Paul Jarvis announced as the New Head Coach of Campbelltown City Ex Ryde Eastwood Metropolitan Cup halfback Paul Jarvis has been appointed as the new non- playing coach of the Campbelltown City Kangaroos RLFC 1st Grade team in the CRL Group 6 competition. Jarvis arrives at the club with a distinguished playing resume, having had the record number of senior games for the Ryde club, and having won Metropolitan Cup premierships and represented NSW Residents during his playing days. Having led Campbelltown Collegians U/18s to the Combined Competition premiership in 2010, Jarvis’ coaching credentials are also well established. Commenting upon his appointment Jarvis remarked, “I am very excited to coach the Kangaroos club. City has been assembling a strong, youthful squad over the past few seasons, and having moved into the semi- finals in 2013, our goal in 2014 is to improve further upon that result”. City President Heath Attard commented, “our club has been slowly building our playing roster over the past few seasons, choosing to develop local young players, rather than go out and try to buy instant success. We want to be a football club that has a family feel to it. Those clubs achieve long term success. We welcome Paul to our football club”. Pre-season training commences for City on Thursday night December 5th at 6.30pm at Fullwood Reserve Claymore, and will continue on the 12th and 19th of December. Training will resume on Tuesday January 14th and be every Tuesday/ Thursday until the Round 1 fixture vs Appin Dogs on Sunday March 22nd. Players interested in joining Campbelltown's oldest and most famous sporting club can contact Jarvis on 0414 948 593. Paul Jarvis: Playing Career Balmain Tigers Lower Grades 1983- 1988. Ryde Eastwood Hawks 1st Grade Metro Cup halfback 1991-97 Wests Magpies 1st Grade Metro Cup captain & halfback 1998-99. Coaching Career Holy Cross Rhinos JRLFC 2004-07 U/14s Premiers, U/15s Premiers; 2007 Rhinos Coach of the Year. Arana Taumata to Oakdale is what I'm hearing Tc. Cockpit000, Roosters throwing around big dollars again to attract players, Woodo's left a fine mess as he did at Narellan, he has approached everyone except the prime minster to join the Dogs. |

We are definately looking to buy a few quality players but also try and retain who we can from last year that hasn't already jumped ship. Our reserve grade next season should be exclusively Thirlmere juniors with some of te old boys returning to play Reggie's as well as a few good young kids that are looking to return to the club after sitting a few years out. Gives us some breathing space in first grade for points. |

Not the best info Mole, you must be referring to Liverpool City. 2nd Division team basically locked in now already, with ex Eagle Jake Morgan in as captain coach. Paul Jarvis 1st Grade, Glenn De Bono has the U/18s. Reserve Grade TBC. Danny thereabouts, we've been mates back to Fairfield Pats days. DG's gig if he wants it (a little pun for those who know Gal). We've secured 1st Grade talent from Group 9, Group 7 & the ACT to this point... Negotiations well advanced with two vastly experienced campaigners, one a back, one a forward... All to add around Manu Aso'ava (Group 6 most influential forward in 2014), plus Ross Brown. Edited by Orana87, Nov 27 2013, 08:09 PM.

Rego is now compulsory for all Group players, will be strictly enforced, certainly by our club also. $300 for seniors, $150 for U/18s. Clubs found not in compliance subject to massive fines, loss of comp points, player suspensions. A good thing. All clubs have to safeguard the integrity of a 10 team comp. |

Some 18s pushing up, adds to team from last season. Possibly DG. A few 1st Graders may be found wanting a 1st Grade spot. The days of 'I just play Reserve Grade', are well & truly over for us, bar the core 3-4 players. |
