Their attitude, the fact that they had just had 1 player given 10 in the bin and another player sent off. Their captain threatened to do it in the first half when the rest of his team where walking back to halfway for a restart, their coach and manager weren't happy |

That team of so called "rejects" has lost only one game this year. And you are correct we are under performing, more to do with attitude than abilty though. The season is finished if we get beat in the semis/finals so still a couple of weeks to try and get the heads right. The problem is not with Alan Fry, he knows more about coaching than most of us, the problem he is having is changing attitude. I can think of 5 players today that were so hung over they shouldn't have been playing, but we only had 17 and you have to play the cards you have got. And whether we do or do not pay our players is our business and not for me to discuss, we also play in A Res not A Res 2. But if we were in A Res 2 that would be fine as we just go about our own business and dont rubbish any team in any grade. What "Super" side are involved with Mr Hit & Spin? |

I wasnt at the game but do understand the police car you are talking about was one of our players on duty (on a break ) getting a feed so perhaps the chinese whispers are now in full flight. Im not getting into ping bong over this. I belive it was a great game and would think the radio callers couldnt talk today surely there voices would be GONE very exciting game to listern to over the radio. |

Titans 22 Valley 22 The Liverpool Titans and Valley United have played out a dramatic 22-all draw at Jardine Park in round sixteen of the Inner City Combined competition. It was supposed to be their third encounter of the year, but poor weather through 2012 had starved locals of the showdown. On Sunday afternoon, they weren’t disappointed. With their season on the line, the Titans were always going to come out firing and after only 14 minutes took the lead with a try to centre Zachary Rentoul. Five-eight Wade Baverstock hit the blindside on the fifth tackle and found Rentoul with a crisp cut out ball which handed the home side the lead. Valley hit back only five minutes later to tie the scores at 6 when Toner Alolmageie sliced through close to the line. Discipline was always going to be an issue in a fiery encounter and both sides were living dangerously. A string of penalties gifted Liverpool field position and would again take the lead through winger-turned-prop Allam El Asmar who crashed over next to the posts. Titans held a slender 12-6 lead going into the break. Liverpool came out firing in the second half and camped themselves on Valley’s tryline. Kyle Fraser got hit with a high shot that floored the big Titans prop for several minutes. The next passage of play would see both sides denied tries. Liverpool Titans set themselves up for a sweeping play back to the left giving Jerome Mose a passage to the tryline. Only to be bundled into touch by Valley’s cover defence. (photo sent re this passage of play.) Minutes later, Valley seemed destined to score their second try of the game but were penalised for a sheppard when Tobler ran behind his own player with a three man overlap outside him. Tobler made up for it soon after when he ran onto a perfect Shannon Thorne pass to level the scores at 12. Jerome Washbourne’s move to fullback seemed to be a masterstroke with the former backrower beating four Valley players to score under the posts and give the Titans the lead once more. Liverpool Titans committed the mortal sin of giving up possession the very next set after scoring points and the Valley would take full advantage with Alolmageie scoring his second with a soft try next to the posts. In such a tight contest, repeat sets were always going to be vital. Attacking Valley’s tryline, hooker Mitchell Jurd grubbered for the in-goal and forced a goal-line dropout. From the ensuing play, Saad El Asmar crashed over to give the Titans a 22-18 lead. Liverpool Titans would hurt themselves once more deep in their own half when a forced pass was deemed to float forward. Valley were back on the attack. With only five to play, Toner Alolmageie scored his hat-trick directly next to the posts to seemingly hand the visitors victory. But on a crazy old day at Jardine Park, Fadeh Saleh would miss the conversion. The Titans had a late chance at field goal with a penalty on halfway, but Joshua Elmar’s kick for touch didn’t find the sideline. A 22-all draw seemed a fair result. Kyle Fraser, Jerome Washbourne and the El Asmar brothers were strong for Liverpool Titans . Captain Rohan Tobler and Jarrod Wicks were tireless for Valley. In reserve grade, the Campbelltown Warriors were too good for the Titans running out 26-20 winners. Next week, the Titans face Moorebank Rams at Panania in another big first grade contest. |

Burwood defeated St George 46-18 meaning that Titans now have to beat Moorebank and Valley to defeat St George next week for them to make the semi's. All Saints have been given a guaranteed 4th spot in the semi's when Penshurst defeated Liechhardt. Interesting battle's next week in A Res 2 with Tigers (14) playing Minto (12) and Titans playing Arncliffe who are on 11 points. If Titans can beat Arncliffe West's sides finish 2,3,4 and Arncliffe win will not play semi's. If Tigers win and Arncliffe win Minto will not play semi's. |

Gee Mav how bad do All Saints look Fry must be alarmed ESA don't look a 40 point better side and if they are why did they not play up in A grade. Titans have been questioned but I'll give credit they still field an A grade side. |

I dont think ESA are a 40 point better side ( in fact the difference was 24 and I think we butchered another 20) and yes we are are own worst enemy. But if you watch the first half of the St Christophers game you can see what we can do on the day and if that clicks again then we are still in with a chance.

If this is what has happened it's disgraceful, continually giving it coverage on here will not help the local game. Let's please let the proper people deal with it and move on. Nothing said on here will change what has happened, only antagonise others. It is sad the few want to stuff it up for the many and I certainly do not think this alleged incident represents all of West's sides attitudes. I have deleted all references to the incident and will let the correct people deal with it. |
