First off id like to wish both Appin and macbulls well in stepping up to 1sts next year!!! Goodluck lads!!

But for the park player who dont want to start training untill next year and wants to have a more social game well the Bowral blues are for you.

In keeping with the group 6 spirit of 3rd grade Bowral do not pay players But for any players outside of the highlands your petrol will be covered aswell as rego/insurance fees also any new players who sign up for 2012 will recieve a replica 2011 players jersey or a club hoodie!!!

Also for people thinking its to far away its an easy drive st8 down the hume highway :correct: and last year bowral only trained 1 nite a week anyway!!! :drink: nite

For any information or questions please email club vice president asargood@iprimus.com.au

we will also take any applications for coaching,Captain and any supporting roles within our club!!

We would also like to thank the Royal Hotel for there support again in 2012
Mate I'll pass on to some of my boys at rsl good blokes mate and they will be keen all drive to mate so petty money appeal to em what nights you train mate I'll pass on to the boys they don't read this forum I know they looking for a team but
Westie you've got no idea mate, RSL is staying at RSL
Burner, your credibility is shot, you said this last year, and people on this forum including my Dad made the call Inglebye RSL players going to inglebye Bulldogs, is the inglebye RSL boys that went to inglebye Bulldogs going to Mt Annan or is it inglebye RSL boys going to Mt Annan, what will you do if you have to play A Grade because there may be only 4 teams, are you guys going to cry and pull the pin for A Grade again. At least with 4 teams there still will be a bye

I just looked at the Mt Annan Mustangs website, yes it says they are looking into Reserve and 3rd Grade, wonder where these players are coming from considering the gossip with Inglebye RSL, Group 6 is going to be massive, Appin, Warra, Bulls and now Mustangs getting bigger and stepping up, all these clubs is going to be disastrous to Wests Clubs especially at the southern end. Dads Pridiction for 2012, no Campbelltown Clubs playing in Campbelltown in 2012, Wests and Group 6.

I don't think i'm speaking out of school, but Group 6 have decided on their opening round of the competition.
The weekend of March 25th, all local derby's.
How good will it be?
Oakdale v The Oaks, Picton v Thirlmere, Eagles v Roos, Camden v Narellan, Mossy v Mitta.
I'm excited already

Bundy for now would field players from their current roster. But for the future having no jnrs then yes they would draw on players from the mossy area. How this would affect their points is uncertain at this stage but is more likely to be similar to points situation with oakdale/ the oaks in relation to jnrs player values. Bundys oval is a nice ground also with a licenced sports club overlooking the field.

Some of the good oil from around Group 6 for this week-

Bowral Blues RLFC are very close to closing a deal with a strike 1st Grade player from the Riverina to be their marquee signing for the 2nd Division campaign and will shortly unveil their coaching team for 2012, which is said to include a very high profile name in Highlands Rugby League. Any interested players can contact President Peter Campbell on 0422385989. The Bowral club is prepared to put together petrol money packages for interested players from the Campbelltown, Macarthur or Wollongong areas. The Blues will also be making a concerted effort to field an U/18Bs team as well.

The Robertson and Bowral clubs are said to have met and agreed to a non- poaching agreement between the 2nd Division rivals. Spuddies coach Craig Pemberton is said to have agreed terms to lead the maroon & whites deeper into the semis in 2012.

A well known and close family friend of captain- coach Scott Borg is rumoured to be signing with Mittagong to be their forward pack leader in 2012- watch this space. If true, Group referees and the judiciary are sure to get well accustomed with this particular gentleman.

Premiers Oakdale have been rocked by news that premiership winning coach Brendon Reeves has inked a deal with Group 7 club Kiama Knights. With varying rumours of player retirements and hiatuses, leading club secretary Tom Casey will be working overtime to sure up the Workers roster and locate a coach capable of delivering back-to-back premierships to the Burragorang. In positive news, the Workers are likely to field an U/18s team for the first time since 2007.

On the Moss Vale front, Dragons great Owen Saunders received life membership of his beloved club. Saunders, who scored one of the Group's greatest ever individual tries in the 1982 Grand Final, follows in the footsteps of his father Bill. Captain- coach Willie McDonald received the club's best and fairest.

East Campbelltown Eagles have been buoyed by news that classy five-eighth Mick Stevens will turn down rival offers to remain with the red n whites for 2012. Try scoring ace Damien Mostyn from Mounties Bundy is also rumoured to be close to agreeing to the Eagles terms.

Camden Rams have called for applications for their 1st Grade coach position and will make a decision some time early in November as to who takes charge of returning the Rams to powerhouse status in the Group.

Narellan are said close to securing a front rower from Cabramatta Bundy Cup and hope to announce his signature in the next week.

Mt Annan have confirmed with Group executives that they will field a 2nd Division team and U/18s in 2012.

Bundanoon will affiliate with the Group at the AGM in 2 weeks time and field a 2nd Division team and possibly an U/18Bs. There is said to be a Rugby Onion faction at Bundy still trying to wrestle control of the club and stop the defection. Illawarra Rugby officials are frantically trying to keep them in their competition.

The Oaks are expected to retain the services of Mark Lowe as head coach. The Tigers playing roster is said to be undergoing a massive overhaul for next season.

Warragamba Wombats will likely once again field a 2nd Division and U/18B grade in 2012.

The Appin community is excited by the club's return to 1st Grade action and sponsorship packages are selling fast in the little community. A few interesting faces are said to have attended the club's meet and greet day.

Campbelltown City have been dealt a severe blow with news that Country representative Jamie Szczerbanik will link with Group 11 powerhouse Parkes Spacemen in 2012. The Parkes deal includes healthy playing incentives and a job in the local mines. The City club will not take long to strike back and will be listing a raft of signings through the good oil in coming weeks.

Macarthur Bulls will field the Group's strongest U/18s team, with Freddy Borg as U/18s coach. Borg is the cousin of Canterbury Bulldogs 2012 head coach Jim Dymock and will command respect from his young charges. 2nd Division mentor Matt Hughes has stepped up his training regime and will do one more season for the road in 2012.

Thirlmere talisman Leo Dynevor is said to have finally hung up the boots, while Picton Magpies will announce a huge signing in the next fortnight and will be delivering one of the highest calibre players seen in the Group for many a year.

LOL, you're pretty close to the mark. Reeves told us during the season that a big offer had come his way, and we were in negotiations with him up until last week. However we did have a contingency plan if things broke down, and we will announce our coach hopefully by the end of the week.
Who is the Picton signing?
