The ICCC thrown at us may have been a good thing for Liverpool Clubs, All Saints, Valley and titans all seem to be having fun, we are not and it is killing our club, why couldnt our guys go to Group 6, when I say our guys I say Collies, this is do-do. we are getting hammered almost every game and our guys are already sick of travelling into the city, I do not understand that the wests Juniors gave our clubs up to the ICCC but couldnt give our clubs to Group 6,
what was the differance?
I'll tell you, Group 6 is on our back door, for gods sake, you are killing our club, everyone involved in the 19's is pissed, players already losing interest, parents dont want to go and I think it is time for a change of Board, get over yourselves.

Titans go down fighting

THE Liverpool Titans went down to Burwood/North Ryde in a thrilling contest at Concord on the weekend.

The Titans overturned an 18-12 half-time deficit to lead the Wolves 26-18 deep into the match.

But the Titans opponents were able to run away with the game and the competition points in the final seven minutes to win 38-26.

Injuries and suspensions are hampering the Titans progression at the moment, with Liverpool only able to field 16 players and therefore having one fewer interchange player for the whole game.

Titans coach Scott Baverstock refused to use the uneven numbers as an excuse.

“They played a bit better than us at the back end of the match, but it would be good to have a full squad to choose from,” he said.

“I was happy with the way we played but some young guys are struggling stepping up from the under-19s,” Baverstock said.

The Titans will host the St George Dragons at 3pm on Sunday at Jardine Park.

“We’ll have to be on our game, they’re a good side and a big side but anyone who plays us is going to know they’ve been in a game,” Baverstock said.

“We’re getting better every week, and I still think we can match any team.”

In other Titan news, reserve grade captain Ryan Dodd played his farewell game for the Titans in a 32-14 win last week.

Dodd has been a loyal clubman and junior coach and has announced his retirement from the Titans.

The club would like to thank him for his services and wish him all the best for the future.

I wouldn't go about blaming individual clubs for their decisions.

It is always going to be a tough decision, but it does appear that the ICCC better suits teams from Liverpool than Campbelltown

On the real team, The Ingleburn Tigers take on Minto at Worell at 3pm, matty got the boys primed for a big win, doing a great job Burner.

Our guys wouldnt be interested in playing in Group 6. We are happy playing in the ICCC.

IMO The ICCC so far has been good for most teams. There have not been any 60-90 nil thrashings like happened in G6 so most teams seem to playing at the correct level, with some minor regradings possible.
All Saints have enjoyed being undefeated so far, but tomorrow's match against Hurstville will test them to find where they really sit in this comp (with a couple of players out to injury). ESA are in the same position on the ladder but wont face Hurstville until the last round.

Well I wasn't wrong and this Hurstville side, that is full of extremely big, fast and hard hitting, players let us be intimidated by their size and strength and they put the cleaners through us 42-6. It's back to the drawing board for us. :dunno:

Game should be ready by tomorrow morning on the following link but certainly not our finest hour.

You should see our games, we have been getting belted to pillar to posts, its not a good move for us to build seniors.

I looked at your results Ronny and you have had some bad results sure, but some not so bad. There is regrading's this week so hopefully they may regrade you to 19-2s where you may find it a bit easier. :correct:

Have a look at our game and tell me that Hurstville shouldn't be in 1st grade

Mav you blokes only got beat by 40 and comps are not won in may
Wouldn't you strive to get better and next round be ready for them again rather then want them pushed up?
You've conceded already you can't beat them that's a poor attitude

If you notice I did say it's back to the drawing board, :correct: All I was trying to say is they are a very physical side and I dont think when we played in G6 there was any side that physical. Not giving up, but we have a lot of work to do if we want to beat them. In saying that I remember Alan Fry a few years ago when he was coaching SG Ball for Bulldogs got hammered by about 70 something against Roosters and the following week came back and won. So boy's are in good hands to get it right next round :winner:

We actually held our own in the first half. But with the consistant size and hits coming at them, the boys folded under the pressure. If you watch the game though, Hurstville are very dangerous when they are near your line but dont seem to have the same gusto coming off their own line. Something we will have to try to use to our advantage in rnd 2 :correct:

On a sadder note All Saints have lost young gun, ex Tiger cub, Sevau Stowers probably for the season, after breaking his ankle just before half time in the last game against Hurstville. Wishing you a speedy recovery Sevau.

It seems I called it right. These are the regradings

Hurstville Res 1's to 1st grade
Titans Res 1's to Res 2's
Penshurst Res 2's to Res 1's
Collies 19-1s to 19-2s

Even 8 team comp 1st and Res 1s, bye in res 2s
