I have no ties with group 6 this year Jan, my son plays for All Saints, but I was enjoying the peaceful harmony that was starting to grow again between the districts. I know good people in G6 and and good people in West's. Why cant you just let it be and let time heal all. The Aussie way is to shake hands and have a beer when a fight is over. But you seem intent on that not happening. Poor form

I've been thinking further on this (there's nothing decent on the telly until NCIS starts). Thanks "jan" for bringing it all up again when we were all trying to be civilised about the issue. No one has ever explained to me how a combined Group 6/Wests senior comp would be of benefit to Group 6.
- We would lose our name and get called something lame like "The South Western Corridor" (LMAO)
- We'd lose our CRL identity, culture & traditions.
- We'd get an "independent" administrator but we already have a joint junior/senior paid EO.
- Wests Tigers would be under the impression that they "owned" us - at present we can form a relationship with any NRL club we wanted to.
- Eventually "the powers that be" would start to interfer with our juniors.
- We'd get a variety of competitions - but we already have 18-1's, 18-2's, Reserve Grade, First Grade & 2nd Division - so how many more comps do we need?!?
If anyone out there can explain how a joint comp would benefit Group 6, I would be happy to listen. (But no illiterate rants please - I'm looking for some sane discussion.)
Face facts Group 6 stole 3 yes 3 and now 4 WSDJRL clubs in 2011 in Eagles,Roos,Mac Fields and now ESA 18s I ask you this were would your great Group 6 be without these clubs? Regards Jan Now, now "Jan from JL", you seem to have ignored the bulk of my post here.
You asked the question why Group 6 wouldn't agree to the joint comp and I asked why would Group 6 revisit it.
I posted my reasons against it but you haven't provided any arguments as to how it would benefit Group 6 to be involved.
Do you have any arguments?
Is there any benefit at all for Group 6 or do you just need us to bolster the now defunct Wests seniors comp?
Come on "Jan from JL" you're starting to sound like Beefa, Bobcat & Pigshead (gee I miss those guys and their intelligent conversation), surely you can think up something that doesn't sound like a loopy, conspiracy rant?

1st time poster and just want some feedback on the recent NSWRL decision to allow 3 group 6 clubs back into the WSDJRL run area can some please clear up the below and give some answers as to why this ridiculous decision made please, and i hear 1 of the clubs is still based at Appin and cant even go back to their home ground as they have strained their relationship with their former jnr club.
1 * has group 6 now got a foot hole in WSDJRL boundaries and is this a ploy by NSWRL to have group 6 take the area for seniors 2 * so can any WSDJRL senior team now affiliat to group 6 and reside at home grounds they are at now 3 * why has this decision been made without consulting the areas owner WSDJRL 4 * why are group 6 so favored by NSWRL for this to happen 5* why are council helping these clubs get back and giving them grounds 6* who is running the game these days 7* why wont group 6 agree to a combined comp 8*why has WSDJRL been treated so poorly by NSWRL 9* does NSWRL even care about grass roots and boundaries anymore 10 * are there any boundaries any more or can any club choose to play and train were they like 11* why does WSDJRL get ppor local media coverage yet we constantly get eagles and roos thrown in our faces each week in the papers(seriously who cares youd think they are an NRL team) i am appauld by this decision and its a smack in the face to WSDJRL who do such a fantastic job well guess what NSWRL you have just been snookered!!!! by 3 selfish clubs who care little for grass roots and the plight of WSDJRL and are hell bent on destroying WSDJL at senior level. Why can't people like you and everyone else against us playing and training in the area get over it, do not speak about us being selfish or not caring about football from the grass roots level we are the only ones who gave a dam about what the players wanted, we still have players not being released to play who have to sit off every week this season watching their mates play because of bullshit politics of senior rugby league. If you have an issue take it up with the NSWRL I am sure they will listen to your concerns. To Warriors78 when you read this I am not whingeing again just replying to notsohappyjan and doing some more proactive complaining
pfffft come on footymum its all about you being selfish and you know it, you have choosen to associate with a club that is fronted by a bully and selfish individual who seeks nothing more then destroying the WSDJRL and for this you are proud? FACT * Your boys were offered a comp to play in and were told to hang in it will get better FACT * You choose to choin Mac Bulls and stain the ESA club in the process and for what i ask $$$$$ i hope it wasnt
FACT* You turned your back on ESA and the WSDJRL to join a rougue out of control so called Group 6 club. Lets be clear you have your own motives at heart not the boys as you make out oh no footymum its all about you and you wanting the glory of winning comps you knew the ICCC 19/s would test your superstar boys and put them in a weakend Group 6 comp be honest footymum Regards Jan Dear miserable oops sorry not happy at all Jan
Jan's Fiction * Your boys were offered a comp to play in and were told to hang in it will get better Fact * My boys were never offered a comp and we were asked to hold out until grand final and we would have answers which never came.
Jan's Fiction * You choose to choin Mac Bulls and stain the ESA club in the process and for what i ask $$$$$ i hope it wasnt
Fact * I chose along with my boys to JOIN the group 6 competition so we would get competitive games each week, ESA has not been stained by this and by saying so you are running down the good names of the people who are still involved in the senior teams there that are my friends. And if you want to make accusations of money being paid don't pass that on to my players please because getting my hair and nails done all the time takes money and they know nothing about it. PFFFTTT seriously please no money has been paid but if its up for offer, I am off to Bali soon so it could come in handy.
Jan's Fiction* You turned your back on ESA and the WSDJRL to join a rougue out of control so called Group 6 club. Fact* I never turned my back on ESA and I am still a financial member as well as an assistant manager to a junior team, and last time I checked we were in pretty good control.
Jan's Fiction* Lets be clear you have your own motives at heart not the boys as you make out oh no footymum its all about you and you wanting the glory of winning comps you knew the ICCC 19/s would test your superstar boys and put them in a weakend Group 6 comp be honest footymum Fact * I have had my glory Jan, got the jackets and the medalions to show for it to, you dont know me and even if you do your opinion of me means stuff all, the only ones I care about what they think are my boys, as for knowing my boys would get beat in the ICCC please again get your facts right that competition was announced after my boys had started playing and I even had 5 of them training in the Representative side by then. But I will pass on to them your compliment about them being superstars they will love that considering there is not one west rep player in the team.
Mac Bulls being run by a bully, well I can't say I have seen him do that but I promise if I do I will be sure to let him know that I can't be bullied as you are finding out.
Now if you get a chance and your not busy come down to our game at Waminda on Sunday and introduce yourself, the boys and I are looking forward to playing there. In the meantime get over your issues and let me get on with being selfish.
Regards
Happy Footymum

Spoken to a few wests club players and they say the iccc standards are bit below par with alot of third string clubs to bundy and Sydney shield teams and that it's good and allows wests clubs to compete From the players mouths everything under A grade is pretty easy footy so got to hand it to valley and titans for playing A grade even if it is against auburn and the likes third grade sides Main thing is the clubs seen happy and to play in the iccc and not fazed about group 6 footy in the wests area so maybe not happy jan is not talking to the players

Hope Mav can understand that post lol Totally, but I dont agree the footy is sub standard. I have already seen some pretty good entertaining footy from A reserve grade. I would like to know if other people think the games I have been posting are all sub standard? I keep an eye on the "stats" as you say you do, and it seems a lot of people are watching these sub standard football games.

I've read this before - it seems to be an abridged version of correspondence sent from the Wests JRL to NSWRL. I think we have all come to the conclusion that we need to get on with our comps. It's stupid and petty to keep clubs out of their own area and it's not doing anything but destroy RL in our South Western Sydney, Macarthur & the Southern Highlands. I think your clubs are happy playing in the strong ICCC and our clubs are certainly happy with our Group 6 comp. The Combined comp is OVER and won't be revisited by the Group 6 clubs as was made very clear to Brian Canavan earlier this year. Let's just get on with our various comps and let things settle.
The same Brian Canavan who Is a long time roosters ceo and a long time friend of roosters supremo and mastermind behind roosters club at Narellan.Do you think just possibly that this guy has ulterior motives in seeing Westsjrl suffer at the hands of Eastern Suburbs jrlcum 2014 oops g6 .You guys need to realise the real issues are that Westsjrl is getting infiltrated by Eastern Suburbs muppets re the eastern suburbs storm coming in 2015.

The problem with that guys its done with the stealth style theft of Western Suburbs junior talent which is unfair of all the proud kids and working class people of the Macarthur area that you share much more common allegiances with than the eastern suburbs set who are more concerned with status than integrity and more important things in life.

You may say it's unfair, but tell that to the Minichelo Brothers, Pia Brothers, Will Mataka, Peni Tagive etc, that have all be given an opportunity by the Roosters, really I don't care where the young men end up, If they get a shot and take it good for them, yes I would like to see every junior become a Wests Tiger but in a real world that is never going to happen. Remember Anthony Minichelo was cut by Wests S.G Ball, didn't make the team, he trialed for Roosters, made the squad and never looked back, I suppose they didn't have a $750 transfer fee back then to stop kids having an opportunity!

