The invite to the preso did state black tie! We're a bush team. We play pub footy. We don't have a committee and no one saw the invite. It's not the Dally Ms - surely some discretion could have been used!

It would be great to get retiring NRL players in group 6. The group should allow one marqee player points free per team, This would help bolster the comp and not effect the points so much?
Very good idea.. Each club has one 40 point spot for free. Encourages clubs to go and recruit one because if you don't, you're behind the game. Club benefits, competition benefits... The group should also take care of the match payments for the marquee players because it benefits the group as well as the clubs.

Cockpit u would like that rule especially after i herd you guys are in chats with George rose and Matt hilder any truth or just rumours.

Orana heading down dasha politis path too according to signings/reported signings. Another busy weekend for us on the signings front. The following are now confirmed and locked in for 2015: Gavin Graham (ex- Appin & Thirlmere): Lock/ Second Row Dylan Sharp (ex- Wenty, Windsor & Thirlmere): Second Row Anthony Dalton (City 2011-13): OBs, Halves and Edge back row James Ryan (Campbelltown Collegians): Halves, outside backs Luke Bonnell (City 2013, Collegians junior): Hooker Jarrod Stanley (Cabramatta Sydney Shield): Outside backs Sean Neil (City 2007-13): Halves, hooker Nick Spice (City 2004-13): Halves, outside backs
The Club has also re-signed the following players from 2014: Russ Aitken, Blake Anderson, Al Beckman, Clay Harding, Nathan Wilson, Chris Williamson, Luke Doherty. A few more to come here, with negotiations advanced.
External negotiations well advanced with two front rowers, and a quality ball-playing edge back rower. Looking for a quality outside back though, and we have the $$$ for one too.
Pre-season commences for us on Thursday November 13th- just every Thursday until Christmas with the occasional weekend coastal or Macarthur 'fun run' thrown in for good measure.

City to challenge in 2015? A couple of false dawns at that club, time will tell I guess. Orana running quite the campaign on here anybody else got confirmed signings/re-signings, coaches to share. Really don't understand why all G6 clubs don't have an unofficial official spokesperson on here. Invaluable resource. Most CRL competitions have a strong local media presence. We don't so this is the best we've got at the minute.

Orana, the new Politis? Or stung by losing the 'most successful Campbelltown club' title to Eagles??
Personally I think its good that a club can and is doing what it needs to better itself, by recruiting players to be in the semi's and develop a winning culture. Every club does it - subtlely or not - so its either join them or be left behind.
I heard on the grapevine that the other Politis is quitting the Jets....

I heard on the grapevine that the other Politis is quitting the Jets.... Hope this isn't true. Group 6, let alone Narellan, needs big characters, like Dash, around its fields and clubs.

cockpitt have you's been able to keep yileen and eddie paea on the books? I'm not involved in signings but last I heard was that both of the boys are keen to return to the club and why not considering they were taking home a healthy purse. Hopefully all the young boys that returned to the club as a result of the old boys coaching Reggie's hang around. We have lost the services of the two pom imports as they are heading home as I have previously mentioned. Also I hope we can retain Blake Judd at the club.
That's all the news I have from my club at this stage.

Some good innovations, ideas, silly season rumours and scuttlebutt to come out of the G6 Clubs' forum today. I'll let you decide what is what...
Coaching front Ray Cashmere is done as captain- coach at Camden, thwarting the hopes of 1-2 high profile suitors. Narellan will appoint a head new coach in the next few days, with an impressive resume. Former Camden mentor Mark De Ubago will be tasked with rebuilding the Oakdale club and has been offered their 1st Grade job. A former Camden premiership winning player will be at the helm at Thirlmere in 2015. No word on the Borgs, but with the other jobs all locked up, they may well remain at Mittagong. Picton status quo A very high profile figure ex-Tiger to join City as Aitken's assistant Appin status quo Brian Milthorpe to return as coach of Moss Vale Leo Dynevor likely reappointment at The Oaks
General Womens' League Tag competition will hopefully be a goer in G6 in 2015. 9s competition to run on a Friday night in 2015, so club's can organise weekend trials. 18s and 1st Grade only. All games in all grades hopefully videotaped G6 will aim to live-stream one fixture per round Some debate will occur again as to whether 2nd Division is a gala day format or home & away. AllStars game at The Oaks will be a big success again. Sydney Shield players likely classified at 10 points, all other external recruits reduced to 5 points 10 team 1st Grade competition, with Oakdale and Moss Vale returning. Warragamba returning to 2nd Division
And the big one... Rob from Appin tossed up that every club should receive the ability to have one marquee player in the 25-40 point zone who is exempt from the points system. This was most favourably received... obviously Rob has Bryce Gibbs line up?

So competition structures in 2015, with a draw due out this week, look likely to be:
1st Division 1st Grade/ Reserve Grade Appin Dogs Camden Rams Campbelltown City Mittagong Lions Moss Vale Dragons Narellan Jets Oakdale Workers Picton Magpies The Oaks Tigers Thirlmere Roosters
2nd Division 1st Grade only Bargo Bunnies Bowral Blues Bundanoon Highlanders Mt Annan Knights Robertson Spuddies Warragamba Wombats Perhaps Narellan & Picton may back up again in 2015.
18s competition will commence straight away as '6 & 6' in the As and Bs, without the need for early season muggings as per the last two years.

Good to see the group having a go at the Ladies League Tag comp. It is incredibly successful in Group 9, 10 & 20 without the ladies getting based about. Great stuff.

Has to happen, will take our clubs to a whole new dimension. I've already asked for applicants on Facebook to coach/ captain-coach the team.

Great stuff, as I said before it's extremely successful in the other Group, it gives the ladies / wife's / girlfriends / mum's / daughters an opportunity to play in club colours that would have had to give up at under 12's. Nice.

What players from last years ageing squad have you resigned? With flano facing a ban holdsworth and Gibbs will boost the you's fellas coming through?
