Everyone saying about loss and gains from one comp to another, but NSWRL is the controlling body and if EAgles are not financial, so this means paying group 6 everything owing to them, the club is non financial and will not be allowed to join any other competition until they are. Funny how people change their attitudes about clubs when they think their is a gain for themselves. I also heard that players that had payed the rego to eagles have had to fork out another payment to clubs they have gone to play for?????. If this is true pretty poor by the club they come from.
Main thing to come of all off this is as long as the players are playing rugby league is all that matters, shame that was not the first thing all people involved thought about.

Been told a handful of Eagles players have turned up to Wentworthville Magpies - A grade. Interesting.

From the outside looking in - I believe Group 6 had issues with Campbelltown Eagles RLFC and not East Campbelltown JRLFC. I'd imagine that East Campbelltown Junior Rugby League Football Club that is affiliated with the Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League would still be entitled to enter senior teams ( A grade etc) in the 2014 Sydney Combined Competition whilst Campbelltown Eagles Rugby League Football Club may remain in hibernation. Ron Massey Cup (Bundy) is another matter. The 2013 season is still to be run and won before this matter is decided by those so empowered to do so. Time will tell.

So why are G6 asking for rego's from some but not others?

Why should Eagles be in debt for fees incurred to play in a comp, that through no choice of theirs, they were not allowed to play in. :dunno:

If they were allowed to play the season then they would have paid their dues. They did not ask to go !!!

And really, how isn't the Campbelltown Eagles financial, how would anyone expect them to pay full season Registrations when Group 6 threw them to the gutter, mind you CRL warned group 6 about this when they where asking for mediation between the two, saying that they will be all losing money from this! referring to Group 6

I cannot understand the actions of the CRL. A club made an appeal against a Group decision. Surely the CRL has to either rule uphold the appeal or dismiss it ie which party was in the right.

By ruling that a mediation occurs they are saying that both the 2 parties meet and thrash it out until there is agreement about the outcome. Clearly the Eagles had no agreement to the outcome so the mediation has not been conducted.

So the CRL neither made a decision on the appeal nor ensured that the mediation occurred.

With the 30 June cut off fast approaching players that wish to register will have to do so asap or hang their boots up until the 2014 season. Shame that certain parties are placing hurdles and flaming hoops in front of those trying to move forward. Heard All Saints are desperate for players, so desperate that they even registered an old rugby forward and he's rumoured to be sitting on the 1st grade bench this Sunday. Where can I get on Penshurst 13 plus?

:letmesee: :yeah:

Al Fry rates Penshurst as the best coached side in the comp. They are not a big side but just do everything right and stick to their game plan. If our boys are on their game and stick to our plan we should be good, if not then Penshurst 13 plus is not off the cards.

And somebody has to keep that bench warm. :correct:

Mav - How'd the old fella go??????????????
Kept the bench warm for about 10 or so, and came on the park and had a I suppose nervous start with a couple of dropped balls and then decided to use Penshurst as a bowling alley, knocking 3 tenpins over and scored next to the posts. One of them tenpins didn't get up so quick

But seriously we were down 6-0 after 2 minutes, then Tubby was sent off in the next set of six for a "dangerous tackle ?" Penshurst took full advantage and scored again not long after, down 10-0 and 12 men for the rest of the game. We then rallied and got 3 tries to hit the lead by half time.

2nd half and Penshurst came at us again with everything scoring 2 more tries and hitting the lead again (I think 20-18) But again 3 more tries to Saints sealed our win 32 or 34 -20?

Massive effort from everyone on the field winning against who I believe are the best opposition in A Grade with 12 men for 95% of the game.

And the old warhorse did not let us down

I'm not sure of the exact score in A reserve 2, Titans won 30-24? Quite a few calls from the referee to both teams that left people scratching their heads.
