sad for the eagles and group 6, the comp is definatly softer without the eagles in there, you no youve played a game of footy when you play them. |

Lets hope he can play for Jets! Wests Tigers were keen to take him straight away and use him for NYC, hopefully it wasn't all talk to get him to sign on.He was supposed to start training today but injured his knee yesterday. Wests have the bye this weekend so fingers crossed he can play for Jets against arch enemies Camden

The General Committee voted pretty overwhelmingly not to accept Eagles' motion to re-affiliate with Group 6. It seems that the "mediation" idea was Eagles spin. They put their case for re-affiliation forward but it was "points, points, points" the general committee obviously weren't convinced. There was a representative of the CRL present. |

Enjoy the rest of the season knowing that guys who just wanted to play footy had that taken away from them, as for Blue Devil being a whinger if you put in so much hard work and time I'm sure you'd be pissed to. |

Great comments Black&White, just goes to show how ridiculous the whole situation is, one has to ask how the Group management allowed all this to get this far in the first place, i would think questions need to be asked as to the leadership shown by those in control, wether you like the Eagles or not the fact remains the negative publicity the fact that some 70 odd players will not be playing cannot be lost in all this and has been shame brought on our game, in reading all comments it would seem the fact that the Eagles are very strong in 1st Grade made the decision for opposition too tempting to pass up, i cant help to think as to what happens to the under 18's as we all know such a crucial age and if not for sport the potential for things to go wrong for them increases ( that in itself is very sad ). I refuse to believe and accept that fault lays with just one side and those in control should be reviewed and if found to be at fault should step-down, i do believe also the Eagles need to look at where it went wrong and make changes, celebrating 100 years will long be remembered as the removal of the Campbelltown Eagles that in itself is a real shame.

As for eagles bad luck, when it comes to strength of the comp. This year is a mile stronger all over the park compared to last year. Personally would have loved to play the eagles this year but it's not to be. We have ex first graders/ players returned to comp and they seem to have dispersed evenly to clubs. Unfortunately moss vale struggle and it's a shame hindmarsh couldn't offer more games but Foxtel obviously pays well. I think this years finals will be great footy and no team is guaranteed. If I was to give my Bolter to be in the mix would be the rams, with or without any possible eagles recruits they were a lot better than I'd expected after loosing Neil and sam Campbell . My prediction for top 5 is OAkdale Mittagong Narellan Thirlmere Camden |

Ok, as the eagles are no longer part of group 6 then it should not dominate any more space on this forum, people need to let it go know and we should get back to talking about the group 6 comp again. Speaking of moss vale , hindmarsh and his foxtel commitments has increased hence why he hasn't been back and is now commentating on nsw cup, and on the various magazine programs with matty johns and sterlo etc . With that as well as his ambassador role within rugby league has meant he has been a busy lad. He has expressed interest in playing the return derby against Mittagong at Mittagong in which the lions will wear a special pink strip to pay tribute to the woman in league. ![]() Plus also he may play against Camden which will be the 60th anniversary clash between the two clubs. Lions are strong also, oakdale lost by two with a 17-4 penalty count against them. I'd dare say if oakdales discipline is sorted that score would have been different. Not to take away from the lions they play well as a team. I hope for there sake borgy stays healthy because without him and his brother they did struggle vs tigers. Picton is a good ground for the gf I just hope the ground holds up, it normally turns to dust/mud depending on the weather. |
