Regardless of what has transpired between eagles and group 6 regarding points and any issues, the fact is we have 60 odd players put out of the game which is very excessive punishment, where forgetting the issue here being the players missing out on playing when they have done no wrong. I commend TC and his stance on note voting it would be impossible to oust 60 players from the game they live and breath. You can in a way understand the venting by people on social media all they I don't condone slandering emotions obviously running high when you loose something you love.

It is quite feasible that a club that is thrown out of one competition may be viewed prejudicially by an alternative League.

However, there is a precedent where a competition was commenced by the NSWRL solely because it sought a remedy for the actions of a League. 15 years ago the Parramatta DJRL was very strong, but as clubs began to defect to Metro and then JBC its standards declined. In 2010 the PDJRL decided that no player in the comp would be paid, meaning that the reserve grades of Cabramatta, Wenty and Mounties had nowhere to play.

As a last option to provide these players an opportunity, the NSWRL determined that the Sydney Shield should commence in mid May with those 3 teams, a shadow NYC team from the Bulldogs and an East Campbelltown team. The Eagles team were already committed to Bundy and the Combined comp so its SS team was out of its depth and dropped out after about 5 weeks of cricket scores.

That comp had no other purpose than solving a problem between a local League and the clubs. It disappeared in 2011 when the PDJRL changed its stance in the following season but came back in 2012 with 7 teams and now has 11 teams for 2013.

Yes but the players are under a directive from the clubs management & administration, they are in the middle of this, and didn't choose of their own will to be part of it and trusted its management to work on a resolution.

Also the club needs to look at why it has so many fractured relationships within rugby league circles, there is a troubling pattern that can't be ignored.

I thought that if you abstained from a vote it was automatically a YES vote.

You just try and poke holes in everything.
You were in the meeting, and would know that there was a ballot paper, I held on to mine, so it couldn't be counted.

T.c u don't have to justify anything to these clowns clearly there intent is to create more dramer and point fingers!! If they have anythings else to ask let it be to the group and they can sort it, I think I speak for a majority when I say every one is over this topic and the bullshhh that comes with it!!!!

Why does anyone have to justify if and how they voted. Hence why it is known as secret ballot.

Time to move on, subject is getting boring.

Foal what is happening down Picton way, serious chance to take the title or not? You have a fairly healthy roster. Looking forward to the clash at Community next week

Poking holes what do you mean? I simply made a statement. Yes I know there were ballot papers and that the future of a club was on the line. I voted NO for many reasons mainly for the players sake. I feel that the punishment does not fit the crime no matter which way you look at it. Why didn't you vote at all?

Rusty, I'm not one for bold predictions, but I think we can match any team on our day and with our full roster. I don't want to get too hung up on Michael lett, but after one game I can see that with him we have the individual spark that we've lacked since Will Dreves moved on. With Chris Young leading a mobile, fit, tough forward pack we're pretty solid in the middle too.

One thing I'm really pleased about is what seems to be a renewed attitude in our reserve grade squad. Last night with no game on this weekend we had over 20 Reggie's players at training all with smiles on. And there's some quality there too. So we look like having some real depth that hasn't been around since '09.

Again, I won't be too bold, but at this stage I expect both grades to make the 5 and they should both be competitive in September. I don't know about our 18s now their comp has been split but they have some very good young players too.

How's the dragons gonna be? Horror injury toll I hear. Will you be able to bounce back?

I'm hearing Ben Baker signed with Mittagong today..... If so that's MASSIVE!

Can only imagine how dangerous he will be running off both Scotty and Ryan Borg!

He would of been at the jets, the team had a vote last night at training and the majority of us voted him to stay there were a few players that didn't want him there one of them was gallant anyway good luck to Ben he will have a great year down mittagong, well done to mittagong on getting him down there, that's a good addition to their backline with the players like the Borg brothers, Warwick carter and young Matt Thorpe

Michael Stevens has gone over to Kangaroos.
Dunley at Rams?
Does this mean that all players are free to go where they like without any repercussions ?

Daniel is back  can you shed any light on this whole mess BD.
( if ??? you dont have side for the boys anywhere BD call Al and he may be able to take some)
Any players can inbox me and I can give you All Saints Coach's number. (but only if you dont have a side, not trying to steal players just trying to offer some player's without a side an option where points are not an issue.)

Been told Players were told they can start approaching teams and they would be granted a release without any questions
