Hot tip :- Peter Mehl to make a run at Group 6 executive chairmain at tonight's seniors AGM
You can't just turn up and run for Chairman lol... You have to be nominated.... He wasn't nominated.....
He will turn up somewhere! Watch ur backs
Does anyone think anymore about this? I know there wasn't many people who liked him but I myself never had any run in's with him. Could someone report on the AGM tonight, people will be told what really happened.
Said same bloke, who was on Narellan juniors executive, voted at 2006 or 2007 Group 6 Seniors AGM as a Mt Annan rep for Narellan Snrs NOT to be in the competition!!!!! WTF???? Said same bloke in 2007 rang the president of Narellan Snrs and threatened to run him over the next time he saw him on the road.... over a letter that mentioned his name is passing!!! Said same bloke went to Camden Council and almost got Narellan Sports Ground lease terminated, as he didn't like the fact that Narellan Snrs had the lease in their name!!!! Do you see a 2nd storey clubhouse there now?????
I find it very hard to believe any of this... I heard years back that the reason the 2nd Story is no longer on your club house is because it was built without Council approval and once they found out about it they informed your club that you needed to get a ramp installed if you wished to keep the 2nd story which was going to cost big $$$$... is this true Jetter????
I heard the same thing. The second storey was built with the proper permissions from the council and it would have cost a huge amount of money to comply so it had to come down. I don't care what people's personal issues with Peter are, Group 6 Juniors would not be the excellent comp that it is without the work that he has put in over the years, (this is also the case with Phil Carlyon). Before Peter stepped in our rep players didn't even have uniforms when they went off to play in the country championships and the clusters. Someone has to make the hard calls when clubs think they are bigger that the Group and decide to thumb their nose at the rules. Pete can be a bit of a bastard , and I'm sure he would be the first person to admit this, but he has worked his butt off for our Group. He's not standing for any position with the seniors. Get a grip, nominations can't come from the floor, he's got grand children now and he wants to spend more time with his family. Nothing sinister is going on! Sophie Vella is also stepping down after 15 odd years with Group 6, she will be sorely missed as well.
Peter has been good to our club junior and seniors and all has been appreciated..He will be missed and his hard work...he told me before I left the AGM if I need any help just call as he has done previous years...good luck Peter you will be missed.. So doggiesgirl, Peter didn't storm into the AGM and take over as someone on here said he would?

I'll only report 1 thing from the AGM, 2013 will see a pretty significant change to First Grade football with the introduction of a limited interchange. Each team will be allowed to sit 17 fresh players, and use them in a 12 interchange system. How will that be managed ? Will the bench use cards like they do in the nrl ? An extra official would have to be supplied either by the group or referees to police this I'd imagine.

Yeah that's right Disco. The referees are to supply an extra official. It will cost the club on gameday an extra $35. It will be a card system from what i believe.

Also heard that coaches and players will flock to g6 clubs rather than play iccc. Lot of the collies boys heading to Narellan next year. Coaches heading to Appin" - this from Wests Comp stream....
Any mention or discussion at the AGM of Wests clubs wanting to join Gr 6?
Jets are toying with having a 3rd Grade team next year so extra players will help in that regard!

I was there at the AGM!!! I got the phone call!!!! I even fronted him about voting against his 'own' club and his words were 'there was never a chance of Narellan being kicked out...' when Dayball had to take a second count to ensure we did get over the line. There were other clubs that voted aginst Narellan that night too (I have a good memory lol)
Hey "Jetter" tell the full story not half. It all started when U got a letter from council say that certain things that needed fixing before they would pass it. Your fat PAL was the one that went to council and complained about the club house. U did nothing about the letter like u did nothing to the ground for over 10 years. I understand that it was not Mehl that went to the council but someone else. This person was the one that got everything fixed and got the final approval from council. When the club house got built to was not fire rated and it was going to cost to much to make it so. I am also informed that council were talking about giving the ground to someone else. I heard that the juniors went to council last year to try and get control of the ground from the ground committee so they could have full control. That would mean that U would not be able to use it. I know that fiction is good reading but the facts tell the true story. When I read your bit about Peter Mehl to make a run at Group 6 executive chairmain at tonight's seniors AGM I made some enquiries and the result is that you again have no idea of the truth and talk do-do. I agree with the others you need to be nominated and he has not. So dream on and remember facts facts. I know the old saying "don't let the truth get in the way of a good story.
You heard, you read...well the fact is donga I was there when this all happened. Unless you are Peter Mehl you wouldn't know half of it, and if you are Peter Mehl yet again your memory is clouded. I never said he was running for Gr 6 Executive. Maybe you should learn to read properly before pointing the finger at me. You make some big accusations that I did 'nothing', but I guess helping putting up the changerooms and putting up the fencing was nothing - all them buildings and storeroom got there by fairies, the containers that were original changerooms fell off a ship, and you lent a hand laying bricks and moving dirt?? I stand by my original statement re AGM, threat and trying to move seniors off Narellan Sports ground. Maybe I should have used the word implicit!!! Well "Jetter" I'm not Peter Mehl but I was part of the business with the ground that's why I know things.
I know who you are and that just confirms that what you say do-do.
What happened to Mehl taking over the seniors last knight ?

