I've heard a very interesting rumour today - don't know how much credence there is in it but it's starting to do the rounds. The Campbelltown clubs who are currently playing in Group 6 are seen as being "on loan" from Wests JRL by NSWRL and that "loan" will be recalled next year because the wests JL and clubs don't want to play in the ICCC and will need them to form a comp.
You are the first to jump on someone about rumors and then you write this, we are happy with the ICCC, for the first time in many years we had a great time playing in the level that we are at. We made the semis this year and apart from a few washouts we wouldnt want it any other way. Your telling us that we will now be back in the Wests Juniors seperately run senior competition playing East Campbelltown Reserve Grade or Campbelltown Kangaroos Reserve Grade or Macarthur Bulls reserve Grade, are you dumb? we wont have a team by round 2. Just because we have 1 club that has a $10,000 bounty on their heads wants to jump ship, you say we all want to jump ship. Get your tickets of your self. We are going nowhere but the ICC Competition for 2013.
This is the first sentence of what I said: "I've heard a very interesting rumour today - don't know how much credence there is in it but it's starting to do the rounds." Note where I have bolded it? I said it was a rumour and that I don't know how much truth was in it (credence). That would indicate that I don't know if it was the truth or not. I got the info from a source that has always been very reliable. No I'm not "dumb" but I'm starting to think that you may be! I've also checked and I have no tickets on myself - simply relaying what I was told today.
You won't have a say in what happens, West Juniors have way more bargaining power with the backing of Wests Leagues, Group 6 is struggling to pay it's current EO as he couldn't find a a sponsor for the local chook raffle. If NSWRL turns around and let's us all play in Group 6, there will be nothing you could do about it. We had 1 troubled under 18's team that killed the competition out here and we all get tared with the same brush.
Didn't Collies also have an issue with their Reserve Grade team a few years ago that was the catalyst for the split from the joint comp???? I can only remember Mt Annan causing a bit of a stir in Group 6, no 18's team though? As this is what this thread is about - Group 6. Looking forward to next years comp, any more confirmed / rumoured signings?
Why do people bring that up, it was nothing to do with Rugby League, all young blokes have a stouch from time to time, it wasn't at a game or anything to do with RL. that's all this was and people from Group 6 used it as an excuse to bail out on the biggest competition of it's time. Couldn't handle us winning 2nd Division and we would have won Reserve Grade that year.
You wouldv'e won Reserve Grade this year? Please........... You have to have a 1st Grade to win a Reserve Grade!

There are only a few and there will always be some that continue to push to reform some sort of G6/ Wests venture. Most of us are happy to play in the ICCC. "Most" of us dont have any major issues except for the rain rule, and 1 and only 1 game brought bad publicity for what happened after the game, not during. As usual though we are left in the dark by the powers that be until the last minute and this is what causes continual speculation. The sooner an official announcement is made by Wests as to the format of next year, the better for all.
It must be hell for clubs not knowing where they are playing up until the last minute. Trying to organize teams without knowing the structure of the comp on top of the usual beginning of the season chaos. (Will the jerseys arrive on time? Will we have enough for a team? XXX said he was playing but he hasn't rocked up to training yet?) Trust me, been there done that! And it is hell! You don't know what teams you are going to play? what players are where? Do we even have a comp? We feel so much more organized now as we start to look at sponsors for 2013, Playing gear, Ground Maintanance, Liquor License etc, we can finally move forward.

A lot of smoke and mirrors down Mossy way, no Whiteman no Geddes? What have they got? I'd be chasing the core of the 2010 playing squad not imports.
Where did any previous quote say that Geddes was coming as a player? All that was said was that he has agreed to terms. And that is from the horses mouth. Jetter seems to know alot about what is and isnt going on in other clubs. Must be on alot of committees Whiteman is still keen on the Mossy job and only held discussions with the President of the club on Saturday, so there seems to be a bit pot stirring on here from a few
Everyone ran with the notion he was playing......but there was no quick denial from you or anyone from Moss Vale. Agreed to terms...what does that mean? He could have agreed to pop in one day when he is down horse riding one day, or become coach??? Pretty wide extremes. If Whiteman is still interested in coaching at MV then Geddes isnt in line for coach, maybe specialist coach??? Fill us in rusty
I talked to my mate Benny Barba Baker over the weekend, his happy to have a look around and might even try something new other than Group 6, wants a bit more than what he was getting at Narellan and Narellen letting him know that this is what you'll get and thats it, I'm a bit dissapointed that he may not be a Narellan Jet next year but love the thought of Gallant being there, would be good if he stayed, with Kevin, Gallant and Baker we would have the fastest backline in Group 6
I forgot to mention that Glen Whiteman will be at Appin next year, put the connection together. 100% positive that he will not be at Moss Vale. And the romours are going around that Reves has pulled the Pin on the Oakdale job handing it over to Hazelton, again my connection, put it together said Hazelton was happy to do the Rep side only. Where are you TC?
Just having a laugh at all the do-do on here. Either someone is having a lot of fun with you guys, or some posters are just making stuff up. I'm through commenting on it at the moment. There is no credibility in this forum at all. Oakdale are back apparently with all the punch from 2011. kyle weh signed and definitelty not at camden for the dribbling mouths, and nearly all missing forwards in 2012 are back.
not alot of brains and truth in this forum. Hazo, not much pull out there, couldn't wreck anything at that club. Benny Baker not wanted

