So the pre season last night was a complete failure well who would of thought??
What I don't get the jl done a deal to push the clubs to the iccc 3 weeks ago yet sent out an email a week ago that a combined group 6 comp might be on the cards but out of spite have handed over clubs(without them knowing) mind you to the icccc with no jl representation on the board yet wouldn't hand them to group 6 to control which is across the rd?????
Mind blowing ain't it
Word is it's all once again to keep out rogue ctown clubs with jl stating that if they hand over the clubs to the iccc that they train/play be enforced on ctown clubs let jl clubs can train at there grounds but play out of thier boundaries?? What a crock of do do that looks like
Yes, to sane people it's mindblowing but we all know that the JL's desire for revenge against the three clubs is beyond sanity.
They would quite willingly destroy any senior competition in Campbelltown as long as they can stop those clubs from playing & training at their home grounds.
And what is even more amazing is that the NSWRL supports this behaviour and that the JL clubs allow themselves to be treated like this and are happily led by the nose without doing anything about it.
The JL clubs need to grow a backbone and get rid of this tyrant and their lackies.
I have a few questions to that, I know they will not be answered but I will throw them out there anywhere.

1. Why are the West senior clubs tolerating this :dunno: ????? Your players and volunteers who know what is happening are not happy about it. The time has come that the clubs go into bat for their players and volunteers and not just tell them that there is not much we can do about it??????

2. When will ALL the players, volunteers, their families and the local people of Campbelltown be informed that there will no longer be Senior Rugby League played each weekend in the Campbelltown area and to watch any you will have to travel out to the Camden/Mittagong/Bowral districts or travel down the M5???

3. How are these senior clubs that are being sent to a comp out of area be expected to run financially??? I have been a treasurer I know the costs involved in running senior teams. Where will the money come from, no gate takings, sponsors will start running to the hills, there is no point a local business sponsoring a local team if the team is not advertising their businesses in the local area.

I have complete faith in the JL and their running and organisation of the Junior League competition but the time has come for them to relinquish the control and constraints they have over the senior players and senior clubs in this area by allowing these teams and clubs to play where they want. Give something back to the players... Their freedom and choice. The JL has handed over control of these senior clubs to the ICCC.

I am nothing more than a mother/volunteer/lover of rugby league in this whole mess yet I can see the bigger picture, why cant others and the NSWRL?
Well written footymum, from one parent to another and a person that loves the game, this is how we all feel. Can you believe the Junior League can be so destructive.
Thanks but it makes no difference the ones in power always win regardless of the cost to the players, volunteers and the community.

In the meantime teams will continue to have no-where to train, players will leave because they cannot travel to the eastern suburbs for a game of footy and the family, friends and local community will not be able to go and regularly support their local players or clubs on a Sunday.

Can you imagine what would happen if this was going on in the parramatta or penrith districts??

We might as well start taking an interest in the soccer because it's gonna be the only bloody thing to go watch on a Sunday in the campbelltown area.

Job well done guys

So true, dad said do they really care, they get paid each week,

Just wondering what date the ICCC starts and what teams will be playing in it as there seems to be a bit of disharmony already and the season hasn't even kicked off.

I saw on here that Titans 2 was a no show for the round robin, did Titans 1 show up to the other round robin?
Dad said the ICCC starts after Easter weekend, Titans had one team that turned up and a no show for the other, might have something to do with playing Valley, Titans van looks good but Dad said it broke down the other day and he got a call from a bloke to go fix it!
The Valley played well considering it was our first hit out last week with about 4 of our starters not being able 2 play 4 1 reason or another. Full credit 2 Ingleburn they showed some character despite the loss. The boys looked very sharp doing ballwork 2nite not 2 mention the floggings they have been copping in the fitness depo on Tuesday nites. A big thank u 2 the boys 4 helping out the junior teams & coaches at training. Good bunch of blokes covering all corners as a team, individuals & a club. I'm very excited about the season ahead of us. Rally Valley!!!.

 Wake up hit and spin, would like to see what quality of players thirlmere would attract with the valleys budget of $0 . You obviously play in the forwards because you didn't think before your comment. If you had your facts right , it was A grade div 2, not 3. I would rather be a cat than a cock lol, . P.s forwards aren't the only players on the field, mate give credit where credit is due, this is a club that prides on a lot of history, they've done well to continue to bounce back regardless of all the hurdles.

Honestly people, the valley, titans, all saints and eaglevale have no choice but to play in the iccc, you's are making out , that it was there preference to play there. NONE of these teams wish to travel and play out that way. But you know what??? Freakin full credit to these teams who cop it on the chin, put up with the political bull- dodo and STILL wanna
Play footy, I encourage all of you fellas to get behind these teams , not bag them, cause they'll be up against the higher end of Sydney and proud to fly the flags of the Battlers of western Sydney. Sick of hearing about G6 and their dislike for our teams. Ridiculous how they think they can compare to these clubs eh!