I wasnt at the AGM and never raised the issue of PM going on executive.....good luck if does want to, and he may well even do a good job, but dont include me in that argument. I could say a lot of things about the likes of PM and his co-hort (you??) but i will refrain..... not worth my time and effort

Don't these clubs regret not supporting the other 3 clubs that left for Group 6 two years ago, but no they listen to the Wests Juniors and look where they are, I don't feel sorry for them, I feel sorry for thier players, it's thier poor players that has lost out.

They seem to be so busy fighting amongst themselves that they don't have time to work out that they have more power when they are united.
I don't have much sympathy for them either - they've made their bed, which has been unfortunate for their players.
Mind you, the behaviour of some of those clubs, their players and supporters left a pretty nasty taste in people's mouths during the period of the joint comp. There were lots of incidents at grounds where the clubs tried to wrought the entry fees - threatening the gate guys; making demands; stating "we were told we didn't have to pay!"; handing passes through the fence so that they could be used over and over again.
I don't think many people miss those days.

Can someone explain to me why my last posting was deleted? It wasn’t defamatory in anyway what so ever but someone doesn’t like the facts put on the forum regarding my relationship with Narellan Jets and the CURRENT successful committee.
Can some tell me if this is defamatory?
Please Country Boy or should I say S.H, I’m not going to bother explaining who I am and I'm not going to get into a key board argument. I can tell you this, my family has been a huge part of the Narellan club for a lot longer than your involvement, We have seen the club through the highs and lows, and I only commented on what I had seen in the past few years, Juniors and Seniors has had an amazing transformation this year and I see it from the work with the current club members, don’t take this personal please, we have increased sponsorship and yes Daryn Falshaw has a lot to do with it, our Juniors have also moved forward in organization and you should be happy for how the club is being run, isn’t that what all ex members should be happy to see is that when you step aside the legacy continues to move forward.
Its not hard to work out, the only Moderator on at the moment is Black and White, and no I dont find it offensive, Congratulations to Narellen they look like they have done very well this year considering the dramas pre season. Wrong! again
You have no idea My son played for the Jets b 4 urs but u think u own the club

This forum wasnt bad about 18 months ago but it is absolute do-do lately with all the whinging etc going. Sticking to footy news would be good.
I heard from the AGM last night that Mt Annan and Bowral wont have any sides this year. Bulls will only have one side, I am guessing in 2nd Div. Eagles want to nominate 5. Appin to put all 3 grades in with Whiteman (coach) on board as was mentioned on this forum by a few of you ealier

I did speak with a former president of Bowral today after hearing the same as Rustynail and he has informed me they have an 18s for next season the 18s will not affect any local clubs as these kids are returning as they are forced to play Union for the private schools which is the biggest killer of Bowral RLFC and jnrs. It looks like a new committee will be formed next Monday to keep the club going.
I really hope this is the case!!!

Yes Chev's weekend rugby union has a big impact on league in the Southern Highlands. It even effects clubs as far north as Picton at times.

There were lots of incidents at grounds where the clubs tried to wrought the entry fees - threatening the gate guys; making demands; stating "we were told we didn't have to pay!"; handing passes through the fence so that they could be used over and over again.
I don't think many people miss those days. Ingleburn RSL were a disgrace in that regard.

Appin to put all 3 grades in with Whiteman (coach) on board as was mentioned on this forum by a few of you ealier Appin have not announced who their coach is and wont untill contract signed

Wrong! again
You have no idea My son played for the Jets b 4 urs but u think u own the club I dont think anyone owns the Jets !!!
Please explain Country Boy
