Ben Baker has told the world that he is going to be a Campbelltown Eagle in 2013. So BD, you said bringing Shannon Gallant to the club whilst having Will Dreves wouldn't be the best thing for the club/team, you then sign Baker. What's the difference here? Ben has come to our club by chance and timing, he wanted to play Fullback and at the moment Dreves is trialling for Mounties and only notified us last week of possibly signing with them.

You're a popular man tonight BD! I saw the last name Bosc by the way on that scoresheet which featured Micky Stevens on it. Michael wouldn't happen to be playing alongside French international Thomas Bosc?

lets hope moss vale will give the others teams a heads up that hindy is playing. it would be a great chance for all teams to promote the hell out of the games and get a huge crowd at all group 6 grounds not just a community oval.
Hindmarsh will play only a handful of games in the season so Mossy aren't going to let other clubs benefit from their big drawcard. He will play at Community Oval so that Mossy get the gate. And I predict he won't play against Eagles or Thirlmere either. Heres hoping he does get out and about to other grounds though.
Mossy will be hoping Hindy will be playing as many games as possible regardless of who and where. So I dont why you are spinning that tripe. He has already asked for the draw so he can liaise with his employers to organise his schedule. So he is obviously keen to maximise his committment to the Dragons and good on him. As Mr T6 says games against Mitta will be huge as it will against any club this year with the Dragons re-entering 1st grade after a year out
No offence Rusty but if Hindy can't commit to every game you would want him to play the majority of games at home rather than away, just commercial commonsense eh?
Of course from a clubs "commercial" perspective I agree. But as all clubs are, we want to give the comp a good crack and we will need him available for majority of games for the Dragons to have a realistic chance of making a big impact on the comp. Not only that the club is looking long term in developing alot of the good juniors we have so that we are competitive for years to come. So for them to learn we need players like Hindy and Geddes around more often than not to teach them
Rusty i heard big Esky is back training with the Dragons looks pretty fit too.
Yep Esky has been training with the Dragons. Dont think the travel to Jamberoo agreed with him. With a bit of luck the Dragons will have Mark Delamont back with possibly another Front rower to add to the signings in the next week or so, plus Shane Martin if things work wise fall into place for Marto. Add to that two Junior Dragons that are with West Tigers, Rhys McLaren and Brad Larter and things are building nicely down Vegas way. We would love to get one of our other juniors back to Mossy, being Matty Thorpe. Mossys coach is pretty keen to get hold of him and he would be a massive boost to the Dragons where he played all his junior footy until 18's when he went over the hill to Mitta. Also spotted at training was Chicka, Robert Wiya. After suffering a terrible shoulder injury in 2010 the Group 6 rep centre is a welcome addition back to the Dragons as well.
Was Brad a Mossy junior? I thought he played his juniors at Mitta? He and Rhys are great young men and quality players. Brad played juniors at Mossy up until 14's or 15's I am pretty sure before he went to mitta. Not that this has anything to do with it but his father played years at Mossy as well.

So if Shannon Gallant is playing, he would have to be fullback, where does this put Crock, Gav and Benny Baker? If i was Fatty, i would play Crock at Hooker. I think he would play that position so well. That's if Milat, Sparra or Nugget aint got the 9 jeresy.
Has Narellan seriously signed Gallant as their fullback??? Ben Baker now plays where????
I've got to agree footygirl, don't get me wrong, Shannon Gallant is brilliant but so has Ben Baker been for Narellan, and when he was put in the centers last year for Narellan he was wasted big time. I think when you have a talent like Baker in your club you keep him where he is, and if you buy players to come in, buy players that you need for positions to be filled, it would be like us having Sam Hoare and then buying Stuart Flanagan, wouldn't make sence!
If a player comes along with NRL experience you grab him. Gallant will bring a wealth of ideas and experience to the Jets and Im sure all other clubs would have him too! If Gallant was signed by Eagles would you play Dreves in Reserves or find a different position for him, or say to him he is welcome to sign with another club? No one has said where Baker will play and word is he has jumped ship and agreed to play over at Eagles anyway!!!! Care to comment on that BD?
Galant had come to us and I had passed him onto City, Orana could back that up, trust me, I love Gallant as a player but to bring him in over Will Dreves wouldn't be a smart move for the club.
WOW, thats a lie!!!! why would i come to a club that had won everything the prior season?? i dont chase trophies mate!! a few boys were telling bout this forum so had to get on and set a few people straight, I never wanted to go to easts cause i wanted to play for a GROUP 6 TEAM, not a BUNDY TEAM playing group 6!! any questions feel free to ask Mighty Mouse

But you bring in Baker over Chris Standing and Paul Roberts, and possibly Dreves if he returns???? A bit hypocritical if you say you like to develop your players and juniors, reward them for performance and loyalty!!!!

Baker is a good player but cmon your comparing him to someone that has played in the top competition in this country.I think him leaving shows he wasn't that confident of out performing Shannon to get the number 1 jersey.well easts negotiating tactics have been revealed - Surley with the quality reserve grade and juniors they ddnt need to buy another fullback after dreeves left. Must b low in that department doesn't say much for the would be fullbacks at easts. Weren't you bagging these 'mercenaries' a while back bd? This is bakers 4-5th club now?

It's easy, Dreves signing with Mounties for a shot at Premier League/Bundy, and Ben has come to us on standard payments, with just the ambitions of playing fullback, if he was asking for big dollars, we wouldn't be here talking about this on the forum, no mercenary playing for standard, anyone is welcome with that attitude!

Former player of the year , country rep on standard payments??? Somehow I find that hard to believe. But then again it wouldn't be the first lie you've told on here lol. Is the 'standard payments' angle how your spinning it too the other potential fullbacks jetter mentioned?

Guys, everyone has to deal with Shannon signing with Narellan and Benny signing with Eagles. They are both great players and will do well for both clubs. Let's just move on and wait til the Jets play the Eagles. As we all know both games will be crackers.
