I just happened to run into a solicitor to whom I had a a little chat. Ends up he has a soft spot for the "Old Magpies" so we got talking about the options we'd have if this Wests Tigers proposal doesn't go to our members for a vote.

He's asked to if he could grab a copy of our constitution to have a better look over the weekend.
From my descriptions he said basically if the club breaches the agreement the members had with the board back in 1999 which from my documents were:

- to remain an operating football club
- to remain in all other Rugby League competitions run by the NSWRL including the 2nd highest tier
- to continue to have control of our junior reps and junior development sides
- to preserve the Western Suburbs Magpies name

...that our first port of call would be that a well worded document outlining our case would have to be submitted to ASIC. he also said he'd help me write such a letter.

He said there would also be other options available such as a vote of no confidence and a few other things I forget.

Hopefully after he has a better read of the documents over the weekend he'll be able to better advise us of even more options.

Good to see you are looking at a Legal fight for the Magpies but I dont think that will be needed, Mick is a good friend of mine and told me that the Magpies look promising to remain its own identitiy in the NSW Premier RL, He said the Tigers are going through hell at the moment with the Balmain Leagues Club and other issues like development officers being sued getting all too hard, Pressure must be mounting as Mick said he and Macca got into a good argument that had Mick pretty pissed off, Macca is (Pigshead) as you will know him on this forum.

The last thing Humphries wants is the West Tigers in front page of the papers with a legal battle against the Magpies army. It was embarrassing enough to be on Today Tonight, where is Darren Hinch, Shame Shame Shame on you Tigers

Hi Ozzy

I hope you are right about Mick.
How a decision hasnt been made about the NSW Cup situation is beyond me, considering that there are members on both the Wests Tigers White Page Committee and the Wests Magpies Board.
Im glad to hear that there seems to be some in fighting between the White Paper people, hopefully this will mean it gets filed away to the SHREDDER!

I'll settle for our Chairman giving the rounds of the kitchen to that sellout Pigshead!!!

Made my day!

The development officers-are they the development people or are the the junior development officers who foster young talent? If the junior league development people are getting sued, then it's all over.

That's what I'd like to know-development managers can mean one of two things. I'd like to know which development first.
