Im reading the details of this Magpies 25 Years celebration night and see nothing but dirty paw marks all over it. I'm going to write what many people will be thinking but hesitant to say. I am not a schoolar and droped out of school early, But I am not dumb and can see when people from Concord are trying to underestimate my intelligance. I have no doubt this night is controlled by Wests Tigers and not teh management of the Wests Magpies, someone tell me when we share th Campbelltown Stadium with the West Tigers? they have made it crystal clear that they would have Balmain Ryde eastwood playing before them rather than the Wests Magpies as shown in teh trialgame held at Campbelltown this year LIE Why would a best team of the Wests Magpies feature Wests Tigers players, No No No, these players should consist of Magpies players and as much as love Benji, what is he doing on the front of the advertising for this night, I cant remember Benji bleeding for the Magpie jersey. LIE Supporters can nominate there team through weststigers.com.au, you dirty grubs want to destroy our club, our history our future and you want us to log onto wests tigers .com, you make me sick in the way you have treated Campbelltown and the Wests Magpies. And that last one of my grievances to top it off which to me shows how disgusting, perthetic, disgraceful and embarrasing the West Tigers have become. Every one involved from the Board members, to the Wests leagues Clubs Campbelltown and Ashfield, hang your heads in shame for letting these people pull teh wool over your eyes. they are nothing but low people that should be exposed for all th dodgy dealing that is going on in Camp Concord. But its the final sentance that has made me filthy on the dirty actions of the Wests Tigers, Magpies needing all the help they can get and what a better opportunty with a night to celebrate for the Magpies and raise funds that could help them for the next 25 years at Campbelltown, but in a gruby attempt again to do there best not to support the Magpies lets donate money to teh Concord Hospital, lets take the sad passing of Mrs Farah out of the equation, I have no doubt that Sonia Farah was a lovely lady, well respected to the players and her local community, but if this night was to be dedicated to 25 years in Campbelltown why not keep this money and donate it to teh Childrens ward at campbelltown Hospital, we have one of teh worst hospitals know in the state and surely could help with a donation, but again all our resources gets sent to Concord, Wests Leagues Campbelltown known as the Golden Goose sees them paying for the Balmain side of things for a number of years because of the Balmain crash that cant pay a bill. And hearing what a great lady Mrs farah was, God rest her sole, I'm sure she woulld off wanted the money to go into future development into giving kids opportunity to play NRL like the opportuntiy Robbie was given. And again we are in an area that kids need every opportuntiy to strive. I had won tickets to Wests tigers on monday but I will be ripping them up, i and many other campbelltown locals are over your do-do and you wonder why you get 10,000 to games at campbelltown, we may not have an education from trinity Grammer, we may live in a housing commmision house, but we are not dumb. I hope you read this Mr humphries, and pass it on to your fellow Concord Tigers and start looking after this area, I will be forwarding this exact letter to the papers to expose your actions in Campbelltown. |

Here Here Chezo! I fully support everything you says! LOL Wests tigers are only running this because Wests Magpies Board and administration arent capable in doing it themselves. thats why they offloaded our junior reps to the Wests Tigers because they could do it themselves. Our board is as much to blame as the Wests tigers in this instance. We should not have allowed the Wests Tigers to organise this ! |

When they say us, who are saying this and what do they mean by us, does it mean Wests Tigers or Wests Magpies. It would seem strange for the Wests Tigers to be raising money for a club they are wanting to go away! |

I have been informed by Daniel that All profits from this event go to the magpies. Only the charity auction goes to the Concord hospital. The event has been organized entirely by Daniel and Rick Wayde. Wests Tigers are only helping to promote it. This should be a great night and I urge everyone to get behind it and attend. |

Disappointed I won't be able to make this one after having attended the last few but such is life. Hopefully the club gets the chance to have another one in the future |

