Would love to see more Sat arvo/ night game in 2014 as a player and a fan It's great , also is the pre season comp going ahead this year
Could not agree more bigger crowds better atmosphere oakedale do it and it works well We'll continue to do it too. It's an unreal income stream, especially bar sales.

People are much more likely to enjoy a few drinks and hang around after games at the pubs knowing they Dont have work the next day would love to see round 1 sat night games oakedale v the oaks jets v rams Picton roosters ect. These local Derby games especially

It's a no brainier can't the committees but it to group six as a player I would prefer more sat arvo night games , looking foward to 2014 season less bullshit and more good footy being played It's solely on the committee. The group agreed last year, As long the host club give 4 weeks notice, the opposition has to comply

It's solely on the committee. The group agreed last year, As long the host club give 4 weeks notice, the opposition has to comply We definitely like it and it tends to be a success when we do it. Unfortunately we do run into some issues though. Depends on the juniors home games. 16s may kick off at 3 or 3:30 on a Saturday meaning our 18s won't start until 5 - 5:30 at the earliest. Then you're looking at 8 - 8:30 for a 1st grade kick off which is fine for early and late season but around June/July nights are freezing at Victoria Park, especially after 7:30 or so. That keeps crowds away!! On days when we have no juniors we can start a bit earlier. 18s at 3 or so, but then you run the risk of the young ones that work on Saturdays having trouble. I'm all for it, providing it's doable.

The Roos have tonight secured the services of ex- Penrith & Dragons reserve grade hooker Ryan Russell, in a major coup for new coach Paul Jarvis. Highly talented ex- Picton (2012) players Michael & Jake Graham have also agreed terms for the 2014 season. Their brother Neil has also linked with us, and will provide solid depth to the 1st Grade squad.

I would of thought he might of followed Dane to Appin However if it's him that's a solid get Orana great defender! As of Ryan great hooker.
Fantastic to see city finding there feet in group six could well be A dark house this season look forward to seeing use progress

Never heard of any of them Orana? They play at a high standard moody. Ryan's played years of RMC & NSW Cup, Michael & Jake are Collegians juniors, and are the cousins of Wade Graham.

Nothing really official, more just the boys getting together, getting keen and getting fit. Looks like we've secured a couple very handy players. I'm no longer on the committee so can't confirm until I know they've signed.
Orana, Mick Graham in particular goes very good. He was one of our best in 2012. Versatile, tough and skillful.

Orana, Mick Graham in particular goes very good. He was one of our best in 2012. Versatile, tough and skillful. He's related to the new coach, so a very handy acquisition. Was in the Bulldogs NYC program in 2011, but a shoulder injury stopped him playing. I see him as a skilful edge backrower.
