Tips for Sunday:

18Bs: Appin

18As: Mittagong

2nd Division: Robertson to lift their first grade title since 1982

Reserves: Oakdale

1sts: Picton
A lot of Mittagong players in their first GF, the nucleus of the Picton team highly experienced in big games, been together since 2005.
You've only got Mittagong winning one game, i'm glad it wasn't reserve grade.
I watched Camden's 18's smash Narellan at Oakdale in the 2 v 3 final, and if Mittagong finished above Camden, i'm eager to see what Mittagong has in 18's.
There's a lot of banter going on around the first grade game, I've heard there are a few big bets taking place too.
Hope the weather is kind to us.

Workers morals in reggies. Gallagher & co will bash the Mitta pack to oblivion, especially if its wet. We should be there vs you, but that's a story for another day.
Wet will slow Mitta down in 1sts...

From Picton Magpies RLFC Facebook page:

Player Profiles - 1st Grade Grand Final 2013
Michael Lett - Fullback - Has been a sensation at our club since joining mid year. All class. More popular than Michael Jackson at his peak, and probably a better dancer too.
Rory Vale – Wing - Has played most of the year at fullback and excelled. Super fast. He developed his speed chasing chickens in a back alley to prepare for his second bout with Apollo Creed in ‘Rocky II’.
Blake Matthews – Centre – Has played equal amounts back row and centre this year. Provides a great mix of footwork and power running. Ran for a season high 5.7 kms against Narellan last week.
Nick Taylor – Centre – Really, really, really ridiculously good looking. Can really play too. Getting better each week.
Ben Hierlehy – Wing – Had an outstanding season. Especially considering he plays every game carrying two watermelons under his arms.
Bryce Poisel – Five-Eighth – Back to his dynamic best. Poisy is looking for one more premiership before moving to L.A. next year to start his own Hollywood talent agency.
Tim Dengate – Halfback – The nugget has been sensational. Great running game and loves nothing more than dumping a big forward on their back. Refuses to drink beer through a straw.
Keil Shephard – Prop – Stepped up to front row earlier this year to cover shortages and has dominated. Never tires and his whole body is harder than Nate Myles’ chin.
Anthony Provost – Hooker – Can play and can kick. A real sharp shooter and clever dummy half. Great set of guns too.
Chris Young – Prop – Was voted in to the top 10 red heads of all time. Back to his best since he was injured earlier in the year. No better forward in the comp. Has a better arse than Serena Williams.
Alex Peters – 2nd Row – He’s a machine. Powered by goon. Stronger than all the rest, this tiny robot will pass the test, he will befriend us, he’ll defend us, the amazing Astro Boy!!
Brendan Shephard – 2nd Row – Has a body built by hard work and honed by music festivals. Loves singlets, VB, hit-ups, tackles and tackles.
Matt White – More deceiving than some superstar tv magician. Opposition forwards think he looks easy to dominate and are always shocked by the outcome. A gentlemen and a scholar.
Adam Marshall – Hooker/half/lock – Tank. More versatile than a box of Cadbury favourites. Sweeter too.
Kyal Kennedy – Wing/Centre – Creepy Jesus. Has the same carefree, rebellious appeal as a young Keanu Reeves in ‘Point Break’. Biding his time until the 50 year storm by playing great footy.
Brett Clark – Prop – Real big Unit. Goes real good.
Jay Dreves – Back row – International. Carried on from a successful tour with the Phillipines team to raise the bar of local rugby league. Respected by his peers for his responsible drinking practices.
Justin Cockinos – Wing – Fast. Once beat the cousin of Matt Shirvington’s sisters friend over 100m. Looks real good, works real hard and can cook too (I assume).
Eric Everett – Wing/Centre – Former rooster. So dedicated to his new club he had his ‘stitch em up’ tattoo removed with a cheese grater. Known as ‘Tripod’ because he’s into photography.
Chris Bowers – Prop – Tragically injured late in the year after being the cornerstone of the forward pack all year. Proud of you Bevo.
Gary Dowse - Coach - Fifth time as coach. Fifth trip to the grand final. That's some record.

The CCKRLFC congratulates all premiership winning clubs of 2013.
2014 will be the Year of the 'Roos!

The Mittagong club joins Picton 2000 and Camden 1976 & 1977 as losing all three grades on the same day.

4/5, all because I thought surely Mitta had to win one grade. Always the way with them multis, miss one leg!
Well done Workers reggies. Can someone explain the process how Danny Gallagher wasn't man of the match?

Not sure what you are alluding to TC, every club has imports, whether they have been there one year or 3 years, good players or great players, cheap or expensive. Some come of their own accord, others are chased.

The diversity and experience they bring to a club has a positive effect and going on this year's season they brought entertainment, excitement and a greater level of expertise. The more the merrier, within reason.

SPUDS WIN PREMIERSHIP
http://www.southernhighlandnews.com.au/story/1777682/spuds-win-premiership/?cs=264
Posted Image
FOR the first time since the 1980s Robertson Spuds lifted the second division premiership trophy.

It was a hard fought win against Warragamba Wombats as they edged them out 8-4 to claim the title.

The Spuds struggled in the first half and went into the break down 4-0. Zac Clewett opened their account in the second half.

Aaron de Jager then managed to strip the ball in a one on one tackle from Warragamba just metres from the line to crash over and add another four points.

Warragamba almost got away down the right hand side of the field before fullback Matthew Hammond came across to make a match saving tackle.

After falling just one step short last year in the decider against Macarthur Bulls, Spuds captain Doug Tilly said it was a long time coming for Robertson.

"It was absolutely awesome, I couldn't fault either team. It's been a long time coming and it's a great thing for the club and the town," he said.

In the other matches, Mittagong went down in under-18s, reserve grade and first grade.

Full match reports in Wednesday's News.
