Hey Maverick, I have been looking for Jay Masueli. He did not play with Norths and has not been listed in the RMC or SS teams of either Asquith or Burwood-North Ryde. Do you know when he will start?
They have him playing for "South Eastern" in the Souths comp to gain fitness from what I am told (by Jay). I hope he hasn't been given the big "sell" story to get him to leave us. Sorry I have no more accurate detail than that.
He was happy at All Saints and was made all sorts of promises to go there. He said he will come back to us if they dont come good with their promises. Time will soon tell :correct:

I must say I thought he would be hard to replace, but our current front rowers had to step up, and are doing more than great job since his absence. (that comment comes direct from the coach)

To be honest,I'v seen clubs do this sort of thing many times, signed a player from else where and realistically, if Souths(as in the South Sydney Rabbitohs) signed Jay,he wouldn't be playing A-Grade for South Eastern, match fitness is an old excuse. He would be with Norths,Asquith or Burwood-North Ryde at very least..Just look at Ed Paea, tigers recently signed him,he hasn't played league for a few years, has been playing bush rugby I believe,he is playing RMC for match fitness,if he performs he will go up to NSW Cup..but from what your saying about young Jay,sounds as though,South Eastern have actually signed him...not south Sydney.

You may be right, Jay played NSW Cup last year for Wests, so he certainly knows the level he needs to be at, But he was definatley under the impression he was signed by Souths. Sad if Clubs resort to these tactics to get a young player and get his hopes up. We can only wait and see.

Eddie Paea was playing 1st grade rugby for Eastern Suburbs but then he secured a contract in the NPC ie the NZ national provincial championship that features all the Super 15 players except those playing tests for the All Blacks. NPC runs from mid August to mid October each year.

Big day at hillier oval with all saints getting up in all three grades. 1st grade beat st George dragons by 54-10. Very impressive win. I'm looking forward to when they play penshurst in a couple of weeks.

Congrats to all the all saints team for a great day.

Although, the ground announcer needs a little work. Haha!

Yes as the Big Show stated a great day at Hillier Oval today

1st Grade ran all over 2nd placed St George with a massive 54-10 win. :winner:

The boys playing in pink can be watched on the following link ....All Saints You Tube Channel

Reserve Grade 1 managed to get out of jail securing a 20-18 win over Renown. Renown missing the conversion that would have tied the game up at full time. :winner:

Reserve 2s had a convincing win over Berala Bears 26-10 :winner:

All Saints got the trifecta today and not only that, raised over $5500 just in Jersey sales alone after the game, which will go to the McGrath Foundation. All involved today can hold their heads high, what a great effort.

I also heard Moorebank beat Penshurst today in 1st grade

Any other results?

I attended Hillier Oval last Sunday for the All Saints JRLFC's Women in League day. I must say it was a great experience. The All Saints Committee should be proud of a job well done. As an extra bonus All Saints won the 3 grades. The A grade played some great football. I'll be there this Sunday for the following games:

3rd Grade v Valley (12.00 p.m.)
2nd Grade v St. Christopher’s (1.30 p.m.)
1st Grade v St. Christopher’s (3.00 p.m.)

Talk tonight at training of All Saints having another big home game day later in the year, this day would be an indigenous themed day and indigenous NRL players may be attending. Shows what great initiative our indigenous boys in A grade have.

May be tough Moody, lets wait and see. The new rule allows for a change of venue if a venue is washed out, but if all venues are washed out the round will be cancelled.

After watching his youngest brother Tim play in the Women of League round I am happy to announce my eldest boy got the itch and has decided he has had enough of Union and will turn out in the All Saints colors once again next week (as long as G6 gets his clearance done) Welcome back Matt.

Matt knocked back offers from East Campbelltown and Oakdale at the start of the season.

All good signs for the future of the All Saints club. :winner:
