All Saints Sunday :letmesee:

Things did not start good for us on Sunday, with our 3rd grade going down 58-4 to a very good Campbelltown Warriors Side. Our 3rds have some very young players just starting in A Grade so as they develop so will the side. :correct:

Things got better when our 2nds played Fivedock at Fivedock, and had their 1st win of the season taking it out 28-4. I think that side may upset a few sides as the year goes on. Well done guys. :drink:

In our 1st grade clash we came up against our old friends Berala Bears :fight: , who were not going to make it easy.
All Saints started well and flew out to a 16-0 lead after 20 minutes. Unfortunately we forgot that we were playing easily the best 2nd phase play side from last year, After running circles around us for a period, they put 4 tries on us in a row taking them to a 20-16 lead. With a about a minute to go before half time we hit back with a try in the corner and regained the lead 22-20 at the break.

Coach Fry gave the boys a big serve at half time and demanded defence on our home soil and respect for the jersey.
Surprisingly, they actually listened and defended well the whole second half keeping Berala scoreless and scoring 2 tries ourselves.

Final score 28-20 :winner: which keeps us at equal first place with St George Dragons. (2nd with for and Against) :correct:

Next week it’s Moorebank I think at home (TBC) Moorebank are not easy to beat and we will have to be at the top of our game to get over them. :yeah:

Jay Masueli played his last game for us before moving to Souths and Rob Laing will play his last game this weekend before going to England. Best of luck with your future guys. :winner:

Your correct Moody
it is a sad day for Rugby League when a whole club
gets ejected from its competition, god knows how many players,
and nobody will come on here and say why ? Do people
think the game of Rugby League is so strong we can
afford to lose a club and all its players to ???
If I was an Eagles player the idea of going to
play for another group 6 club would be like
becoming mates with the person that just stabbed you in the back.

Thats just my opinion and love or hate the Eagles any team
left in that competition cannot now say they were the best
side at the end of the season. It will be a hollow victory
for their Grand final winner this year.

I haven't commentated on here for along time but i feel as though I have to on this topic! To stop 60 odd players playing the game is a complete disgrace. I couldnt imagine having to go to my boys officials volunteers and have to tell them that type of news. I feel for those people . This is about A game that we all love and live and breath and to take that away from those boys is CRIMINAL :dunno:

Hate to say it but with all that's happening (ridiculous rule changes, a local club getting unfair treatment and the boot, professional players misbehaving and some with mental health problems getting swept under the carpet) this game is going backwards. I thought the tv deal would have helped and the independent commission does nothing AFL and the A League will continue to thrive while politics in local rugby league is.

Disagree moody.

There has always been these problems in Rugby League, a $1b TV deal won't fix it.

But what has been great for the game is the leeches that are News LTD are now out of our game (Looks like the Storm may have a buyer).

And seeing David Smith being so proactive compared to Gallop is also great.

The IC has been the best thing to happen to the game. Everything is now under the one banner.

And the constant whinging from the likes of Rothfield and DUI Bec Wilson just puts the icing on the cake.

And the comment on the AFL and A-League thriving. Gee i'm sick of hearing it.

The AFL has no chance in this area. The sport has actually been going backwards.

And after the AFL were caught double dipping (counting the number of Auskick registrations as official playing numbers) they have been shown for the corrupt admin they are.

If you think the NRL are good at sweeping things under the rug, look into the AFL.

Bloody hell, they put a player who admitted giving a young women heroin which she overdosed on into their Hall Of Fame. They even call him God.

And the A-League, we are not in competition with them. Our comps overlap for a few weeks each year.

It's the idiots at the Daily Telegraph who are trying to make it seem like they are a threat.

And unfortunately plenty of people buy into their bullshit.

Yeah it is a shame that 60 players have to look for somewhere else to play but bottom line is their Committee had the chance to broker peace and still dug their heels in and fought against officialdom.

Comes a time when the boys in charge need to look at what is best for the club, not what is best for their ego. Now they have no comp to play in so where was the best interests of Eagles in that case???

Conciliatry and diplomacy - learn it for the future

Pastrami, your constant rants on the Eagles is poor form, wether you love them or hate them this club and I talk of committe and players, have put together a great winning culture that other clubs only dream of having. They have been well in front of any Group 6 Club on and off the field and the results show just that. Maybe that is the reason Group 6 was happy to see their departure and I couldnt see the Eagles losing this year.

And reading there Facebook page, they have a number of very talented players running around in the NRL. Considering the size of the East Campbelltown Junior Club they have very good results. What committee are you on Pastrami? I wonder of you have ever been on a committee?

Nothing has been said by Group 6 on what has actually happened to the Campbelltown Eagles and why a vote was even granted, All I could think is to how any Management could do this to young man playing the game. I had also noticed that the Eagles had been undefeated in all 3 Grades so far this year.

If Group 6 couldn't compete with the high flying Eagles, they should of informed them and the players to go to a higher level than to stand down so many players at Round 5.

VERY POOR FORM

I have from a good source that Eagles are looking at SCC. I am sure they would be welcome, but think thier 1st grade are far too strong for this comp
(even with the loss of a couple of key players). At the moment all games seem to on a fairly level playing field and I would hate to see that change.
Eagles are a good club and I believe their reserve grade are more than capable of our 1st grade level .
Thier 3rd grade could be in reserve grade and thier 18s could play in our 19s (there are 2 divisions)

I hope they push themselves and take on the Sydney Shield with the 1st grade and I think all would be happy.

If any of the boys would like to come to Hammondville today for a 3pm kick off (All Saints V Moorebank) you can judge the level yourself.

Dont have all the scores but All Saints A Grade defeated a somewhat depleted Moorebank outfit 54-4 to take top of the ladder in the SCC

Our resverves were beaten by Minto

And our 3rds had their first win of the year over Collies.

Well done to 1sts and 3rds and reserves will soon get it together.

Any other results ?
