WESTS JUNIORS ROUND 8 SATURDAY 16 JUNE 2012 AND ICCC ROUND 9 SUNDAY 17 JUNE 2012
ALL GAMES ARE CANCELLED DUE TO CLOSURE OF GROUNDS
And yet the soccer was still on. So was the rugby. Anyone know why one sport would be cancelled and others still allowed to play?
Comes down to the councils, the Group or Federations, individual clubs and there committee, and whether or not it is safe to proceed without injury to players.
The ICCC has a lot of wash outs, our guys will forget how to catch a ball.
Hopefully next weekend isn't a washout as well, it's our women in league round. We are wearing pink jerseys, and it is also our first home game of the year. The boys can't wait to play at Wood Park. Hopefully we get a decent crowd rock up and support the boys.
23rd of june is our Pink Round, The Tigers club has done a great job raising money and awareness and I find it dissapointing that no other club can do this sort of charity work. It will be great to see our seniors play at home as I for one was absolutly pissed about our last home game being at Warren Ritchie Oval, that is garbage and i'm glad it was called off. Wood park is home of the Tigers and that's where we should play all our games. why would the West Junior League move us there? just another attempt to stop us building, stop our club moving forward, this is always the case from Wests Juniors. Hopefully we can train this week, wood park has been closed on a number of training nights and this weather is really putting a damper on things.
Just to let you know Lifey, Our club has it's annual McGrath Game against Picton to raise money for the McGrath Foundation, We also have an annual day against Campbelltown City that raises money for the Men of League Foundation, so there is 3 clubs that do charity work for the community, we also enter a number of teams in the 24 Hour Walk Against Cancer, is that enough for you? I do congratulate your Club, it's good to see and yes MORE clubs could do charity work! I agree with footylover, you should be called Burners! The only reason Tigers where put on your jersey was to attract children to your club, doing this has killed off Ingleburn Bulldogs and Mac Fields, let see how the new All Stars perform. When are you people going to get over it, we are Tigers voted by our members and accepted by the Junior League, Julie Luke was secretary of our club but that has nothing to do with it, Bulldogs have the Hardy-Smiths and they are still involved at the Doggies, does that mean they get favouritism, I’m sick of listening to do-do from people saying we are only good because we stole the Tigers branding, they are just jealous they didn’t think of it, and I had a big part of getting this together. Look at the Titans, their branding has done nothing for them, they have a A Grade side struggling and a A Reserve side that is ready to fold, and last time I talked to my mate Toss he told me that if the President throws the keys at him one more time saying "if you can do a better job than do it" he will shove them keys so far in, that Tony Gregg will say it’s a soft pitch. Now that I have got a bit of my chest, what a great day yesterday, totally enjoyed it, even though we had to smuggle a few beers in for the boys and boy did we have a few, what Junior League don’t know won’t hurt, good on you Matty, you are a good club man and I’m happy to have you here at our club, my son is very happy and we all had a great day, good to beat Collies but better to beat Minto, haven’t they had a fall from grace, they are terrible, they are ordinary, from Champs to chumps and I love it. TIGERS ALL THE WAY.

Ingleburn RSL should have stayed the Burners! Just my opinion though. I understand they were trying to capture the broader audience by pitting the Tigers vs the Bulldogs but the Burners has a better ring to it. (tongue in cheek). blah blah blah, what do you know? NOTHING. Look at our club, 5 years ago we where the laughing stock and know we are the easily the best and soon to be biggest club in the Wests Junior League. We are the Champions.

As I stated, "IN MY OPINION", not yours or anyone else, I'm speaking out of sentiment as I'm sure with you (unsure if you ever played for The Burners), that people have for clubs that they have played for.
Instead of being so defensive wake up, a name change would've turned the club around, the committee, volunteers, players and decisions they make turns a club around, not just you!
Just keep to reporting on how the "Tigers" are going not slandering someone for having an opinion. I hope for the clubs sake your not the spokesperson for Ingleburn RSL as you do not have any comprehension of what people write or tact whatsoever.

