It was bought to my attention today, the match up against Thirlmere and Narellan, going to be a big game with a lot of feeling, rip and tear boys!
Yes, a lot of feeling!! Roosters are favourites to win and the players and coach who left the Jets in late January would not be expecting the Jets to have done well so far. Its fair to say that 'super coach' was poached taking with him a number of Jets best players, one who was a Jets junior from way back and is/was good mates with Jets players. Woodo has the pressure on him to perform with all that talent and money at his disposal and coming off an unexpected loss last week. The U18s coach who stepped in the replace Woodo was not one Woodo had much respect for, so even the coaches are out to prove a point. I heard on the grapevine that Thirlmere asked Group Management for Narellan to consider putting Jets ex players that went to Thirlmere on a lower points level so that Thirlmere could get them under the threshold - what a hide!!

Just hope it doesn't turn into a biff fest. Does the 'Stitch Em Up' brigade still exist or have they grown up??
The match between Camden and Easts should be big Devil ....
Yes, Another great round of Group 6 Footy, a real test for our guys without Sammy Hoare and Wayde Dunley, and also missing Lale Neemia. Camden will step up and it will be s great game, so get out to Kirkham Park tomorrow. With the Reggies we are also missing Ben Jankowski, and Nathan Thorsen, 2 of our best all year, I must say some of the games I've seen in Reserve Grade this year has been at a very high level, a lot of teams must have some good depth, I've been impressed with the 18's Div 1 and 2, and the second division comp, they are all looking competitive. Anyone can win on there day!

At least get my name right BD.

Though it's not as bad as the Daily Telegraphs effort the other week.

Watched the Eagles play Camden. Think it was 22-0 to the Eagles with Camden looking very lackluster. Then Camden injected their bench and the game began to change. The young hooker that came on, I think it was under 18 Matt Applebee gave them a good edge around the ruck, and big forward Jack Watson had a real go. Halftime eagles 22-10.
Second half was pretty fiercely contested, but the eagles did enough to win 34-22. Good performance minus their half and hooker

Not great to hear if you're from Picton! They got us on the bell scoring 2 tries in the last 3 minutes to snatch victory. It was a good game though.
Our reserve grade continue to improve getting a good win 44-18 after being up 36-6 at half time.
The 18s went down to a strong Roos team but with a handful of key players to come back from injury at least they know they can compete with the best.

Great game today, thought we were gunna get flogged after the first 20 minutes but i think eagles thought they might of had it won and we started to show how good we could play. Dissapointed to loose but eagles do have a very well coached team. Can't wait until next round when we play them.

And doesn't any club update their sporting pulse website anymore???

If you wanted to get match reports or details you have to hire a private investigator. Some sites for clubs haven't been updated since last year, which to me is a waste of an opportunity to spread the word for sponsors, the club on how well they are doing and promote any functions coming up. One club has sponsors from 2010 still showing. Im sure their new sponsors are thrilled to be neglected.

Social media and the internet are the new ways to go, get with the times clubs!!

boys at rusey were saying today collies have got the sacked east ctown coach hazo to get em in group six next year bring seniors back for the tykes taking 1st grade there in 2013
I heard collies looking at affiliating 2013 and hazo could be a good fit in the 1st year back in group 6
Wonder if any easts players would follow coach hazo over to collies
No truth to that, I dont think our club would even talk to Hazo, I couldnt believe it when I seen him at our training session, we wouldnt entertain the thought as we have DeBono as our senior club coach and he would lead our Seniors into Group 6, he has a good record at the club with prior senior grades. We dont like taking East Campbelltown rejects.

That's probably a fair prediction. I can understand us being written off based on what we've achieved so far. But, we haven't had even close to a full strength squad yet this year.
In yesterday's game we had two under 18's in our starting line up for first grade. They both performed well considering, but obviously wouldn't be there if we were full strength.
Thankfully we have 3 weeks off now. Hopefully the half dozen or so blokes that are on the mend now will be fighting fit against Thirlmere when we resume.
IF we can manage to get something close to our best line up together for a few consecutive matches there may just be a few people from other clubs that get a surprise.

Dragons bury Wombats

BY LAUREN WRIGHT

Southern Highland News

MOSS VALE Dragons posted another big score yesterday with a 50-4 win over Warragamba Wombats at home.

It was not until the final minutes of the match that Warragamba were able to cross the line after four consecutive sets on the Dragons line.

From the start of the match, Moss Vale dominated and never allowed the Wombats into the match.

With about 10 players missing yesterday, Dragons coach Damien Barton said there were a few players who were forced to play in different positions.

"We were a bit worried at the start of the game but the way the boys played I was very happy," he said.

"We could have walked out there and used every excuse under the sun but everyone dug deep and had a go."

To their credit, Warragamba continued to put pressure on the Dragons until the final whistle blew, despite the mounting scoreline against them.

"It was a good, hard, fair game. These boys (Warragamba) really put in," Barton said.

"The scoreline was big in the end but they were still giving it to us in defence which was really good."

Barton said there were no individual standout performances yesterday afternoon in a match he described as "perfect".

"Every player did their job. The attack was great and the defence was even better so it was just a perfect game we played today."

Moss Vale's next challenge will be Bundanoon in two weeks and Barton said they could be in for a tough match.

"Local derbies, anything can happen. They're probably not going great on the ladder but everyone seems to rise when you're playing a local side so we'll just prepare and see how we go on the day," he said.

Good days footy yesterday if you are a Dragon. Score didnt really indicate the Wombats intensity. Best game Dragons have played all year. Good to see some of the Wombats come up to the clubhouse and have a few drinks and a chat. Thats what footy is all about. Well done to the Wombats. There 18's did well yesterday with only 11 players beating Mittagong fairly convincingly
