Quiet here of late. Tips for this weekend: I'm taking the Oaks in an upset over Narellan. Mittagong over Kangaroos. And I'll tip with my heart and take a massively injury depleted Picton over a strong and in form Camden. Edited by foal, Jun 28 2014, 07:47 AM.

Yeah the picton v Camden game will be interesting. The rumors show a shocking injury toll. If a team is going to take picton off the top it has to be in the next few weeks. |

Shifty didn't play yesterday. On another note, Ray Cashmere got the 3 points, but I think the ref must've chosen that before kick off. Cashmere was good, but Ben Weir was hands down best on ground. Most dominant front rowers performance I've seen this year. Edited by tc6_11, Jun 30 2014, 03:38 PM.

Dengate and Matthews have left...... To tour Europe for 6 weeks. They'll be back in 3 or 4. The club knew about this all along. Apart from those 2 we were missing the following on Sunday: Chris Young, Anthony Provost, Alex Peters, Jack Twist, Luke Monds, Brendan Shephard, Will Dreves, Don Thompson, Nick Taylor. I think that's it. Brett Clarke played with a broken hand and yeah Kiel Shephard got carted off with concussion after being ko'd. |

Huge list of outs are any of these players back from injury soon..I think mittagong have the upper hand on the comp ATM considering pictons injury toll Camden doing well and with a game against appin this week u would think they will increase there win streak.. What is the ruling on clubs such as appin and thirlmere with these wests players aren't they only aloud to play during the year then not semis if that's true how will appin compete ? |

Maybe they are allowed to have wests players for the semis? That could bring Appin into contention |

What's the problem at having Wests players? it makes our competition stronger and better, instead of having Narellan, Mittagong, Picton and Camden in the running for the premiership, we now have Thirlmere and Appin in the mix. As long as these players have played most the year at that club, there shouldn't be an issue Edited by Vossy, Jul 2 2014, 01:57 PM.

Hang on Vossy, putting aside the argument that Wests players are there to even the comp out, doesn't that disadvantage those clubs who have done the good work recruitment and development wise?? I dont think it would be 'fair' that Appin wins the comp with a half team of locals (ie Group 6 locals) and half a team of Wests players?? The incentive next year would be to tank, get the Wests players and presto, lap of honour. That's exagerrating it a bit but if you recruit well, develop your juniors and hang onto those you want to then you will have a good nucleus. Oh what was that? Appin hasn't got a big junior base? Well Thirlmere do!! |

The maximum amount of wests players is 3 per team, hardly half a team. |

You make it sound like Robbie Farah and Brooks is being dropped by the Tigers, these players are excess 20's, yes guys that can't make the Tigers 20's, and we all know the 20's comp is a glorified jersey flegg competition. and as Gal said, three players. Why are people even commenting about this, these players hardly make a team. I think its great that players are getting a shot of playing in our comp. It has seen one of the best competitions where any 6 teams out of the eight can win, (apart from the two byes each week) and as long as these players played majority of the season, who cares. |

Do these players count in the points? I think it has been stated on here that they dont carry any points ANY club could in realty out bid another club for their services if they are available for the whole season. In the big picture i believe those excess players should travel back to their junior club, and as stats show the majority of players in NRL/NYC are from CRL and parking them in the city takes them away from CRL comps. Pathways can be cruel to CRL clubs. Edited by pastrami, Jul 2 2014, 05:45 PM.

Some of these kids junior club is interstate so that doesn't work. These are under 20s that can get a run, they are farmed out to various comps around Sydney . Most teams in group 6 use them or have access to them. |

What club are you directing this too? Don't start the dreaded points system again, I'm sure these clubs are abiding by the rules. If its a matter of two or three excess jersey flegg players, really wouldn't make a huge difference. Appin should be able to use more players from Wests without the interference from points as they don't have a huge junior base to feed from. |
