'Ageing' I think everyone's roster will be one year older this year. Don't worry about the age if the quality is still there.

Some good innovations, ideas, silly season rumours and scuttlebutt to come out of the G6 Clubs' forum today. I'll let you decide what is what...

Coaching front
Ray Cashmere is done as captain- coach at Camden, thwarting the hopes of 1-2 high profile suitors.
Narellan will appoint a head new coach in the next few days, with an impressive resume.
Former Camden mentor Mark De Ubago will be tasked with rebuilding the Oakdale club and has been offered their 1st Grade job.
A former Camden premiership winning player will be at the helm at Thirlmere in 2015.
No word on the Borgs, but with the other jobs all locked up, they may well remain at Mittagong.
Picton status quo
A very high profile figure ex-Tiger to join City as Aitken's assistant
Appin status quo
Brian Milthorpe to return as coach of Moss Vale
Leo Dynevor likely reappointment at The Oaks

General
Womens' League Tag competition will hopefully be a goer in G6 in 2015.
9s competition to run on a Friday night in 2015, so club's can organise weekend trials. 18s and 1st Grade only.
All games in all grades hopefully videotaped
G6 will aim to live-stream one fixture per round
Some debate will occur again as to whether 2nd Division is a gala day format or home & away.
AllStars game at The Oaks will be a big success again.
Sydney Shield players likely classified at 10 points, all other external recruits reduced to 5 points
10 team 1st Grade competition, with Oakdale and Moss Vale returning. Warragamba returning to 2nd Division

And the big one... Rob from Appin tossed up that every club should receive the ability to have one marquee player in the 25-40 point zone who is exempt from the points system. This was most favourably received... obviously Rob has Bryce Gibbs line up?
Good to see the workers and dragons getting back on there feet for the 2015 season.
Strong 10 team comp at this stage. Orana87how are your points looking with all the signings? Tc any word on a coach for 2015?? Appin with Bryce Gibbs and 1 other shark first grader plays in the halves? Rob can you shed any light on this?
Our points will be fine.
Holdsworth to Appin?
The job at the oaks was advertised through Facebook. Maybe Leo isn't doing it?
I heard Leo may have gone up to QLD?
Applications for the job close on Wednesday.

Orana87 can you post a 1-13? Good young talent! Good to see a clean out.
Rob how about you 1-13? What players from last years ageing squad have you resigned? With flano facing a ban holdsworth and Gibbs will boost the you's fellas coming through?
Gibbs and holds worth will still be involved with NRL not Appin

Ran into Leo briefly today, said he's keen for The Oaks again.
1-13: bit early for that even in the silly season... we signed a very good trainer tonight though :correct:

Recently unemployed Wests Magpies front rower perhaps Orana?

Not much use throwing 1-13's around at the stage of the season.

Vital for the groups health that De Ubago succeeds at Oakdale. Moss Vale would have to be 100-1 to get up and going in first grade again. Anyone offered Matt Thorpe the CC job out there? Buying back the farm isn't the worst way to rebuild.

It will be a tough ask for Mossy to come back but I know the new committee have hit the ground running and have held talks with a couple of high profile coaches. Hoping for an answer this week on that front. The club would love to get the likes of Thorpey back, great bloke but maybe a tad young to be CC, given he is only 21. I know age is not everything but that might be a bit much for him at this point. Word on the street is that he has had enough of Group 6 and wants to play elsewhere like Group 7, along with a few other Lions. Don't know how accurate that is but that's what is doing the circles in the Highlands

No, not Skando, but a highly credentialed fitness fanatic well known to Group 6 spectators.

Re De Ubago, Mark is one of the best blokes in the Group and if you start with good people, you'll have a fair shot at it. TC can probably elaborate more, but Oakdale's recent golden era was built upon the playing depth accrued at Camden in the 1997-2005 era. Camden kids had to leave for a 1st Grade opportunity and once at Oakdale, they stay for good reason. Mark has links to the vast emerging talent at Camden and Narellan, and it wouldn't surprise to see some of this youth head up the mountain to help rebuild Workies.

I don't see age as an issue if he has the knowledge and right people around him he easily capable a few of the older coaches is previous years have been the ones who have struggled younger guys with a more modern approach to the game and actually know something about it are what some clubs need especially mossy if there gunba be a young group a blokes .. City are making a lot of noise with there signings but I think it's the same as the oaks in 2014 they will be much more competitive and push teams but will lack 2-3 guns to get them the wins they need to play semis but there still time for orana politis to get them so who knows .. Really hope Oakdale get back to being a top team they are good for the competition and were missed last year .. Any word on the jets coach for 2015 that was another one which was advertised be interesting to see what unfolds there.. Cockpit not much news coming out of thirlmere of late any updates ? If Rams can get borgs/cashmere back they are the team that can push picton all the way the rest play for bronze ..

We are in negotiations with so-called 'guns'... two, perhaps three. But being competitive, getting the right culture (values/ attitudes) back through the joint, is the first priority.
We'll train hard, we'll play hard and we'll finish where we deserve.
Maurice Cosgrave and Josh Burke re-signed with the club on Friday.
Justin Miller agreed last night to oversee our 'Macarthur area fun-run' endurance sessions during pre-season. The only way is up! :drink:
