Has Wests Junior League taken any action from what has happened on the weekend? Will anyone know the outcome or is it going to be swept under the carpet, if the punishment is harsh wouldn't it be better to inform other clubs to set an example!
Wests Juniors is on the case, threatening to come down hard on these clubs

Arncliffe forfeited in reserve grade
How strange that is. Arncliffe win and they were a big chance to go into the semi's and they forfeit giving themselves no chance.

All Saints struggling with injuries this week, but lucky for us the result is irrelevent. Would be nice to go into the semi's with a win in your last game but the boys will have to dig deep this week if they want that.

Talking to a few players in the iccc about their status regarding forfeits/washouts throughout the season and was quiet surprised at the similarity between the teams. Hard to get a roll on with the consecutive wash outs, forfiets due to injury and/or work commitments etc. I assure you more teams are in the same boat than what we think. Again I will say congratulations to the teams for adapting to a new structure of rugby league, hiccups are a part of progress. Congrats to the teams who are about to compete in the semi's regardless of division. I must say and I'm NOT targeting a committee or persons directly, I am still frustrated at certain compliance and sanctions enforced upon our clubs regarding disciplinary action. Very very odd and unwarranted. As for the wooden spoon jokes etc, tongue and cheek, where's the humor gone from the forum guys. Well out of curiosity can I ask Dan what did he do to have a shoulder and knee injury? " head, shoulders, knees & toes, knees & toes", it couldn't of been playing for the titans cause apparently you weren't there last year , tongue and cheek people, tongue and cheek and for goodness sake people can we please have an improvement or overhaul of referees, an overhaul would be sound to my ears, or a damn refresher course or similar, seen some shocking yet classic idiotic calls made this year goshhhhhhh! :dunno:

Yep! However wouldn't be wise to post the details, let's just say sad for this time of year and a wise person once said " trial by media" etc etc. Lol. Just very confused and defently only prominent in this neck of the woods.

The official word that was passed on to me was this...Both Valley and Titans forfeit their $3000 bond they had put up at the start of the year. To continue playing in this competition both sides must come up with a $10,000 bond. The brothers from Valley failed to front the judiciary and have been banned from playing until they do.
Due to different versions of events I cant comment on what exactly happened, but lets hope this puts more pressure on clubs to control these situations before they actually happen.

The unfortunate thing is the disrepute the minority bring to the many, that actually do the right thing.

It will be interesting to see who fields thier sides this weekend, and if they do can Valley perform missing 3 of their best. :dunno:

After taking a 3k loss you'd think the 2 clubs would strugge to front up with 10k
These are junior rugby league clubs on limited budgets and seems a nice way of saying bye bye your gone by the wests junior league which I think needs commending and been well over due.

:dunno: Really bigkahoona, do you really believe the better option is to get rid of another club in the western suburbs, considering the limited clubs now. I fail to see how it's long overdue to rid the dying clubs that exist now. I'm absolutely appalled that both clubs received an extra $10,000 fine on top of the $3000. Why? You ask. At no time during this match were any players placed on report, sent to the bin or sent off for an "altercation". Surely commonsense states therefore no players from the titans or the valley had anything to answer to the board. Secondly an altercation commenced after the full time bell, where a spectator, "a minor from an outside district club", persude one of the brothers your referring to. As a spectator that day, the issues started and finished outside the paddock. What I believe is both clubs were severly penalized for the actions of idiotic twits, provided that, by the referee, there were no offences committed on the field. So honestly if you think by being harsh on these clubs, hoping they would fold due to lack of finances, who then would you go and watch and/or support as your local. Well I guess there will be no more conversations on this forum as there wouldn't be a forum. One thing that was really dishearting to see amongst all the commotion that day, was the bitter disappointment and disarray of both coaches and staff. Seeing poor Denise sitting on table expressionsly and Toss blowing up about how sick he felt about the fighting. But you know, it's much better to get rid of them and the clubs they put their heart in soul in. " no way", we are from the western suburbs and our rugby league has always been played like this.

I agree maverick the minority certanly do ruin it for the honest ones. My opinion is to what options do these clubs undertake to ensure they control better their home games. Is it solely each clubs responsibility to fund these extra measures. Hiring security for example, that's not cheap. ????. I mean the titans might be able to afford it, through gatetakings, but far out how the hell is the valley suppose to fund it? No gate fee, poor canteen sales. In actual fact the valley has had no spectator altercations at all this year from their home ground. Again I personally believe the penalties were
Unwarranted.

I don't want to see clubs booted bigots up to the clubs to control off field issues inside their grounds also your club runs the day and is responsible.

Group 6 seem to do it well the ICC should be no different.
