just heard that blunden is going back to east ctown
Would he be worth it now with the new shoulder charge rule in place, takes alot out of his game now.

No still getting a coach sorted, an ex coach of mine from Easts may do it but nothing is official yet. To not have a team in that area would be a waste the club has a ton of amazing juniors coming through that will no doubt be chased by NRL scouts.
Good luck! Last i heard Spanos won't be coaching at the club next year either. thats probably means that the 19's players that would have returned wont be anymore and will probably follow him to wherever he goes, anyones guess really.

hopefully you secure enough to get a senior team. all the best.

Yes it does take a lot out of his game. But some of his old coaches have been trying for years (without success) to reduce the shoulder charge's in his game. He has been playing first grade union without the shoulder charge and doing OK. (which is one reason I find the game so boring) Personally I will miss the big hits in rugby league and believe this rule will take some of the excitement out of the game, a part of the game that has been in place for over 100 years, and in this area (Wests/G6) few are better at it than Matt.

Same thing with the BIFF it took the excitement out of the game.

It would be nice to let it happen.

It's hard for me to think of anybody that hits like Blunden, his old team mate Mazeen being one of
the few. Shame to see the league take this stance.

Yes I hope the Group doesn't go with this rule, the crowd love a big hit, or seeing a Dave Lowe up against a Mathew Blunden, nothing better!

Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to all.
Is the Christmas wish of clubs to know what comp they are playing in next year. Rumor has it and only rumor that Group 6 Is in talks to take on a few Western Suburbs club to prop up their 2nd division comp in 2013. Just a rumor but I believe would help both sides.

While Julie Luke and co are there I highly doubt Wests will have their own comp, we need fresh faces in management with fresh ideas. Honestly do you really think I want to play 2 home games a year, travel to the City and have games that start early morning? I'm not a junior anymore any people have jobs..

Not quite sure what you are on about, but All Saints had many home games this year (at least half), most games were at 3pm Sunday (some were 1.30) and the longest we travelled was Hurstville. And if it is the same this year we wont complain.

I can only comment on this year, next year is ??? if next years's comp is like or similiar as this year, I think most will be happy. (as long as the ridiculous rain rule is sorted)
