2GB have been gathering info on events and will be contacting management of g6 for a explaination on how a club gets kicked out without doing anything criminal or bringing the game into bad light. From what I hear management have declined to field calls all day
There will be some damage control going on.

Just listened to ray Hadley speak on today's show, he has said he spoke to Terry Quin and asked that the Eagles be reinstated effective immediately pending an appeal process on the throwing out, Ray stated he was annoyed at the handling and will do all he can to get the Eagles back on the field.

Ray uses the words grossly unfair and abusive of powers!!! this is snowballing!!!

I'm comfortable with my decision last night, and if anyone wants to ask the way I voted, go ahead, PM me and i'll let you know.
I asked a question last night, and I think it's valid.
Eagles played in round 4 vs Camden. You guys won, and won well, but what changed between Round 4 & 5?
The delegates couldn't give a clear answer. I really just want to know.
If the Eagles had've turned up to play in some capacity last Sunday we wouldn't be talking about this, because ultimately the clubs (not management) lost faith In the Eagles, and they felt that the Eagles couldn't be trusted to turn up in future fixtures.
Ringing Ray Hadley and blaming Hazo is pretty poor form. You should be exploring the appeals avenue, not pointing fingers.
Hazo must be the most powerful man in group 6, because he has managed to get all the clubs to vote you out. Think about it guys.
Every time someone gets on here and questions the Eagles, you try and troll them, and try and build this Us vs Them approach, which is not good, you are not getting to the core of the problem, and you are not taking things on board.
I had a member of the Eagles call me on Tuesday arvo asking for advice on how they should tackle the situation, and not one thing I mentioned to him was acted upon.
Everyone I have met and dealt with at the Eagles loves the club, and they are passionate about football, and more so their club. But sometimes passion clouds your judgement, and honestly I think it has killed you guys because you got stuck on the wrong path.
Gary and Richard tried their level best last night, but ultimately (and no disrespect intended) they weren't the right men for the job.
If you had your time again, a different approach would have worked wonders.

Doing a media blitz & witch hunt in the wake of what's happened has just created a bigger divide between yourselves and the rest of the clubs, the animosity shown towards group 6 has clouded the clubs better judgement in which a more professional approach should have been adopted to appeal the decision and have a right to do so. Remember this isn't the wests jrl its a different system altogether, clubs have a greater say in the comp and group 6 adopts them, the clubs have had the final say , whatever easts do going forward they need to earn the respect back from the clubs in group 6 .

from what ive heard east were sent a email stating that the points would be reviewed of another 29 players and if found to be over would be penalised again. i think they couldnt risk a fine again. iwas also told they werent allowed to produce 3 emails sent to g6 about not playing on the weekend. mmmm does sound unfair.

Some slanderous comments on Facebook won't help their cause either - even from officials or people that hold power in the place

Pretty disgusting

couldnt believe what heard on the radio earlier today ray hadley talking about the easts situation claimed he is going to follow up the matter and look at getting easts reinstated, this could get interesting.
Fair to say the story of the Eagles has gone viral and will be played out on social media and the media in general over the next few days. Its generating a fair bit of interest form high sections of the rugby league media and community in general.

Personally i feel the players have been punished over a headlogger with Group 6 board and the clubs own board, I very sour outcome for the players involved who just want to play the game with the mates they have developed over the years. Very, very sad day for the players and game in general.
I have heard some of the same it will be interesting how the commitie will explain how a player who has played over 300 nrl games city/country, origin and Australia and has come out publicly saying that Robertson is his junior club be graded as a 2 point player at moss vale and a young kid who has been at the same local club for over 20 years is graded as 40 then dropped to 25 it's just unbelievable!!!
from what I can see from last comment, someone doesnt know how the points work. The international in question probably played a handful of games (at most) for Robbo as a junior and about 4-5 YEARS at Mossy Juniors before heading to the big smoke.

As TC would know the decision last night by the clubs ,not the executive, was massively in favour (almost unanimous I heard) of not having the Eagles in the comp. So it will be interesting to see what Ray Hadley thinks he can do or who he can influence. No -one wants to see players not playing but maybe the Admin at Eagles got it wrong!!! and instead of pointing the finger at everyone else could have looked at rectifying the issue and complied like all other clubs

It's getting increasingly hard to "bite my tongue" with all this stuff. It's only been one day and the conspiracy theories are getting old. I'd better be careful not to 'drink and forum' in the near future.

Wake up to ya self footy lover, maybe if ya committee wasn't so incompetent you's would be lacing the boots up this week, instead of sulking about the decision handed down!

Plus I know as a fact that the weste jnrs register ran her eyes over the register books from previous years and 15 out of the 17 players in question failed to meet with the points allocated by the east comittee!
Maybe east should have met with group officials like campbelltown city did to discuss the points system prior to the competition starting! :hey:

I wouldn't bother taking it to court if I was the Eagles! The amount of ridiculous accusations, allegations, rubbish about this being a vendetta etc isn't going to help them at all.... especially coming from Coaches and committee members of the club.

IMO I feel very sorry for the players and the members of the club who have worked tirelessly to get the club to its current status but I am a bit insulted after reading some of the comments from players etc stating that Group 6 people have 6 fingers, saying that we are all scared of them, stating that Group 6 was too easy for them etc.... PLEASE..... I think they forget that the first year they came into the competition Oakdale knocked them off....

Yes, they were great last year.... but so far this year they were yet to play the competition favorites such as Narellan, Oakdale, Mittagong, Picton.....

Group 6 has survived without Campbelltown clubs for years and will continue to do so..... Again I feel sorry for the players etc but don't go bagging all of us over this decision.....

You need Group 6.... Group 6 doesn't need you....

You are 100% on the money Footylover.
When Richard Barnes & John DaSilva asked me what the process is at these meetings and how I thought they'd go I gave them my honest OPINION.
I didn't know any facts, I had info that Daniel Draper had been telling me for weeks, I had info that Matt Hughes told me, and I had the knowledge that your club failed to show up for a fixture against The Oaks.
I think you aren't getting all the facts here footylover, and it's making you look silly. My opinion was based solely on the fact that the Eagles failed to show up for the game last Sunday. I knew the clubs would not take too kindly to this.
As for not having a backbone, well that's your interpretation. I in fact did not vote, and you can ask the Campbelltown City delegate and the 2 Narellan delegates that were next to me. I said it was not my place as a player to kick 60 players out of a comp.
This is what your club needed to do to survive Footylover. They needed a leader. Someone that was going to standup and right all the wrongs. Someone that was going to kiss a little bit of arse and apologise for not showing up to The Oaks & Narellan. Someone that was going to offer compensation to these 2 clubs, someone that was going to assure the rest of the clubs that this was not going to happen again, and that the club would comply with the points system. Instead the delegates took everyone to task over the points system, which was not what the meeting was about.
I've built a really good working relationship with Daniel, and I feel sorry for him because I know how much time and effort he has put into your club, and I know his relationship with the group deteriorated but that's where someone else needed to fill the void.
but man i'm done with you guys now, your attacking me over unsubstantiated information, I had McCormick email me attacking me saying that I hope I can't sleep at night over my decision, when he doesn't even know my decision, you guys have attacked Hazo through several mediums, and you are throwing conspiracy theories out left right and centre, when all you needed to do was turn up for a game of football. You guys really need to look at the people who are running your club (I know they have the best interests at heart, but unfortunately some people aren't cut out for it) and the way that you deal with adversity. Finger pointing and slandering people (Especially through facebook) is not a way to move forward, you guys really need to build a bridge, because right now, do you really think another competition is going to want to take you on?
Goodluck brother, I wish you all the best.