Just as the other clubs are poorly run that's not our fault, and if I hear that our name change came from Julie Luke being a past secretary of Ingleburn RSL, I'll blow my stack, anyone that knows when Julie was Secretary of our club, it was a struggling club and we had a very poor committee and has been for many years after, our decission to become Tigers was a great business decission for our club, all the other clubs wished they thought of it.

To be honest mate I don't care where you are coming from, not once did I bag you for becoming the Tigers, that came from another forum member, if you read my post I state that I understand that it would create a rivalry similar to NRL "Tigers vs Bulldogs" and that in MY opinion that, with a touch of nostalgia, that I still like the name "The Burners". That is what this forum is about, opinions mate.
So next time before you reply to any post have a read and understand what it is saying before you post a reply. If it is negative have a crack, that's all good, but if it is expressing an opinion that again was not directly aimed at the club or a person, which if you read my post properly, it does not.
Anyway, moving on, good luck with the rest of the season. I look forward to seeing the clubs results from the ICCC.

Sorry Life Member, the facts are there, from your name change, Bulldogs/Hawks depleted over night, if you really want I could get the players numbers before and after your move to Tigers, yes that decision killed those clubs, just like Titans with All Saints, All Saints are down to 3 or 4 Junior Teams only! JUST THE FACTS!!!!!

All Saints continued thier winning run today winning 46-8 against a spirited Fivedock side. A good score for All Saints considering the poor completion rate's from them. They now have a week off due to Burwood pulling out of the competition.
Titans Beat Auburn Warriors 24-14 I think the score was?
Any other results?

A really good victory for the Collies boys today, it was a real boost for the boys and a win we really needed, I'm still iffy about the ICCC competition but the way our club and myself look at it, we are better off with people that know how to run a competition which we all know Wests Juniors are not capable off, it is frustrating with different rules where you play, compare that to last years joke of a competition we are all better off with the ICCC, I have been told that the Group 6 Combined Competition will be back in discussions and if that doesn't prosper Wests Juniors are thinking of running thier own stand alone competition if the Group 6 Combined Competition doesnt go ahead. I personally dont want another shamozzel like last year

Just heard that ESA lost thier first game of the year to Penshurst 40-16.. ESA down to 12 men for most of the game but this certainly makes the comp more unpredictable.

I personally dont want another shamozzel like last year I can pretty much guarantee that the only way Group 6 would agree to a combined comp next year, is if it was run by Group 6. I can't see the JL agreeing to these terms, so they will have to stand on their own.
Sorry, but why should we compromise? We have a good competition that will only get stronger and we have had all the JL interference that we can stomach. At every turn they have gone out of their way to undermine us, throw their weight around and they are still doing it with the referee debarcle. And there are clubs in the area that would not be welcome within a Group 6 comp.
The JL's best bet would be to stick to the ICCC and help strengthen that comp.

I think it was Kingsgrove's Bundy Cup Side .. He's 41 that's as old as BD. Goes to "Show" you may have plenty of years left yet

Liverpool Catholic Club honours league's women
http://liverpool-leader.whereilive.com.au/sport/story/liverpool-catholic-club-honours-leagues-women/
LIVERPOOL Catholic Club rugby league showed how much they valued women by turning themselves pink to honour the women in league.
In an initiative that spread from junior rugby league to the NRL, Women in League Week honours all women who help, support, volunteer, play, coach and referee rugby league.
The club was the only one in the region to wear special edition McGrath Foundation pink socks and were the only club in the inner city combined competition to wear pink uniforms for Women in League Week.
McGrath Foundation director Tracy Bevan is thrilled by the support for the McGrath Foundation from NRL teams, players and fans right across Australia.
"It's amazing the support we've received already this year, with a sell-out of socks for our pull on your socks campaign," she said