Yeah, I'll have a go (1987-1999) - Fullback - Andrew Leeds Wingers - Ken McGuinness & Mark Bell/Brett Hodgson (can't split Bell and Hodgo and although probably out of position, gotta have em in there) Centres - Kevin McGuinness & Terry Hill Five-Eighth - Steve Georgallis Halfback - Jason Taylor Lock - Paul Langmack (c) Second row - Bob Lindner & Stephen Kearney Props - David Gillespie & John Skandalis Hooker - Jim Serdaris (just edges out Joe Thomas & Mescia) Reserves - Jason Lidden, Andrew Farrar, Joe Thomas, Harvey Howard Coach - Warren Ryan Tried to find a place for Trevor Cogger but couldn't. Heaps of other players to choose from. Tried to pick a team that did best for Western Suburbs rather than players who might have gone onto to bigger things elsewhere. |

I wonder how close our team will be compared to the ones named on the night, heres mine a bit similar to yours, based on performances for the maggies in the campbelltown era. 1.Andrew Leeds 2.Ken Mcguinness 3.Kevin McGuinness 4.Chris Lawrence 5.Darren Willis 6.Steve Georgallis 7.Jason Taylor 8. John Skandalis 9. Cherry Mescia 10.Harvey Howard 11. Bob Linder 12.Cameron Blair 13.Paul Langmack Reserves - Brett Hodgson, Trevor Cogger, Nathan waters,Brendan Tuuta Coach: Warren Ryan edges out tommy raudonikis as both coaches took the team to the finals but under warrens coaching were club champions in 1991 so on that alone i have picked him. I think we need to make sure we keep a positive attitude regarding this dinner. This us something we've all been asking for, a celebration of Wests players from the Campbelltown era. Wests Tigers have willingly thrown their support behind the idea. Something we have been long asking for (just like they do with Balmains functions) but this remains purely a Wests Magpies run affair. Any profits the function makes goes to the Magpies, not the Wests Tigers. As for the players selected, it must be remembered that we have had 25 years of Wests players, not all of them got the chance to play 1st grade for the Magpies, but they are still Wests players. That isn't their fault and they shouldn't be excluded. What this function needs is all Wests supporters, be it Western Suburbs or Wests Tigers supporters to get behind it. Not everything had been rosey in the last 25 years but Wests have survived. We are one of the great survivors and we should snd will celebrate that, and honor the boys who have pulled on Wests jerseys and represented us on the hallow turf of Orana Park. It will be a great night and I urge you all to come. If we want more of these events we need to support the ones we get. Wests forever! |

There's two different sides you could name: One solely Western Suburbs 1987-99, or one with Western Suburbs 1987-99 and Magpie juniors 2000-present (Jnrs also including players not born and bred here but coming through our system). WS 1987-99 1. Andrew Leeds (And goalkicker, captain, coach, trainer, anything else you want... when I was a kid, he was GOD!) 2. Ken McGuinness 3. Kevin McGuinness 4. Terry Hill 5. Brett Hodgson 6. Steve Georgallis 7. Jason Taylor 8. David Gillespie 9. Ciriaco Mescia 10. John Skandalis 11. Stephen Kearney 12. Bob Lindner 13. Paul Langmack 14. Harvey Howard 15. Jim Serdaris 16. Darren Britt 17. Andrew Farrar COACH: Tommy Raudonikis (Ryan got a club championship but he also had more to work with than what Tommy did) Combined Western Suburbs-WT Magpie juniors 1. Andrew Leeds 2. Ken McGuinness 3. Kevin McGuinness 4. Chris Lawrence 5. Brett Hodgson 6. Steve Georgallis 7. Jason Taylor 8. David Gillespie 9. Isaac De Gois 10. Bryce Gibbs 11. Anthony L'Affranchi 12. Bob Lindner 13. Paul Langmack 14. Harvey Howard 15. John Skandalis 16. Ciriaco Mescia 17. Andrew Farrar COACH: Tommy Raudonikis (Again, what Sheens has and had to work with, he should have 3 premierships by now minimum). BTW, just as an aside: Is it just me, or do we have a real talent in producing backrowers and three-quarters, but a seeming inability to produce halves? |

Sorry for my ignorance, but I was of the opinion that this best of side will be players from both the Wests Magpies and Wests Tigers. So for example, Benji Marshall would be named at five eigth. Think this needs to be clarified. |