Hit and Spin no reserve grade or even third grade for that matter for the Valley in 2012. Mate as for the Valley being a mob of cats can you shout me a milkshake next time im out your way?. Sounds like you were on the end of a loss to the Valley and havent quiet got over it, its taken you since 2009 to speak up about this. If group 6 had accepted the merge with the Wests comp we would have been running at the Thirlmere pack without the thought of if we win im gonna get $350 but if we lose im only gonna get $150 because we do it for pride and thats something you cant get with a cheque book. Like Lady Luck said how would your dear old Roosters be travelling if your team was playing for nothing more than love, be true to yourself and answer that question honestly. Ive been watching a couple of group 6 trials and beleive me its not all its cracked up to be. The Valley will Rally wherever we go Rally Valley. :yeah:

All Saints were defeated 3 tries to nil in the first game against Hurstville but came out in the second game and defeated last years runners up in the ICCC, St Christophers 3 tries to one. Good effort by the boys in their first trial against ICCC sides.

All Saints played trials today v Hurstville - who were a class above and trial v St Christophers who were poor. No indication of 2012 form. All Saints will only field one team in the ICCC which is made up from half last years A Grade (due to retirements, injury, family commitments, etc) and half Reggies plus 6 new additions.

What a surprise! Not.

Well Group 6 can breathe a sigh of relief - dodged that bullet...

Come on Geoff, tell us again about how terrible we are to knock the joint comp on the head!

Allow me to introduce myself... hi, I'm ***mh***. I'm a volunteer from the Canterbury Bankstown district with no club affiliation and wish to remain anonymous. I don't have much connections other than news that comes through the meetings. Posts that I write here are my own personal opinion and in no way represent the opinions or the reflections from my District. I hope my posts give you an outsiders point of view and help contribute to this healthy discussion on Junior Rugby League.

The news of your perils in Cambelltown and its surroundings are sad to hear. I can't imagine what your clubs are going though with not knowing what competition you'll be playing in or what fights you have to put up with with your own JL and Councils.

I believe Canterbury District has previously had healthy relationships with some of your clubs that have played in our district in the past. It was only as recent as 2007 that East Campbelltown won our A Grade competition.

I can see that your Senior clubs will now be joining the Sydney ICCC competition. First of all, welcome to the comp! Canterbury District have been part of the ICCC for two seasons now. Whilst some individuals believed that Canterbury would have been able to run their own comp, certain grades just didn't have the numbers and an amalgamation was required. The trend of amature Rugby League in Inner Sydney and its surroundings is that senior competitions are difficult to sustain. With the rising cost of house prices pushing the median further and further west, potential players move out of the area and weaker clubs can no longer afford to field Senior teams.

Canterbury, St George, Balmain, Souths and Roosters districts are still learning and making changes to improve the competition with help from the ICCC committee from NSWRL. Some of the clubs from Canterbury that I have spoken to have experienced some weird local rules when travelling to other districts. These are some of the obstacles that sides face with the ICCC but teams persevere and play on as best as they can.

I've also heard some excellent praise from visiting clubs from outer district when they visit Canterbury clubs, in terms of their hospitality, grounds, officials and the running of the game day.

But, as you will have all experienced in some point or another, some unsavioury incidents when egos and pride collide. Although 2010 had a couple of incidents, 2011 improved far better with less serious cases being heard.

The WSDJRL Clubs dissatisfaction of the CRL Group 6 combined competition has been well advertised, I hope your clubs find the ICCC to be a better competition for you. Although I've heard that Souths and St. George districts are refusing to travel any further than Liverpool, I hope commonsence prevails and they overturn this decision.

For your information, Canterbury are fielding the following teams in the A's and the 19's.

(as from 22-March)
A Grade: Auburn Warriors; Moorebank Rams; St. Christophers; St. George Dragons (Clempton Park)
A Reserves: Berala Bears
19/1: St. Christophers; Bankstown Bulls; St. George
19/2: Berala Bears
19/3: East Hills

Auburn and St. Johns will be fielding teams in the Sydney Shield and the Bundy Red Cup.

Just a few questions I have about WSDJRL...
1. I was at Hammondville last week end and I noticed several Moorebank players wearing LCC gear in the 12's. They seemed to be some very talented players, what's happening at LCC?

2. I've heard through the grape vine that the newly formed Liverpool Titans have been facing difficulty with their A grade/Shield squad and some of their junior sides. What's happening with Titans?

3. Are the Titans a breakaway club from another club?

I hope I can answer some of your questions about the ICCC or the Canterbury District. Feel free to ask.
For your reading, here are the 2011 ICCC competition rules, these might get you up to speed with the rest of the districts.

Obviously not that well advertised as it wasnt the WSDJRL that was dissatisfied it was the CRL Group 6 which had enough of the Poorly run/managed WSDJRL side of the Senior competition...

Group 6 is much more professionally run then both WSDJRL and the ICCCCCCCCCCC.......
