Off the topic anyone got tips for this weeks games
Oakdale v Camden
Narellan v moss vale
Thirlmere v oaks
Picton v city
Mine are oakdale by 30 Narellan by 40 oaks to upset thirlmere by 6 Picton to win in a close one by 4
Eagles v Mitta, Eagles by 8 in a tight one due to Eagles down an match fitness.
That's abit harsh, I back us to do eagles by 10
Also think the eagles will struggle with their fitness Mittagong to good and with bakers inside knowledge they will get up by 14+ ( heard borgy is out injured any truth) and favorites to win the other games
Borgy is injured and he is not going to be at that game as he's going away, also I'm not sure baker has any inside knowledge towards eagles, and so what if he does, we will play smarter faster and stronger then the eagles
I've heard Narellan jets have bought another high profile player can't wait for people to head this one
and who might that be?
Don't think they have!!!!!
More big names, the better I say and at moment I hear not concrete till he's at training.
Surely they couldn't be under points with anymore "names" in the team..no matter how much money they have to spend
Im tipping they are talking about p.j.. Peter jenson ex thirlmere first grader
No chipper I believe the player is announcing on twitter either today or tomorrow so look for it
Put it this way Narellan haven't always cemented an actual halfback but come next week the best halfback in the group will be on board the mighty jets, Narellan jet knows who it is but is afraid of saying his name because he wants to make sure he actually plays first.... This signing will shake the group up big time
Halfback hmmmm!

That's alright seems as though most of jets team are buy ins...not many juniors up and coming
Fairy Floss, get over it, stick your head back in the sand, you have no idea about the Jets or any other team in Group 6 for that matter, you'd be surprised to know that they have a healthy roster of up and coming Jets juniors. I'd stop worrying about everyone else's team and worry where your teams going to play this year or not?
Rammers were looking great at training last night.
Thanks for the advice but I shan't be needing it..I just say it I see it..You would be surprised with what I know champion but you stick to the idea that I don't know..

Maybe after hearing from both parties they need to clarify issues that had arisen during the meeting with their legal team. I hardly think it's a conspiracy - they've obviously dealt with these situations before and know what they're doing.

What is the issue Black and White?

and dont you work in the Group 6 CRL office?

Could you please Elaborate on the stance taken by the Group 6 Committee?

It’s hard for the average Joe to understand, the lack of information that has been forthcoming from the Group on the entire matter has been appalling.

And now an adjournment in the hearing, this doesn’t smell like roses.

If this was so unambiguous, it wouldn’t have found the time at CRL

More to come on this subject, Interesting.

No I don't work in the CRL office nor am I involved in the seniors.

The issue that the clubs voted eagles out on was their non compliance with group rules and procedures - the clubs had no confidence that eagles would follow these in the future.

And you iced your own cake with the thuggery at Claymore.

But what is the point of me even posting this?

We will now have a mass of posts screaming about POINTS, POINTS, POINTS from all the so-called new members and others with an axe to grind.

We'll get posts full of illiterate posturing & threats. Posts about contacting Ray Hadley, Julia Gillard & god.

Seriously, if your club had worked with management instead of behaving like petulant school boys and refusing to play, you wouldn't be in the position you are in now. Point the finger where it belongs, at your management. They manoeuvred your club right out of the comp.

The Eagles are not bigger than the Group 6 comp and the General Committee made the decision to get rid of you - that's 2 delegates from every senior club, the referees & juniors - an awful lot of votes to lose. Management have only 7 votes, so if it was just management against you, but had the support of the clubs, you would still be the comp. Your actions, before and after the event, have lost you any support you might have had to start with, from the vast majority of the clubs. Groups 6 clubs have proved many times that they won't be bullied by anyone.

If the CRL rules in your favour it will be on a procedural mistake only which could easily be corrected by going through the process of holding another meeting and taking another vote. What would be the outcome of that vote? I suspect a resounding "NO" from all the clubs and you're out again.

Or clubs may decide to give you a dose of your own medicine and forfeit any of your home games at the last minute. Some may be happy to wear the fine just for the satisfaction of doing it.

Or they simply wait till the next AGM and refuse your request for affiliation.

Why didn't your management appeal to the general committee in the first place after the points issue arose? That would have been the sensible and correct procedural thing to do and none of this would be happening.

Why is it that other clubs have managed to deal with their points issues without resorting to disrupting an entire comp? Not because they've got the inside running or "favours" but because they've worked with what they've got and with management, without throwing a gigantic tantrum.

Let the screaming, threats & gnashing of teeth begin!

The hearing ran for about an hour. Both sides spoke and answered questions put to them. I can't see anything sinister about them adjourning the meeting to discuss what they heard and clarify any legal questions. Just because the hearing didn't pan out the way the eagles told everyone it would, doesn't mean the CRL did the wrong thing, it just means your club underestimated the time frame.

It would be an extremely dramatic move on the CRL's part for them to overturn a decision made by a group's General Committee in a democratic process. I could see them ruling against the Group if there was a mistake in the procedure that the Management Committee followed but the way your club has conducted themselves this year will definitely be an issue.

And I ask again;

"Why didn't your management appeal to the general committee in the first place after the points issue arose? That would have been the sensible and correct procedural thing to do and none of this would be happening.

Firstly, this is not "my club" anymore (I am with All Saints). I, like you, am a moderator. But I look at both sides of the picture. You seem to have a one sided view. If the CRL deemed the Eagles to be totally wrong, then legal advice would not be needed to simply uphold the decision made by Group 6. No conspiracy, just a fact, that the reasons for Eagles dismissal may or may not have been proper or in the spirit of a very good competition.

Will you change your mind if the CRL changes the decision ? :dunno:

I will wait to see what is said by the CRL next week before I make my final opinion.
