Last time I played in Wests comp for ESA in 18's I can remember playing at Waminda but not against Eagles, if it was they were pretty ordinary in '95 as we put about 50 on them. Can't ever having a rivalry against them, mainly Minto at Townson was always full on. |

A lot of wests rivalries being discussed. I think Valley v Claymore mid 90's Picton and Thirlmere is pretty good |

fully agree.... we need the rivalry between clubs. What the eagles done last year will prob never be done again. Going through I think they may have lost only one game all year and win the grandfinal will never be done again and getting awarded the claytons cup is unbelievable. But credit to their club and players for doing so. But I know our club is working hard to be with the likes of the Eagles, Oakdale and the Jets to be up there and about to challenge for a premiership. Maybe not this year but in the next couple of years that is our goal. |

When I was young, we had the best rivalry against Airds Colts, LMAO, Leumeah Wolves was a rivalry for years until they folded in 95, but looking at it now, I would have to say our main on field rivalry would be Oakdale, just with the number of clashes that have been so tough againet the two teams, We hate Mittagong at Mittagong and Moss Vale at Moss Vale, always very hard games down there, and when we first joined Group 6, it had to be Narellan. I can see a Rivalry between us and City forming, they would really love to give us a touch up! |

I can tell you the Picton v Thirlmere rivalry has been massive for as long as I've been around. Longer even. Every game I played in had extra feeling, regardless of grade or position on the ladder. It starts when you're in minis and you feed off your dads animosity towards them. Then it really takes off when half of each team starts to go to high school together at Picton high. You're mates all year except for those 2 Saturdays you meet on field. It goes back to all those years that Thirlmere were the whipping boys. I saw them beat us in 1st grade for the first time ever in 95. Old men in maroon and yellow crying because they never thought they'd see the day they got up. I don't think there's as much hatred as there used to be, but if anything the rivalry has grown because of the all the big Grand finals and major semis we've contested in recent years. |

My best memory of playing against Picton was getting beaten 30-0 while playing for Narellan all because I made 14 tackles that game when I was a fullback haha. |

Moody think the topics more senior rivalry not 12/bs Macquarie Fields v Ingleburn Bulldogs @ Milton Park always drew big crowds and alot of spite with players chopping nad changing between the two clubs in the 90s to mid 2000s. Best wests A grade clashes would have been Warriors v Liverpool City early 90s some great clashes back when wests comp was credable. |

Being a Mossy boy, Mossy and Mitta was the big one. We hate those Lions and we couldnt wait to get on the field against them. The late 80's and early 90's were brutal. The last few years it is nearly there but not as physical. Its good when both sides are travelling well. Massive crowds going nuts, players doing whatever it takes. Looking forward to those battles again this year |

Good topic. A bit of a rivalry with easts 2010-12, way too good for us and the comp but in 2012. We've developed a good rivalry with Oakdale too, been some classic games in this period. Pre- leaving Group in 1983- City were the Manly of the comp, so it was rivalry round every week, but a lot of hatred between City v Collies, Warriors & Camden. Old City blokes at the Leagues Club were filthy even in the 90s when my brothers played for the Rams! Rivalries in Wests- Warriors vs Poola great tribal suburban contests in period 1984-91 when Warriors went to Appin. Even after that, Claymore vs Collegians in 96-97 humdingers. One colossal crowd all-in at Worrell Park in 96 when Collies beat Claymore on the bell, Collies winger got hammered by crowd for scoring the winning try. Claymore had just got Fortress Fullwood and one game up there I think in 97 was all-time, big Manu running security up there. |

Dengate is a quality young player, played at collies under Paul Jarvis and was a dominate half of the group 6 18's comp, which was proven with the runaway comp the collies won. He has spent some time out at Penrith U20's with some quality trainers and players around him, just never seem to be able to dominate/ cement a permanent posy in the side out there. Size has always been the question about him for the top grade, but I think he will surprise a lot people. A very capable ball player.
