Im good friends with Ben Barba Baker but stone the crows, if he was going to keep the fullback spot and Gallant will end up on the wing, he would of stayed at the Jetters. Tom Moon front rower, good call NOT, what I seen from Mitta's front rower, best in the comp. |

I think the Group has got this one wrong, all my years in the Group I have never seen fines so over the top, This was building for the game fo the year and they couldnt handle it another way? I have a guy from east at my work, he said the players in question are no doubt locals, so where does the group go from here? knowing what ive seen from Group 6 in the past, they can never admit they are wrong, going to need a lot of suger coating this one. People and clubs are not happy with the way the points have been handled and if the Eagles can prove they are right, this may mean the end of the Group 6 management The worst thing is, and please people comment if you agree, all this has taken the focus of the competition, no one is talking who is playing who this week, its all about whats happening to the Eagles. Give your self a pat on the back Group 6, send the competition backwards.

Seems some people cant read or cant help themselves. The mods will open this issue up for debate once both sides of the story are presented from official sources. Edited by disco stu, Apr 11 2013, 07:49 AM.

I dont think Corby and hoare are both needed. Play one for 80 and save some interchanges. Especially when only taking two front rowers into a game. moon although good, isn't the biggest man around. He will get some traffic coming at him. |

I think you are all forgetting that this is just an opinion, this isn't the group side. Youngy is great, but limited interchange, and he looked very short on match fitness. And have u seen Tom Moon lately? I wouldn't say he is small Stop trolling everything that gets written. I love how everyone hides behind their monikers Edited by tc6_11, Apr 11 2013, 09:46 AM.

My reasoning behind that side is the fact that a lot of players probably won't make themselves available. Tom moon is an 80 minute player. As for Thorpe I have not played against him this year so I can't say. But like Tc said that's my opinion I don't expect everyone to agree. Name your sides?!? Also I missed sam conlon |

In regards to the points system - the following is my understanding on the process of points allocations this year. Clubs register a player through the group. The Group then allocates player points based on a restrictive database that only dates back to 2007. If a club disputes the allocated points for a player the responsibility then falls on a volunteer from the respective club to get in contact with a volunteer from their junior group or volunteers from their junior club to search through all prior records in order to supply supporting documentation to prove the said player is their junior or whatever the player history may be. This year clubs received the official player points allocation for all clubs from the group via email on Thursday 21st March 2013 at 7.33pm. For some clubs, their first round game was on Saturday the 23rd of March, the remainder on the 24th. Can this really be viewed as a sufficient amount of time, bearing in mind the present requirements, to dispute the player points allocated? It is understandable that it takes time to provide clubs with a document containing player points, particularly when registrations are an ongoing occurrence. However, should it not be a two way street of patience and understanding, particularly when the records that the group solely rely on only date back to 2007? Just some food for thought... |

Group 7 native here, but I'm a footy fan and there's always a few blokes who switch between the groups each year so I've been looking here a bit. Anyway, our comp kicks off this weekend, the program for which can be seen here http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page.cgi?client=0-2188-0-0-0&sID=20141&&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=18786760 Just wondering if Group 6 has a similar program that goes up each week? |

It's actually put together by a bloke who works for a one of the local papers down here, the clubs send in their teams on the tuesday night and it's put together by Wednesday morning. Him and a few blokes, my self included, do the articles on each week's games voluntarily (we do get a press pass out of it to get in to all games for free). |

What are the levy fees in group 7 now ? The used to be much higher than group 6 because it covered the costs for these programmes, travel for referees etc. |

I couldn't tell you, I know the clubs contribute to a pool to help refs with the travel. For the program it might be somwhere in the vicinity of $2000 per year per club, but it depends on how many teams you have. A club with 1sts, reggies and u18s pays more than a clu with only one or two teams and the group staggers the payment over the year as to not lump clubs with a huge cost at the start of the year. |

I did report but they weren't warned or banned it was just left as a laughing stock, and don't try covering it up do your job and monitor correctly, tc was being argumentative and using offensive words last night to several people and he's suppose to be a mod, If you ask me that's breaking the rules???? All I'm saying is it's unfair towards eagles because there getting dragged through the mud by silly untrue rumours by people that don't no the full story. Let's see how long this takes to get deleted??? |
