I'm going to throw myself out there. I'm looking for a club in 2013. Whilst i have been talking to clubs, i'm still going to ask. I am a Utility player, yes, with a bit of weight on me, But i'm sure that i haven't lost anything i once had. If you are looking for a player who can fill many positions, just let me know. Cause i'm your man! haha

Hahaha nah i ain't the wests ceo mate. And i'm only trying to help the wests district, and as for clubs, mate, i haven't played for 2 years because of injuries. So my rep and premiership credentials have no meaning to clubs, nor to me, i am proud of what i have done whilst playing, but now i just wanna get back into training for a club and prepare for a good season in group 6.

It's not quite the 2010 team which won the premiership but the dragons squad is shaping up quite well. Good to see some experience returning to the club also. If only we could convince a few more to come back.
i will be at every game hindy plays thats 4 sure. this is so good 4 the group well done mossy

I'll be there as well!

Maybe we'll have to camp over night to get a car park space?

Mossy could put on a brekky as well.

Any word on Bargos application for Jnrs?
The Group 6 junior's general meeting voted against Bargo's affiliation the end of last season. Bargo have since appealed to the CRL - awaiting the outcome of that.

The issue with a Bargo junior's is that they would be carving into the boundaries of Mittagong, Thirlmere & Picton juniors - into an area with no future population growth planned in the foreseeable future. They have no sustainability and that is the most important factor - will a new club be sustainable, without hurting already established clubs.

Their proposal at present, has no ground to play at and they need to have a separate junior & senior committee.

The sad thing is that some of the driving force behind a "Bargo Juniors" are a handful of people with an axe to grind against other clubs like Picton & Thirlmere.

If there was to be a new junior club in the Wollondilly area in the next few years, then Wilton would be the place it should go, as that is where the growth is going to be.

Group 6 Juniors has done a very extensive study into their areas and boundaries last year in response to the massive proposed growth into specific areas of its boundaries.

Earmarked growth areas over the next 10 - 15 years are in the north - Oran Park, Gregory Hills, Harrington Grove, Spring Hill (eventually Cawdor - which would possibly lead to a South Camden club.) In the Wollondilly area, there will be massive growth at Wilton, some growth at Appin (which will boost Appin junior's) and growth in some parts of Picton.

While people may scoff at the concept of residential boundaries, these by-laws have kept Group 6 junior's a strong & viable competition, - and this has flowed on to the Group 6 senior comp as well.

If you establish a junior committee, believe and can show that a junior club is SUSTAINABLE, then apply to the Group 6 general committee for affiliation.

The General committee is the affiliated junior clubs and the referee's association - they are the ones who make the decisions. Each club & the referees have two delegates (therefore 2 votes each). Group management at present has 6 votes. Your implication is null and void - the clubs make the decisions (as it should be).

Everybody now should know that Baker has turned his back on his mates to go for Premership glory at the Eagles. Good luck to him but stop this do-do about a challenge. Where is the challenge to join a premiership winning team. Isn't there more of a challenge to stay and win one with a struggling Club. Word is he was not happy to hane Gallant at the Jets. He would no longer be the boy wonder

I dont think this is the place to be putting your grievances , who is to say that there isnt a challenge at easts, what i have seen its easier to get to the top, its harder to actually stay there. Its been over 15 years since a team has gone back to back premierships .
