The English import Brad Hopkins is that same player that played 2nd Divison over there . The same player that played at the Eagles a few years ago .
well 520 a win or 200 per loss, he must be a descent player surely??? i mean he played in england for christ sake ??? BIGGEST PLAYER SIGNING IN GROUP 6 HISTORY 100% You're well short of the mark, we had to take out an investment loan to secure him, hazo even put up the collateral. It's only a one season deal too, at the end of the year hes locked in to fight sbw before flying off for Japanese rugby

Johnny Greaves at Campbelltown City
Herb Narvo at Camden
Both Australian Internationals and would have fair dibs to that title, especially as Narvo is listed in the game's greatest ever 100 players

This is a fair discussion but over the Christmas period- who is the best player that you have seen play in Group 6? My memory goes back to the early 80s. Martin Quinn, player 1992 and 1993 captain- coach of The Oaks, front rower from Canterbury, was very good. Stan Presdee for Appin in 1994 (had just been cut from the Magpies so was a long way in front physically from the rest of the comp) had funnel webs all over him that year. Willie Newton was another who should have played a lot of grade footy.

Good idea to start a new thread on this discussion, " best signings & imports in group 6".
Thoughts ?

Is it true Rusty, that Moss Vale are talking to Hindmarsh? I have been talking to some mates and they say that word from Moss Vale is that they are close to getting him! With Appin and Mossy getting some good signings, they may be up there with the big guns like Easts, Oakdale and Thirlmere. 2013 will be a great season and I'm really looking forward to being apart of it. Bring it ON!
you have the worst tag on this forum, you are the only person on this forum I will bag due to your rubbish posts. Just play for a club, surely your a group 6 rep plus a premiership ring holder, you can call on somebody or tell somebody your interested in playing and they'll grab you haha
I aint to sure what your deal is champ! But I don't just call Clubs and hope they pick me up! I want to make sure the club i go to are a club who are going to have a good bunch of blokes i can enjoy my football with, so i ask clubs what it's like and i go look. If i aint comfortable there, ill go look somewhere else. And Whether im a group 6 rep and premiership winner, it doesn't mean much to clubs, as long as you are good enough to fit into there squad. Group 6 is prob the worse for players who are money hungry, maybe like yourself. So go away with your Rubbish and hopefully i will see you on the field in 2013.
Why dont you go back to your jnr club, If your a prem winner and Group 6 rep as you let be known, you would add to the club and with that you should go back and your great record would attract other players to the club. My advise go and get Mount Annan going in 2nd division and take some of your mates Give a bit back to the club where you started I have tried for years now to go back to Mount Annan with mates and the club can never ever promise anything. It would be great to go back to the Knights and get a strong team to play in 2nd division. I was in contact throughout this year speaking to their committee and they just never returned my calls or emails.
If I could get a well known coach, and some of the players who were willing to sign, I think Mount Annan would be a club that would do well in years to come.
So if anyone is keen to help out, don't be afraid to ask me, and together we can work out something to get the Knights up and running.

Mt Annan the sleeping giants zzzzzzzzzzz Sound the same as Aussie soccer, if only they could do this. You're right T6 I don't know why they at least have a really strong 2nd Div team there

As far as most influential players I've seen, would have to be Andrew Willis for Camden late 90s. Very dominant in a good team. Damien Kennedy and Travis baker just after, also outstanding players

hazo put up collateral haha please im about to cry now. its amazing how tc you re supposebly the bossman at oakdale yet you no so little about your sneaky so called insiders who spread the gossip.
IF NOT THE BIGGEST SIGNING FOR GROUP 6 THEN DEFINETELY FOR OAKDALE

But I will say this: Anyone that does not say Willie Newton is the best player in our group in the past two decades is either lying to themselves or has rocks in their head. I could easily be biased and say Gary Dowse, Simon Cox or Justin Brooker it I wanted to be biased towards Picton. But, as great as they were, they're not even close to Willie. Number 2 - Travis Baker. Harder than Uluru and very skillful. Number 3 - Andrew Willis. Genius.

If this is true I might as well come play group 6 if use are giving everyone a go?

I'm not to good with the group 6 as I played in the iccc last year but am sick of traveling so I'm thinking of joining narellan as they are the closest home ground to me. I still cannot believe brad is playing on the money you said, what a waste of money for someone who is a 2nd division player. Geez geez geez help is needed over at oakdale

Im no detective but its not hard to join the dots. You being involved with the club says a lot about the club itself I've seen a lot of good football from easts last couple of years but wat I've been reading on here is disappointing this used to be a good tool for talking about and promoting g6

The English import Brad Hopkins is that same player that played 2nd Divison over there . The same player that played at the Eagles a few years ago .
well 520 a win or 200 per loss, he must be a descent player surely??? i mean he played in england for christ sake ??? BIGGEST PLAYER SIGNING IN GROUP 6 HISTORY 100%
You're well short of the mark, we had to take out an investment loan to secure him, hazo even put up the collateral. It's only a one season deal too, at the end of the year hes locked in to fight sbw before flying off for Japanese rugby
tc im well on the mark and you no it, he made it clear the money he is earning and ive gotta say well worth it to, i mean after all he is a dnc cup premiership winner for campbelltown collegians and he even played reserve grade at eagles most the time he was there i hear as well and not to mention the 4th division in england i mean cmon he has a resume better then most group 6 players. hazo put up collateral haha please im about to cry now. its amazing how tc you re supposebly the bossman at oakdale yet you no so little about your sneaky so called insiders who spread the gossip. IF NOT THE BIGGEST SIGNING FOR GROUP 6 THEN DEFINETELY FOR OAKDALE
Haha this is funny is this the brad guy with the long blonde rockstar hair I remember him he played with me at collies when we won the cup for a year there's no way he is playing 1st grade at the oaks he played bench most the season for us haha this is a joke surely? If this is true I might as well come play group 6 if use are giving everyone a go?
mate this is no joke 100% truth he is easily the highest paid player in group 6 on that amount like i said previously shannon gallant isnt getting as much as him. its oakdale not the oaks by the way mate the oaks wouldnt be stupid enough to sign him, yeh well thats one way to put it if oakdale are signing dud players everyman and his dog would go there and play but since they have signed brad and hazo alot of players have left with no new signings either... its such a shame to see a premiership team in 2011 turn into such demolition if you were interested in signing to a club in group 6 akeldma who are a chance of winning try narellan, camden, or thirlmere. my tip for premiers 2013 a rams
Minestrone you are an absolute clown with no credibility you and you fly by posters pop up every few months with a new name but the same agenda.you talk about every club on here bar east ctown and seem to have a personal problem with people formerly involved with easts. Im no detective but its not hard to join the dots. You being involved with the club says a lot about the club itself I've seen a lot of good football from easts last couple of years but wat I've been reading on here is disappointing this used to be a good tool for talking about and promoting g6 well obviously this is brad for christ sake couldnt of picked it any easier haha... of course im an east campbelltown man im in love with them for crying out loud how did you no ... omg you have let everyone no who i am bradley hollywood hopkins,, for heavens sake bradley,, the best part is as much as i hate eagles i hate you more... thankyou.. oh and if it comes down to it ill beat you in a game of keyboard hero
