Slightly off topic but here goes.. My son Matt Blunden has not been at Eagles since 2011. All Saints have been waiting on his transfer from G6 which was cleared last Wednesday By Eagles, which was his last club at the time. He has been playing union with Camden ever since. We have now been told there is a hold up on all transfers as Eagles owe the group money. Why does this have anything to do with his transfer or any other player transfers, Ben Baker was very quickly tranferred. Are the group going to hold all these players to ransom until Eagles pay what the Group says they owe.

Im sure Group 6 will see the logic in this. Without allowing Eagles players to transfer to other clubs means Hoare can't play for Camden or Group 6..... neither can any other player EVER play rugby league again if Eagles never clear their debt.

Again no consideration what so ever for the players unless of course the Group want them in the Group side. These poor players are the collateral damage in all this and it is not good for rugby league. I can see AFL and Rugby Union rubbing their hands with glee.

Oakdale won't win it
Who will?
Oakdale would have the strongest team across the park and Kyle Weh and mitch gough have the x factor to bring points out of nothing

Barron's hat-trick decides day
By Sean Cunningham

NARELLAN pushed Group 6 first grade rugby league ladder leaders Oakdale on Sunday but lost 32-24.

Luke Barron set up Oakdale for an important win in the top of the table clash by scoring his team's first three tries.

Barron took three minutes to score his first and had his hat-trick by the 23rd minute.

Both teams scored try for try in the first half. Oakdale led 16-14 at half-time.

They raced away to a handy 28-14 lead by the 54th minute to force Narellan to play catch-up footy for the remainder of the game.

Tinetali Papali'i did reduce the margin with a try in the 68th minute but Matt McCauley all but sealed the win for Oakdale with a try four minutes from time.

Moses Aliifaalogo scored a consolation try for the Jets late in the game.

Narellan coach Daryn Fallshaw believes his team can improve if they cut out a few problems which led to Oakdale tries.

"I think Oakdale got us out wide and we will need to address that in the coming weeks," Fallshaw said.

"I thought it was a tough game between two good sides."

Fallshaw was left pondering on some of the officials' decisions during the game although he laid no blame.

"I think the better side won however some of the referee and touch judge decisions left me and a number of other people scratching their heads," Fallshaw said.

"I'm not blaming the ref, however it does make it extremely difficult."

Fallshaw said one of Oakdale's conversion attempts had clearly missed "by about five metres" yet the touch judges had a "flag up and down" and the referee declared it a goal.

"When Rocky [Trimarchi] questioned him about it he said that he knew that it missed however he had to follow the advice of his touch judges," Fallshaw said.

"The last try where the Oakdale player threw the ball off the ground and went a considerable distance forward, to such an extent our players stopped playing, was given a try and when Rocky questioned the touch judge he said that it was forward but it was not his job to determine on forward passes."

Oakdale coach Brendon Reeves said the Jets impressed him in what he described as the "toughest game" of the season for his team.

"They are big and they're quick and they give great offloads," he said. "Narellan will be definitely be there in the finals."

I think Narellan will be hard to beat, the forwards led by Rocky would have to be the biggest in the comp. Shannon gallant can seemingly break the line at will and never shuts up directing plays all game. They probably need 1 more top quality wide running forward and they would be unstoppable.

Fair call, I see them as a big threat but yes lacking out wide and with Alan gone now even more so.

10 of the Eagles squad have headed up to Wests Bundy which will strenghthen them up for the rest of the season, and a few of to All Saints SCC.

Word is the Eagles will be re-entering the Bundy Cup 2014 and the SCC, good to see the club still has a future :correct: :correct:
Ill put aside my hate for eagles and I will say we'll done  If this is the case then I have respect for the eagles administration for once, it has been obvious use are too strong of a team to be playing in g6 and as much as I have to swallow my words in saying this Good luck in Bundy :correct: and hopefully the Bundy team will attract more players from g6 come next year which I'm sure it will, it is such an elite level and I'm sure there are a handful of guys from oakdale, Narellan and mitta who will be up to Bundy level for next year

That is when the group decides to allow clearances ? My boy is still waiting to be cleared after having his application submitted on the 21/5. And he hasn't played at the Eagles since 2011

Hhmm....isnt Bundy run by CRL and NSWRL??? And SSC with wests input?? Maybe some more arse kissing is required if debts aren't cleared and bridges need repairing.

Have you spoken to Geoff Gerard about this? He is the Chairman of the competition. Although they have allowed some very weak teams to enter in recent years, Geoff has indicated that he still favours expanding team numbers.

MITTAGONG Lions will all look pretty in pink this weekend when they take on local rivals Moss Vale at home on Sunday.
It will be Mittagong’s second Women in league day where the players will all wear the club’s specially designed pink jerseys to celebrate the contributions of mothers, grandmothers and sisters of all the players.

Mittagong life member Bob Hall said these women made a fantastic contribution to the well being of the players and the club and also helped to make the game of rugby league great.

“The senior and junior leagues would not function without the outstanding daily and weekly contributions of our dedicated ladies who work tirelessly and give great support to our players, officials and club supporters in general,” he said.

“From the time our players start in junior league our women are really responsible for the functioning of our clubs, working to get players to games, training, then working in canteens, on committees and helping to run and fund our clubs.”

This year the Lions have been celebrating 100 years and Hall said they were glad to make recognising the contribution of women part of their celebrations.

Again their main fund will be the McGrath Foundation with every player contributing through the purchase of their pink jersey.

A number of supporters have also purchased the special pink jersey and Hall said they would be taking further orders on Sunday for anyone interested in purchasing a jersey.

The Lions will also be collecting for a second charity over the weekend which will be Weekend to end Women’s Cancer.

Hall said they could not have arranged the day without the support and help of their two suppliers Classic Sportswear and Sportspower Bowral.

“They have gone out of their way to help us in the past two years with the Women in League day.”

“Whether or not you support rugby league, this day is for our community and the Mittagong Lions will also be donating part of their profits on gate takings to our ladies charities.”

The Lions will also be selling tickets for their black tie 100 year dinner which will be held on Saturday,  July 13

It's not a good situation.
Has anyone thought of ringing group 6 and seeing if they can pay the individuals registration?
I don't think your boy Matty should have been held up, he is not a current debtor.
Also I can tell you why Ben Baker was cleared quick, when a transfer goes between group 6 clubs, the bill for that players rego is transferred directly to the new club, so basically Mittagong will take ownership of his rego and Campbelltown Eagles won't be billed for Ben's rego.
