Only got to watch the last half of the Camden v C/town game last week but was a disgrace to see the ref check every call with the ref's boss who was running the line.......how embarrassing, if the refs boss is better than the ref out there, then get out there and do it yourself, dont force it on to someone else. The ref deserves HIGHER PAY!! The main thing with the refs are they are inconsistent week in week out, and i think with more pay maybe it will encourage more people to become reffs, that way where not stuck with 20 year old refs losing control of games, and also not stuck with old reffs either because having reffs who are old and unfit just destroys the game because instead of letting the game flow they blow penalty after penalty.

I think we at least need to get the standard of the bundy cup ref's they r all the up and coming, that are striving to be NRL ref's. I know its always gunna be hard but we have a group 6 comp at the moment that has some of the best players that arent playing NRL, and if we dont fix the ref situation we will go backwards. Group 6 have done a massive job on revamping the competition in the last few years they shoud be applauded for it but the refereeing is coming up shorrt at the moment.....

The ref deserves HIGHER PAY!! Allen was one of the best Refs the group has had. But by his own admission he is a little old to be doing the centre. It has been noticable that the younger referees are on edge when he is present at a game and they are more inclined to blow a lot of penalties for innocuous events. Based on performance the refs don't deserve higher pay. When things begin to change i'll get behind an increase if they ask for.

There needs to be more pay its common sense how is the pay the way it is gonna attract anyone to even waste there weekends for that.

I believe the younger refs would be better off not knowing anyone is there to examine them, and then receiving feedback the next day. There is way too much pressure on them already without adding to it. A Super 15 penalty-athon just frustrates the players and the crowd. Let the game flow and open up the 10m if tempers are flaring. Blokes struggling for breath soon forget about fighting. If we need to head-hunt referees and have to pay $250 a game for top-line referee talent, then so be it. It's worth it IMO. The rucks continue to be a source of frustration in all grades for players, but with referee numbers thin, a specific pocket/ ruck referee is probably out of the question just yet.

Why not poach some wests refs over they would need the extra games now with the iccc and im sure there would be a few in wests ranks love to do some group 6 games Just a thought it would give more numbers and offer more refs available for games

Allan refereed our Reserve Grade game last week against Camden, top of the table clash, easily one of the best games of Reserve Grade Footy I've ever seen, 12 penalties for the entire game, both teams with competion rates at 90 percent plus, and most of this come from Allan's refereeing, he kept the teams a good 10 meters, he controlled the rucks, made it a good game to watch, he is easily still up to 1st Grade refereeing! Can't beat experience!

did anyone go down to Albion Park? Yeah, pretty scrappy game, both teams looked like they struggled with combinations. No real stand out performances, the group 7 boys got the better of the game with a few bits of individual brilliance. Trotter boys went allright for 6, so did Dreves off the bench.
