Agreed - Sportsmanship was great. Would have been hard being a Berala Bear.

You are so right Dan, but I would like to annouce (to shut some of the big mouths up at least temporarily)

ALL SAINTS 42 - Berala 18 :yeah: :winner: :yeah: in a massive turnaround from these kids. After our fullback succumbing to his injuries we had to dig deep to find a fullback and who should put his hand up but the wiley old fox, "THE BIG SHOW" who did the job as well as anybody could of asked. The boys all lifted and played under adversity to come out winners and not too many more injuries.

We now have to try and back up and beat Penshurst on Sunday 4.40pm at Kogarah Jubilee Oval. :winner:

Well done boys this Academy Award winning movie aint over yet. :upyours: :upyours: :upyours:

Oh thats right we were supposed to give up :cstars:
Well done All Saints, you guys are the only representation of the Liverpool area, fly the Liverpool flag high, good luck in your next semi!

Berala are the best come back side in the comp, with the best second phase play in the comp. I was soooo.. nervous right until the very end where they scored a consolation try, but this time it was too late for them.

Footy is a funny game we played Berala 5 times this year and in normal time we have had 2 draws, we beat them by 2 once , they smacked us once, but we smacked them when we least expected it, but most needed it. I thought the "football gods" favoured Berala on Sunday, but smiled on us last night. :worship: :worship: :worship:

The All Saints coach opted for a video training session again last night, which will give the boys almost 5 days to recover. The ground was wet and slippery last night and I think they are fit enough to not train and that way they have no chance of aggravating any injuries.

Good luck to Warriors and Minto...... Warriors had not want to take Minto lightly as Minto has a history of getting more serious come the end of the year. We smacked them mid season last year, but come semis they are a totally different side.

Tubby as captain.

What's doing All Saints?
He is playing pretty good footy at the moment. Big Show would of been captain but he retired, but just couldn't stay away.

I couldn't imaging seeing tubby in any other jersey. That guy loves the club.

I think that All Saints to rally and get up over Penshurst in reggies div 1. In the reserves div 2, I think that Minto will win that one, they always find a way back into the game. We were leading the entire game last week, until the last 5-8 minutes, where they managed to pull up equal, kick a field goal and score right on full time. I think they will be too strong.

All saints by 2 in a close one, and Minto by 10

Thank you BD for your offer, unfortunatley due to circumstances it "may" not be in our best interest to accept them. I hope you understand we appreciate your offer but there is more at stake here. Once again we do appreciate your offer but we "may" have to decline due to outside differences. You have no idea how much your offer is appreciated.
Whatever decision is made it will be for the players so I know that you will understand that at the end of the day we have made what we think what will be right for the players and that at the end of the day is the name of the game.

I'm off to Jubilee Oval, Kogarah this arvo for the All Saints v Penshurst clash. The last time I visited Jubilee Oval was ten years ago in April 2002 for the SG Ball (under 18's) Final when the red hot Parramatta played Wests. That day the Wests side included All Saints players Liam Fulton (lock and captain), Bryce Gibbs (prop), Aaron Longmore (fullback) and Ryan Crook (winger) with Isaac DeGois out injured with a broken thumb. As expected the more fancied Parramatta raced away to a 16-0 lead plus Parramatta bombed a certain try after the halftime bell. However, in the second stanza Wests dug deep and that Magpie spirit slowly wore Parramatta down and with seconds remaining on the clock Wests winger Ryan Crook scored the winning try for Wests to claim an 18-16 win. It had been 31 years since Wests had last held aloft the SG Ball trophy. Lets hope that All Saints playing in borrowed black & white Wests jerseys (Penshurst also green & gold) can repeat that performance today.

Its all over for All Saints being outplayed tonight to the tune of 36-4. I dont think the score is a true indication of the game (it was 0-0 25mins into the game and Penshurst put 4 tries rapid fire before half time making it 24 -0) We scored first in the second half but again Penshurst came at us at the end and finished us off. I will post the game tomorrow and you can be the judge. The boys should hold their heads high it was always going to be hard with a mid week playoff. Not that it would of made any difference but you may be able to hear the ref call held on the last try, and when we started to release he allowed them to score a try. :cstars:

Bad luck to the boys Maverick.

And in regards to Mid week games, When i played for All Saints in the U/18's (Canterbury Comp) with Tubby and Alvaro we had to win our last comp game against ESA to make the finals.

Ended up having a draw on the Sunday, then had to play ESA again on the Tuesday night, Beat them and back up on the Thursday night against Berala.

Got over Berala and had to play on the Sunday against East Hills in the semis and we managed to win that one too.

Unfortunately we got knocked out the next week against St George.
