The Wests EO gets bagged alot but reading on here of late your EO is gaining on her.

AGM coming up maybe he will be voted out? Could it be time for new blood on the Group board? Are they getting stale?
He can't be voted out.... he is on a 3 year contract......

That's not the case.
Mittagong just asked a couple of financial questions, no one blew up.
When the position was put to the clubs, the idea that was floated to us was that the position be self funded (sponsors) within the 3 years.
Hence the questions about finances.
The facts came forth that current sponsorship was in fact lower than what was already in place when our EO took over.
Clubs just asked for a few KPI's to be set, and if they aren't met, then the position or the employee may need to be reviewed.
I believe the deadline was Round 1 of the comp.

Let me get this right, the current EO of Group 6 had an amount of sponsorship that he had to raise in his duties, what was the amount of sponsorship in the first year that he had to raise? I ask this as:

"The facts came forth that current sponsorship was in fact lower than what was already in place when our EO took over."

If the current sponsorship was lower? how does the EO have a job? who is paying for this job? and dont you think he should off been terminated immediatly? :hey:

I heard it got eventful over the secretaries Job, and only one club supporting his role, every other club wanting him gone.

I am not sticking up for anybody, nor do I know what has been tried. But getting actual $$$ sponsorship these days is getting harder and harder. Any body jumping into this job, in the current economic situation when a lot of businesses are struggling is not going to have an easy job. Not saying I have the answer's but it's not as easy as some people think and finding someone that does have the answers will be extremely difficult. The answer "maybe" to have a group of volunteers getting together each week and "Brainstorming" like big companies do. 10 heads are better than 1. and then the EO can follow up on weekly ideas?

So your saying that he needs 10 people to help him who are volunteers yet he still takes the $$$
Na doesnt cut it Mav he wants the big $$$ he goes out and gets them and funds his pay cheque.

If it's volunteers then you pay no one including the EO just my view.

I've heard a very interesting rumour today - don't know how much credence there is in it but it's starting to do the rounds. The Campbelltown clubs who are currently playing in Group 6 are seen as being "on loan" from Wests JRL by NSWRL and that "loan" will be recalled next year because the wests JL and clubs don't want to play in the ICCC and will need them to form a comp.

l didn't say he needs 10 people, I said that 10 heads are better than 1 :correct:
If you want to stick your head in the sand and say let him do it, thats fine, but the ideas are then limited to one person and the results will be reduced.

I have been in sales for 25 years and have never seen it tougher and bottom line is that G6 want to sell their product in very tough times and every idea used can add to the results. :correct:

I heard hell might freeze over to hahaha won't happen B&W you know that. Imagine Campbelltown Eagles clayton cup winners playing Ingleburn and ESA, it would be mercy rule every week.

Heads out the sand Mav, fact is KPIs are set and in buisness and employment you don't get volunteers to assist you meet your KPi targets. The EO is a job which clubs I'm reading want funded by sponsorship or the job ceases to exist which is more then fair.

Just repeating what I was told by a fairly reliable source.

I could see NSWRL & the JL trying to put this in motion - the situation in the JL area with senior footy must be a real embarrassment to them.

They can't run their own senior comp and they can't force a combined comp with Group 6. For the last 2 years its been chaotic - a stand alone comp, a joint comp with Penrith, a joint comp with Parramatta, a joint comp with Canterbury, the ICCC. Clubs haven't known what comp they are in until the very last minute.

This may be how they are planning to deal the situation before the start of next season.
