Which ever way you look at it the publicity would do more good than harm. From there only good things could happen. Regards. |

Spot on Maggie, I could imagine quite a crowd turning up to Campbelltown Stadium for that. They said that NSW V Qld State of origin wouldn't work either A Few years ago they used to do a West's Cup every year. I Remember in 2002 All Saints 18s played an Exhibition game against the Wests SG Ball Side. All Saints held them for most of the game but in the end the fitness and talent in the Wests side prevailed (but we gave them a scare) TC may be correct in the fact it has little significance, but it would be a great promotion, and any promotion for Rugby League is good, and this would surely attract plenty of local interest from Mossvale to Liverpool and being the SCC is now covers many Sydney districts that interest could spread from local to ???????? |

It wouldn't need to hold significance it's not a competition game but rather like an All Stars game. It's sole purpose would be entertainment I mean isn't that what footy is anyway? Tc I can't agree with you about the World Club Challenge being a nothing game, wait till it comes out here than you'll see. |

Yeah it is of little significance, but if you build it up it may mean something, we'll host it if u like? It's like the all stars game, it will always mean more to the little brother, it means more to the aboriginal side. And the WCC, lets say Manly win the comp, and they hold the game here, do you think 50000 people will turn up? Edited by tc6_11, Sep 23 2013, 04:50 PM.

Depends i think 30000 is a bit more realistic but if the tickets were priced respectably it'd be a great event here. I went and watched Wests and other teams at Oki Jubilee yesterday in the finals for $10, much better than the $25 price at the G6 gf. |

Take it easy black and white honest mistake moderator I thought I saw $25 here somewhere. Lol please excuse my honest mistake about Group 6. Anyway how they charge more than a RMC finals series and charge the players well that's beyond me.

Considering the numbers that attended were the highest they'd had in many years seems to indicate that the can charge $15 because people were willing to pay it.

That's a few times now moody that you seem to want to play the 'moderator' card. As a mod, B&W simply clarified the facts for you, as was done yesterday for you with the differences between Group 7 and the Carlton League. If you're going to make statements, do your research first. Getting it wrong consistently is not helping your cause to be taken seriously. You seem to have a lot of anger towards CRL Group 6. We invite you to list your grievances against G6 on the G6 forum. It would be good to hear on this forum what are the 2014 plans of clubs in the SCC, and if the Eagles are returning to the Massey Cup, it would probably be worthwhile giving the Eagles a separate thread again. |

Moody. I do not think listing your grievances with G6 on the G6 thread would have a good outcome for you or anybody else. Take a chill pill for now and look towards 2014

I always thought rugby league was a working class game? I'm just trying to keep it that way thanks peeps it would be a shame if we looked like rugby union culture wise in 5-10 years.

I asked the question just now on the Magpies thread and seems apt here as well. I asked whether Wests had signed any of their current squad for next year or how many had signalled their intention to return. As mentioned previously and in Orana's bit there seems a bit of a word around that Eagles might have a crack at a Massey Cup side and the remainder of the club in the SCC (relevant in this thread), with a few of their 1st grade squad at the Maggies does anyone know which players would return to Eagles, stay with the Maggies or find other clubs, not including those that retire / can't play next season? Seems Wests district will have two teams dipping in the same pool for players for RMC next year if this is the case.

Lovinfooty the plan is for Easts to have a RMC side however if this isn't possible they will be happy with just a Sydney Shield team and being a feeder club to Wests. We are all hoping however that Wests will be back in NSW Cup next year as that's the plan. |

And there we go everybody, the start of the end, of rumours, about East Campbelltown for 2014. I am told that Trent will keep everybody informed of the facts for 2014 regarding his club. What a great idea it would be to have at least one person in the know, from all clubs posting on here with the facts of what their plans are for 2014. Come on all, if we want the SCC the grow it can start here, the more talk we talk, the more attention we get. I also recommend if you have not done so already, starting a club Facebook page and get as many players, friends, relatives and associates to share status's. Social media and the internet is the best tool for advertising these days.

Congrats and good luck East Campbelltown for 2014. Question though, if Eagles supplied 11, 12 or 14 players to Wests Magpies RMC squad, will those players be going back?? And if so, why would Wests Magpies and NSWRL be supporting their application and inclusion to possibly Magpies detriment??? |

My concerns are Magpies will slip from NSW Cup to RMC to Sydney Shield to oblivion, unless those players who are likely to return to Eagles are replaced with equal or better players. Eagles are Campbelltown and whilst Magpies have a club at Leumeah they have based and trained in Liverpool. Players from Group 6 and Campbelltown may go to Liverpool for a shot but why would they when Campbelltown Eagles, sorry, East Campbelltown Eagles are closer. Hence the query, why would Magpies support the Eagles when Eagles are cutting their turf and competing for the same pool of players?? |

As far as I know West's can draw players from anywhere they like for RMC. This could be East Campbelltown players, SCC players, Group 6 players and other RMC or better sides. The choices are many and a good side can be made from wise selections from these areas, and if they market it well. Remember that Wests Ashfield is not strapped for cash and if they want to, a splurge may be an option for next year.

Hi Guys, to answer your questions, We have a few things to sort out, but our advantages are the talent that is in and around the Macarthur Region, plenty of young talent to give opportunities, just like Cabra, Wenty, Mounties and Guildford, all clubs in one area that gives many opportunities to play at a higher level. I really don't understand your question pastrami? Why can't two clubs supply a large amount of talent? News in the East Campbelltown Eagles, Our 12 year junior Mason Talolua flies out to France Wednesday to play in the Elite League for Albi Tigers, Mason just finished a great season for the Magpies and we wish him all the best, Bon voyage Two other players will fly out to play for Cahors Bluedevils, Chris Standing and Jarryd Eggleton will fly out at the end of the year, Bon Chance I would like to welcome another new sponsor to the Eagles for 2014, Welcome Ingleburn Fair Movies, and the Club is forming a partnership with a selected charity organisation in the Macarthur Region, I will release more details on that next posting.
