The g6 team will be very hard to beat next year, with the addition of a couple of players that were injured at the time and new signings being mentioned will be a very solid outfit!
We'll have a few ex- NRL to add to this team also, all to be revealed over the coming weeks.
Aaron Gorrell eh? He has been on twitter.
I'm pretty sure I heard Gorrell's season ended with an ACL for the second year running. He's mid 30's now big ask to rehab from that 2 years running (if I heard right) and come back to play, so doubt Aaron will be in Group 6, maybe someone else? Love the suspense and appreciate that clubs can't confirm anything until its well and truly done and dusted, remember Bennett at the Roosters :correct:

It said you were considering retirement to concentrate on your modeling career. I think it made a reference to 'Blue Steel'.

HA! Joining Sandor Earl on the runway then...

There was an article on Jackson Garlick. Apparently Souths aren't keen on him beyond 20's and he's only got offers from a few A Grade outfits at the moment. He says 'one of them is Oakdale actually...'

How much should we read into that approach, if it happened of course?

I note that the Appin club is sending 3 representatives to the forum- fair to say Wonson Park will be seeing 1st Grade Rugby League next season, first time since 1996?

The Appin club have sent representatives to the forums every year, I believe 2 were there last year.
Their was plenty of talking about what can be, but they fell extremely short of ever getting there. Unless a lot has changed since last year, even with the gossip about thirlmere players and coach alike going to Appin, I'll be extremely surprised whether they can get the sponsorship needed to go to 1st grade etc. A running committee is needed, in which Appin have never had.
There has also been talk about debono from collies rallying to bring teams to Appin but only if certain persons are not there.
I hope for the club they can really put something together, but more than likely, will have to be satisfied with 2nd's and 18's for the moment and group 6 will just have to support that, unlike a couple of years ago when they pushed Appin to oblivion of non competition by forcing them out of 2nd's, saying they must move to 1st grade 2012, in which didn't happen.
Small clubs like Appin must be in the competition and if it means 2nd's for a while the group and other clubs should support that.

Points system has been simplified, more user friendly.
25 points for transfers on established first graders
10-15 points for transfers on players with <15 first grade game experience.

Was Picton's document discussed?
I think their dossier was pretty professional, needed some tweaking but all in all had the basis of a fairer system.
I don't like the idea of the Allstars game. Separating people into sides based on their race is not what we should be doing. Do the yanks play a game where the African Americans play the Anglo Saxons?

I think if it promotes rugby league in the area it's good we'll just have to see I think it potentially be a great opportunity to promote group 6 and would think a decent crowd will turn out,I wonder how they will select the teams without a ball being kicked in the 2014 season?
