Wherever I'm needed, I'm playing 3rd grade and obviously you know i tried to keep the ESA team going but it couldn't work and after that i went to a training session at Warriors but the turn up was do-do so i thought just keep going with Easts. Hopefully it will be a fun year after last year and my disagreements with the coach I'm just hoping it will be at least a 5 team comp any less isn't much fun. |

Titans gain pledges with the addition of Italian restaurant Cucina Peter Way,Liverpool Leader http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/newslocal/south-west/titans-gain-pledges-with-the-addition-of-italian-restaurant-cucina/story-fngr8hxh-1226594516669 ![]() Cucina105 restaurant is the latest sponsor of rugby league team Liverpool Titans. Ryan Norris, Cucina105 owenr Angelo Cucchiaro and Corey Wall. Picture: Melvyn Knipe. Source: NewsLocal THE Liverpool Titans will add a touch of class and sophistication to their working class roots with the addition of Italian restaurant Cucina 105 to its burgeoning list of sponsors. After owner Angelo Cucchiaro saw the Liverpool Leader's story about Pritchard's Hotel getting on board, the restaurateur decided he too could get behind the community. "We're both strong local identities in the community and the people of Liverpool have been good to us so we wanted to put something back in," Mr Cucchiaro said. After starting out with a take-away shop, he then opened a cafe before realising his dream of owning his own restaurant. "It was always my dream to have my own Italian restaurant, I've got a passion for food," Mr Cucchiaro said. Titans secretary Corey Wall believes the sponsorship will help the children in Liverpool who want to play sport. "It gets the children off the couch playing their playstations and allows them to play rugby league, have fun with their friends and enjoy better equipment and facilities," he said. The Italian restaurant bar and pizzeria prides itself in its traditional cooking methods and Mr Cucchiaro said, beside the pizzas and pastas, the wild barramundi was his favourite dish. Mr Wall said it was great news for a rugby league club just three years old. |

All Saints getting women's team http://www.liverpoolchampion.com.au/story/1342507/all-saints-getting-womens-team/?cs=1591 ![]() ALL Saints Liverpool Junior Rugby League Club, one of the oldest and proudest in the city, is tackling a new field in 2013 with a women's team. "If we can get the team up and running, it would be the first time a women's team will represent our club," All Saints Liverpool president Roy Perre said. Girls can play rugby league until they are 12 in boys' teams. But when 13, they must play in a competition with their own gender. The Sydney Metro Women's Rugby League runs the competition. Perre said they need 15 girls'/women's players to to pull on the footy boots and club jerseys to make it all happen. "From my point of view I would love to see the team formed," Perre said. Perre, of Prestons, also wants to seen club return to his halcyon days. Since 1972 many players have represented and trained at the club's home ground, Hillier Oval. After a tough 2012, where All Saints only had three junior teams and an A grade side in the senior competitions, things have turned around. "During the off-season the committee recruited strongly and we expect to have nine junior age sides and three A-grade teams this season," he said. "We delivered flyers to hundreds and hundreds of homes, advertised and also canvassed the local schools." Perre said they will have junior age teams in the under-6s, 7s, 8s, 10s, 12s, 13s, 14s, 15, and 16 age groups. All Saints play in the Western Suburbs Junior Rugby League and the competitions begin on Saturday, April 6. Training for the women is Tuesday and Thursday, Hillier Oval, 6.30pm. Details: Roy Perre, 0417 255 604. |
