a small section of their fans have in past years tested the boundaries and haven't been hauled in to face the music. Lets see if the Rams have bonds put on them like other clubs have when fans step over the mark. Its not the footballers misbehaving so lets not punish the players for things out of their control.

The game between Narellan and Oakdale has been moved to Oakdale due to the Weather. The fixture will be reveresed in the second round Me thinks its a desparate act by a struggling Oakdale to get a home ground advantage and hopefully get a much needed win on the board. The Jets can see through that and allowed the game to be moved, knowing full well they have the upper hand already. Just saying TC hahaha

I think the Mt Annan club need a new identity and a fresh start. It makes no sense why that club hasn't been able to get it right over the years. It is the closest Group 6 club to Campbelltown, it has a large junior base and the pub used to get behind them. I think 2006 was the last time they were in first grade.

I sense a bit of cockiness in your voice. Things have changed We could have let it be washed out, and hopefully we would have found form by the time it was replayed????? No cockiness in my voice as that would definately be giving you Workers ammo. I know from experience how quickly a season can turn, a player gets injured, a purple patch goes sour and before long you are looking at missing out on the top 5. You guys already have a siege mentality leftover from when Frank Marino and Mick Trimarchi jumped ship to the Jets in the mid 90s, left the Workers struggling to field a 1st Grade team and all the whilst the Jets competed in Grand Finals and won our 1st First Grade Premiership. And I don't want my words plastered all over the dressing sheds and the supporters at the beer shed end of the ground heckling every Jets player that comes within earshot. That would be silly of me lol.
Just friendly banter before the big game to get the competitve juices flowing and ensuring a big crowd gets to the game!!

The touchy on that side always gets an entertaining afternoon.

Would have loved to stay and play at Bowral had great memories there made some life long friends and seen a few guys start there and move onto better things just to far to travel. I really hope down the track they get some success and get Bradmans old club back into the top flight!! Watched Ulladulla against Albion Park last week, was visiting a mate that lives down there. Great ground, good comp.
Both 1st's and Reggies need a bit of size in their pack as they lost a few experienced guys to other teams and have a heap of young blokes running around for them.
I think Reggies got done 48 - 26 and firsts 42 - 16.
Good luck. Where do you get a Group 7 programme up here? Got one at the footy last week, great thing for the spectator and something Group 6 should look into.
Both Group 7 and the Illawarra comp do it weekly, it would be awesome for Group 6 to bring this in.

Highlander, I see your running around in group 7 and up against the jambaroo dragons this weekend?
News gets around fast haha yeah had to move due to work reasons and got asked by a few guys at work to have a run. Dont believe the program though its in ressies im to old(and unfit) for firsts hahahaha would be fun to play a few old team mates though.
Both Group 7 and the Illawarra comp do it weekly, it would be awesome for Group 6 to bring this in. Group 7 program is available online on the G7 website every thursday. They've had that program for the whole round going for nearly 10 years now, tells you everything you need to know every week! The comp is very professionally run, no player points dramas and good country footy every week, any team is capable of beating any other team it's so even.
Spuds played down there for 4 or 5 years, there's a hell of a lot of things that they do in G7 which G6 could take note of and improve!
Jamberoo Dragons look to be going allright, be interesting to see if any of them are selected in the rep team down there....

Was there Last week Albion Park looked top notch would really be up there in group 6 if they played in it.
The programs are good and im pretty sure the idea was mooted in group 6 but price was a major factor.
Also they have a radio show on 2ST Thrusday nites Graeme Andrews gives a ten min interview on the comings and goings of group 6 but its 80 per cent talk on group 7 not a bad listern Mg and the Chief were on last week. would be good to C 91.3 to do like wise!!
Lets hope the Bulldogs upset the Superoo dragons tomorrow!!!

Lets hope the Bulldogs upset the Superoo dragons tomorrow!!! This is what the new executive officer is in there for. I know he is still relatively new, and it's going to take some time to establish himself. But he will be the one to chase sponsors for the comp so that things like the competition program do take flight. Once you've seen G7 & Illawarra's program, it makes us look a touch amateurish. We print our own programs, i know a couple of clubs get local printers to do theirs, but surely it would be better for us all to do it collectively? and with the higher volume of programs it should be cheaper?????

The group 7 programmes are mainly paid for & subsided by the clubs who pay a higher levy than what clubs in group 6 do.
