glitznglamour you are 100 per cent right.

The group 6 leaders or presidents or what ever you want to call them are appauling. For two players to be involved in the same incident and only one is penalised with a 5 week suspension is an outrage. They claim they were there and heard everything, and saw everything, well if this was the case, The person who received nothing should of been given a lot longer than 5 weeks if you heard the filth from his mouth.

It is a joke and the competition is a joke. I am starting to wonder whether the eagles were really cheating or whether they were snubbed out because certain people have little grudges against things and people.

I am a genuine RL supporter and love watching the good games in group 6, but when i heard about this i could not believe my ears.

From what I heard baker carried on a treat once they left the field and it was infront of the group officials.

Your are correct, I spoke to Jarryd last night and he has to face the Judiciary next week.

We were told he would go this week which is why I "assumed" the outcome above was for him, but I did have ??? in my comment.

"when you heard about this" just about sums up your argument.

It wasn't about what was said but more about wanting to carry on the fighting whilst in the bin, leaving his dugout and approaching the Jets dugout - all within 2 foot of Gr 6 Prez!

it wouldn't of made a difference whether baker attacked everyone on the jets bench or didn't say a word you were always going to defend narellan.

I was in 10 meters from the incident and baker was stopped well before he got anywhere near the narellan bench. And if gallant didn't get personal with baker he wouldn't of got up and approched narellans bench.

I am not defending baker saying he should of got let off, thats not my point. My point is there were two people in this confrontation and both should be punished equally.

5 weeks for not even a punch thrown is an outrage. if both were given 5 weeks than we wouldn't have an issue.

To be honest I didn't even think much of the incident - 5 weeks is a lot for a bit of a slanging match between 2 competitive fullbacks but to say Gallant deserved 5 weeks just because Baker got 5 is a bit rich. And furthermore, because Gallant didn't get suspended that it is a prejudice against Baker due to his Eagles stint is also over the top, bordering on accusing officials of discrimination.

CRL Group 6 Round 12: 'Fortress' Fullwood Reserve, Claymore
Sunday June 23rd

1st Grade: Campbelltown City vs Mittagong Lions 2.30pm kickoff
Reserves: Campbelltown City vs Mittagong Lions 1pm kickoff
U-18s: Campbelltown City vs Mittagong Lions 11.30am kickoff

The Campbelltown City Kangaroos RLFC welcomes players, coaches, staff, committee and supporters of the Mittagong Lions RLFC for today’s CRL Group 6 Round 12 action at the Fortress.

1st Grade today should be a top clash. Our boys have recorded four wins on end to consolidate a Top 5 position, while Mittagong share the competition lead after a courageous come from behind victory against fellow competition heavyweights, Narellan Jets. Recent history is against the ‘Roos today, with the Lions downing the Roos in every clash since the second round of the 2010 season.

Reserve Grade likewise sees two of the top 5 teams battle it out. Our boys are a bit depleted to injury today and will be looking to turn the tables on a Lions team which outlasted them in the Round 1 fixture.

The U-18s are up against a very good Mittagong team today in the early fixture and will have to play at their best for the full game to challenge the Lions outfit.

Win, lose or draw, come join us at the Centre Court Tavern Campbelltown for the game day presentations from 5.30pm, with happy hour being 6pm- 7pm.

The Court Tavern has been the home of the ‘Roos since 1922, and under the watchful eye of Mein Host Freddy Holovinsky, is the best cold pour in town.

If you’re looking for a good feed during the week, pop down to Five-O’s, our 1st Grade sponsors- 192 Queen Street Campbelltown- a two minute stroll from the Courty. Five-O’s has a menu to suit all budgets and we welcome them to the Kangaroo family in season 2013.

Maybe you can confirm Mav, that with the jarrod issue rhe group are holding on to all the reports and are unwilling to give any of the statements about the incident he was involved in. And if so how can he be prepared to plead his case. Just seem like the group 6 officials are playing god with any sort of situation that occurs( which doesn't look at all good seeing that both jarrod and baker have had some thing to do with easts)

Jarryd is basically at the mercy of G6, he has been assured of a fair hearing and our only option left is to wait and see if this is so. We have tried other avenues, but this is what it comes down to. I have read the charge sheet and your are correct there are no reports available, but I do not know what else can be done. I don't want to say any more than that at this stage and antagonize any more people over the issue as I want to give him the best possible outcome :correct:

I do think though, a fair outcome should take into consideration the whole chain of events that brought it on and the time already sat on the sideline this year

Referees are getting a bit precious these days! Trimarchi sent off for blowing a kiss at a touchie and our centre sin binned for back chatting the other touchie.

Heard at the game that the Gr 6 Executive Officer almost got voted out after the Referees Association raised a motion. Can anyone elaborate please?

The refs are a bit precious, but maybe a call to referees boss might clear things up. If they are going to be like that, it might be an idea to find out, because they are clamping down on players and captains attitudes toward them.
It is pretty disrespectful and silly of your captain to blow a kiss at an official, doesn't warrant being sent off though.

Rule 4536 - subsection 21

Any player seen blowing kisses to a referee or sideline official must follow it up with an immediate marriage proposal or be sent from the field.

The send off wasn't for the kiss

Well done to Mittagong yesterday. Was a very tight game in the first half, with a Warwick Carter try right on half time really hurting our boys, in taking a 14-0 lead into the break.
Payne & Carter were enormous backing up from the rep game.
Mittagong's defence brilliant.
Mittagong are a big show of being the first club since City in 1975 of lifting all 3 Grades on GF day. The Lions are a very strong footy club at the moment and have rebuilt around local kids, especially considering they couldn't even qualify for the 2008 2nd Division Grand Final.

Good news for us is that Illawarra Divisional forward Manu Aso'ava is expected to clear suspension for the Camden game in Round 16. Manu will bring a lot of value to the Group.
