I made a few calls, and what I've been told by one of the clubs representitves is: No decision has been made yet, No reply from CRL or NSWRL Yes this deal was done 2 weeks ago You will love this one, Wests Juniors to hand over these teams have asked NSWRL to force the train play rule on the ROGUE clubs. South, Balmain, and St George refuse to come all the way to Campbelltown, meaning what ever Campbelltown sides that play will play out of Hillier (Liverpool) Wests Juniors will have NO representation on the ICCC boards, (I thought it was just Canterbury Comp) lucky to the ICCC, good move that one. Smells rottern. |

Here we go again, you Blokes can come and join the Inner City Combined Competition like everyone else, if not stay out of Campbelltown you are not wanted around here. And you Blokes should stop bagging the Junior League, they have done a fantastic job. You will never ever come back, over my dead body. |

I have spent today fuming over this whole matter. I have been told that no desicion has been made by the NSWRL regarding weather the rule will be inforced, I have been told by another party the rule has been changed and it will be enforced. I have been told that East and City were invited back to play in the ICCC along side West and because they refused the rule will be enforced and they and Bulls cannot come back. So while all those rumours and information is sent back and forth and while they make their desicions has anyone consider the players who have no-where to train each week so they make do with anywhere they can find without breaking a stupid rule or the players from the west clubs who stayed with their clubs hoping that west would come through for them and now have been given no choice but to play in the city comp or dont play and most of these kids will have no way of getting to all these games so will likely leave. Seems pretty unfair to me and I have had a gutful of it. NSWRL needs to take a hard look at what has happened to the senior football in the Campbelltown region and publicly explain to the Campbelltown locals, the players and their families why they cannot go and watch a good game of senior football anywhere in Campbelltown on a weekend, explain to our west juniors why they are unable to watch the players they look up to play footy unless they are driven by their parents for an hour. Most of all someone come and explain it to the 18's players who spend hours each training day ferrying their team mates out to the camden region to train twice a week because they are not allowed to train anywhere in their local area all because they wanted to play competitive football each week. These young men dont give a flying do-do about the politics they dont understand why there has to be so many problems just to train and play football and most of all they dont understand what they did wrong by going out to group 6 yet they are being punished for it. Please someone who makes all the decisons and wants these rules enforced come down to a training session and look these bloody kids in the eyes like I have to every week and tell them why you are punishing them after they have given years of service some over 10 years to their west junior clubs all because they wanted to play competitive football. |

So Pigshead if you are such an important person that you have the power to put your dead body on the line as to weather we come back or not, please explain to myself and everybody else who actually cares about the football in the Campbelltown region why is it that after I approached the JL last year with my club and told them if something was not done to fix the 18's competition we would lose our players and we were given a promise it would be fixed and yet here we are 9mths after that meeting some players left and it was only some players not whole teams and the rest that stayed have to travel to the city to play football. |

And that rant from Pigshead just sums up why Group 6 clubs refuse to even consider a joint comp with wests; why they will have no representation on the ICCC board, why the mooted joint Penrith comp fell through and why the joint canterbury comp fell through! The JL & NSWRL don't care about footy in Campbelltown, they only care that those clubs that didn't toe the line are punished and they will happily let RL die in that area to win a petty vendetta. |

As i first read the start of this new thread, i thought how good is this and about time this just had to happen, the further I read the more dissapointing it become. one posts saying th Wests Junior league has to be the worst run board in Rugby League, TOTALLY AGREE, so vandetta agreement and that is what everyone is saying surely couldnt be supported by NSWRL, if i was in charge of NSWRL and I had a spitful person approach me saying "hey I'll give you these team" BUT "do not let them low lifes back in the area" i know what I would say. thats the thing, is there any erational people in at NSWRL? time to hammer the commission. me and many other locals would love to see Group 6 back in Campbelltown, so the only football seen this year is at the pub on fox sports, |

Surely people that are there to promote and nurture Rugby League wouldn't do a deal to stop sides (PLAYERS) playing at there rightful grounds? That wouldn't happen. |

It's funny that to feel " welcomed" back in Campbelltown that the only stipulation for easts & city is to join a nswrl comp otherwise they are " not wanted " .Yet your last sentence implies that you don't want them back anyway.... so which is it, you genuinely want them back or simply doing this out of spite? . Maybe you can enlighten us as to what wests jrl are doing when you say they are " doing a fantastic job ". You say this often but back it up with little facts. Nothing has been decided as far as I know; The East Campbelltown Eagles JRLFC did get an invitation to play in the ICCC, and apart from that that is all I know. There has been a lot of speculation on this forum from when the ICCC was announced, the Campbelltown Eagles are just getting on with the job, our players will have a good comp to play in Group 6 and we are preparing for Round 1 against Campbelltown City. Our 18's are playing this week in a trial at Picton and our 1st Grade will take part in the Bush V's the Beach pre season competition. So until we are informed of anything knew, I think people on this forum are guessing, hoping or wishing something good comes out of this news about the ICCC who knows

Thank you , finally someone talking sense and actually acknowledging the players and coaching staff who holds these clubs together, the whole thing is in shambles thats the simple fact. It is people like you that are disheartened , having to face these players every week, not being able to shed positive news. Again it's the juniors who have no path to follow and we wonder why they go to other districts just to play bloody footy. Don't think they're asking for much" just to play a game of league". Funny how people like to respond to rumours on this forum but don't want to respond to comments from people who are in the thick of things.

Pigshead- are you fair dinkum. Didn't think it was up to you to call the shots on who? Can play where? At the end of the day, teams should train, play in their local area, common sense. Did I miss something? Is pigshead the nswrl, wsdjrl , judge and jury?????? |