Was it the executive officer we wrote the news letter? If so he seems to be venting at Mitta for questioning is job?? Rumblings have it most clubs want the position funded in part so if the exec can't as Jerry Maquire said "show me the money" then he would obviously have to step a side. Was the high gate fees charged at grand final to cover the execs fail to bring in sponsors? What prize money was paid to winning clubs. Should be decent given the price hike in gates.
I'd imagine you'd have to ask the EO that or Mitta. I think he was given 3 years to to cover the cost of the position via sponsorship and he's only been in the job 12 months if that - not sure when he was appointed. I don't know what the prize money was for the Grand Finals but BD could tell you what the Eagles got for 1st & reserve grade.
Dont you think that him being in this job for a year and he hasn't raised a cent in sponsorship has some concern, and you want to wait for 3 years, please Black and White. I own my own buisness and if I dont make money, I dont have a job, same case here. My bank wouldnt wait for three years to start making money, good on Mittagong for brining this to a head. He was at our club and he couldnt attract sponsors then so how will he attract sponsors now? I would like to know who "Narellan Jet" is because that person knows nothing about Narellan. Who ever this person is using the Narellan Juniors logo seems way off the mark. This is person one of those people who claim to be a club supporter that actually knows nothing about the club he or she claims to support?????? In 2011 the last year the EO was treaserer of Narellan Seniors, i know as a memeber of both the junior and senior Narellan Clubs and there are not too manly off us who are. The EO was suscessfull in applying for a $9K grant to upgrade the mini field into the new mod field and with the 1st grade coach raised $35K sponsorship for the seniors. I wonder what work he has done behind the scenses to get your new grant for a new mower??? If you were a memeber you could look at the books, it's all there but i guess your not !!! Stop using Narellan's logo you sad pretender

It would be good if other Group 6 clubs posted their awards as well once they've had their presentations.

Can't happen , that will deplete neighboring clubs, eventually will effect at senior level also. Bargo, Bundanoon should only ever be 2nd division pub teams clubs like Picton and Thirlemere are close enough the Group allowing Bargo to grow is fraught with danger to other clubs.

Bargo have applied to affiliate with Group 6 juniors and it will be up to the Group 6 clubs to approve or deny the request for affiliation at the AGM.
If the clubs have any concerns they should deny the request at the AGM. Just because they are applying doesn't mean that acceptance is a fore gone conclusion.
It will be very interesting to see what happens in a couple of weeks.

YES, they may take a few players from Thirlmere but Thirlmere have 30 odd teams in the Juniors.... 1 or 2 clubs having 30 sides and the rest having 15 and under isn't helping the Group go forward.... if every club had 150 kids the competition would be fantastic and the draw would be much easier to manage!!! LOL am i right Black & White?????

We could all play home and away and be one big happy family.
And I think pigs just flew past my window LOL!

With the release of the new NRL logos, will the group 6 logo be changing at all for a bit of conformity with the new CRL logo?

Brett Kimmorley has agreed to play a one off for Orange cyms in 2013. Why don't group 6 do a similar thing. There are a lot of former NRL players from the region.

Can someone explain to me why my last posting was deleted? It wasn’t defamatory in anyway what so ever but someone doesn’t like the facts put on the forum regarding my relationship with Narellan Jets and the CURRENT successful committee.
Can some tell me if this is defamatory?
Please Country Boy or should I say S.H, I’m not going to bother explaining who I am and I'm not going to get into a key board argument. I can tell you this, my family has been a huge part of the Narellan club for a lot longer than your involvement, We have seen the club through the highs and lows, and I only commented on what I had seen in the past few years, Juniors and Seniors has had an amazing transformation this year and I see it from the work with the current club members, don’t take this personal please, we have increased sponsorship and yes Daryn Falshaw has a lot to do with it, our Juniors have also moved forward in organization and you should be happy for how the club is being run, isn’t that what all ex members should be happy to see is that when you step aside the legacy continues to move forward.