Typical Group 6 reply and from a moderator at best which proves this is a pro Group 6 run forum and why the constant bagging of WSDJRL
The way a 3 certain individuals atatck the WSDJRL on this forum with a number of alias profiles is an absolute disgrace these 3 individuals and you Group 6 blokes do nothing but hinder the progress of the WSDJRL who have taken the garbage dished out for years as has our fine senior club men and volunteers like Mr Potts,Mr Harvey,Mr Brown and Mr Hellyer add to even our female volunteers being attacked verbally and slandered you should all hang your heads in shame. Even to this day a certain individual still keeps his personal attacks up on WSDJRL board members all the while laughing at teh rubbish decision handed down by NSWRL a week ago.

News for you Group 6 look at your table all dominated by WSDJRL clubs and 1 imposter so called Group club who are a WSDJRL club in disguise as Mac Bulls
1st eagles dominate
res eagles again
3rds Mac fields
18s 1 esa/city
18s 2 eagles

its no surprise Group 6 has wanted control of WSDJRL area and look at the clubs you blokes have taken all dominate your comp and divisions now what in 10 years they will get stronger thats what and you Group 6 blokes allow this?????????????? staggering but its all about ego and teh main man wanting full control of WSDJRL area

well i say NO its not on and WSDJRL should and would fight this till the end MARK MY WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!

regards,

NOT HAPPY JAN
Dear nothappyjan

I am from no club that is in disguise and please get your facts right before you post on here firstly Mac Bulls 18's is not ESA, the players in the team have come from a few west clubs as well as another district and secondly no team is dominating the ladder a bit of an exageration on both statements there i think.
Maybe the JL needs to look at where the players have come from and ask themselves if the West senior comp was in such good shape WHY DID THE PLAYERS LEAVE IN THE FIRST PLACE ??????
I have never slandered any member from WDJRLFC or from any of its clubs, can't say the same respect was given to me by some though.
AS a matter of fact I sat down with ESA and the JL and asked for something to be done for my boys and the competition for 2012 but where did that get me NO WHERE....... What did you want the players and myself to do hang around and wait until the 11th hour to be told we would be sent to the ICCC, my boys were already training, playing trial matches and had a draw out weeks before that decision was even made. As for the good men and women of the west district go right back through the threads and actually see who was doing the slandering you might be surprised.
Again I will ask the question when will it be about the players ????????
get over it jan...who really gives a rats where players come from or where they go its THEIR choice....
Hello Doggiesgirl, You should be more concerned with the Appin Roos forming and taking your home base seeing as though they cannot get back in to Campbelltown. Regards Jan who let the cat out of bag...Appin Roos sounds great

The simple answer is that the Wests side of the WT merger needs to have a much stronger presence at junior level in the group 6 area and to have group 6 on the Wests board re decision making. Its a bloody long way for a kid from Mittagong to train at Bondi every second night.Theyre needs to be a much stronger harmonious environment between Wests and Group 6.Tell me for the slightly uneducated(I live in the city) whats wrong with Wests running the juniors(so we can get the Harold Matts and sg ball)with group 6 still to have a big say and group 6 running the seniors and having access to campbelltown grounds e.t.c and whatever else they may need. Why is this so hard to envisage as win win.

I have read the disgusting well distributed email that Wests Junior League has sent to the NSWRL demanding the decision be overturned. The common sense decision to allow the 3 clubs from Campbelltown Group 6 clubs be allowed to play and train in Campbelltown.
The way the letter was written and the language used in it is not of any standard that you would ever expect from a professional sporting body.
It was close to being a written tantrum.
It's time to grow up, stop throwing the toys out of the cot and start looking after your clubs in the ICCC and the game you claim to have at heart.
It's now time we all just got on with the football.
If you can't do that, then resign and let someone else run the local game that will.

Which makes me think who is really calling the shots out there and hiring a complete doofus who cant write a simple letter detailing an obvious plight. Are they hiring people to help the magpie cause or hinder the magpie cause.Put simply is a person at Wests with Wests best interest at heart in charge or is it a humphreys led muppet.Who actually wrote the stupid letter Galahs.

I suspect the "tanty" was a response to the fact that Geoff didn't get the the board to vote his way on the issue of the play/train rule. It's easy to throw your weight around if you've got big, bad Geoff to back you up but not so easy when your on your own.
Maybe the "tanty" was a response to the possibility that the gravy trian may soon leave without you. After all, if you get paid to administer a junior & senior league but you have no senior league, then it stands to reason that you shouldn't get paid for work that is no longer there.
This is karma - years of threats, bullying and sh#%%ing on people to get your own way maybe coming back to bite them on the arse.

Tommy, there a seperate issues here, wests jrl have no association with the wests magpies district league club. Wests jrl are getting upset over a decision handed down by nswrl, let's not drag the magpies into this , its nothing to do with them.
