What a crock of dodo , how can moss vale sign the hindmarsh boys narellan sign gallant???? Easts lost Dreeves sign Baker how does that make them stronger???? Group 6 are now telling clubs who can play for them??? That's dictatorship just like the people they split from Wests juniors, bit of hypocratics at play by Group 6 management. What a disgrace!!! |

Spot on mate. Your club fits under the points it's a none issue. Let's say Hindmarsh to Moss Vale attracts a strong playing squad, does Group 6 step in and say sorry Moss Vale your to strong now you will beat The Oaks by 50?? It's 1st grade bush Footy the strongest survive it's not under 6s where no one wins and play for fun, there is no share the glory it's best of the best within the point system. Hopefully just a rumor this could blow Group 6 up. |

The hindmarsh boys are deemed 2 point players as they played equally throughout their jnr careers with moss vale & Robertson, same with rocky trimarchi with narellan who is a jets jnr. |

That's the point it's within the Groups point system so no different to Easts signing who they please as long as they stay within the points allocated. |

I think it is a new ruleing group6 introduced last seaon. If you have a club wiin a grand final, to stop them from dominateing the comp makeing them stronger. they are not to approach players from other group 6 clubs which could weaken other clubs and encourage clubs to develop their own juniors. Im not 100% sure as Appin was not there last year but its to stop teams like Easts who dominate 1st grade fleecing other group 6 clubs and to encourage them to develop their own juniors and clubs like Appin 2010 and 2011 dominateing 2nd div were not able to contnue in that 2nd grade with the same playing roster ..... But that does not mean Ben cant play for another first grade club .... Hindy is from another comp NRL and is returning to his former club.. When you think about it the group are listening to all clubs when they complain about playing rosters and clubs dominateing comps by poaching players from other group 6 clubs and makeing it fair for all clubs. I suppose we should be careful what we wish for...no matter what changes we fight for good or bad for your club it will eventually affect all clubs in some way. These things are voted for by your club representatives at group 6 meetings.... |

Mate, as was said this was voted on at the group 6 forum by all clubs present , so nothing to do with OAkdale and their win in 2011 as this was done in 2012 end of year. The ruling which was voted all in favour for was that a 1st grade winning team could not buy in players for a 2 year period, as to develop their juniors . I believe the ruling was runners up were to have a 1 year exclusion. Correct me if I am wrong TC or Bd as both of you we're there, that a player may transfer outside of these rules if both clubs agree in terms of transfers/swaps etc and excepted by group 6. Wether or not you agree/disagree, doesn't matter because all the clubs reps voted in favour so this will stand. Every club will have to abide, unfortunate for easts and thirlmere to be first, but this was what was voted In. Cheers |

News from the 'Roos camp: Signings- an ex- Penrith reserve grade front rower, a centre and second rower from Queanbeyan Blues, an experienced Bundy Cup/ NSW Cup halfback and chance that two players from the 2011 team will be rejoining us in key positions. Boys are training extremely hard at the Fortress and are looking forward to the visit to training by NSW Origin Assistant and Country Origin Coach Trent Barrett and NSW Origin conditioner and legend, Ronnie 'Cougar' Palmer, who are locked in to put the boys through their paces on Tuesday February 26th. Adam Doyle has linked back up with the club and will be assuming the reins of the U/18 team. |

On a brighter note A huge congratulations to Graeme Martin and his massive effort today. Marto completed the torturous 21km journey, 350metre altitude climb in 34degree heat. Suffering from cramp he strided across the line just before 6.30pm. It's an inspirational effort from the G-TRAIN who did the run in support of a mate who had an unfortunate fall from a balcony in Cronulla in early January. Majority of the playing group put their hand in their pocket to raise approximately $2000, while supporters have also donated several funds. A big thank you to Dasher and ROOSTERS TRAFFIC CONTROL for his very generous $500 pledge. Rugby League is a great community and Oakdale a very tight and family oriented one in that, and its great to see someone do something to help a mate out when in need |
