Boys let's be serious the last two clubs with question marks on points - Thirlmere 2012, Easts 2013 - how did that turn out? If you break the rules you'll get found out. This isn't America there's is no Group 6 intelligence agency to aim your conspiracy theories. I'm sure the Group gets the odd player grading wrong but systemic cheating is plain for everyone to see. It's a fairly transparent, if not tardy, process. Remember the conjecture on here for months about Trotters Thirlmere and penalties were given.. |

Clubs have to realise that you can't play the system. You have to be transparent and honest about individual players point simple as that. Its literally a 5 second exercise for anyone to check a players history. Clubs that choose to be relaxed with properly heading their cattle will get found out. Did wonder how jets managed their points given a 95% player difference from 2012 in first grade. |

Player's history all to see now on the net or via google/ on-line newspaper articles. Very foolhardy to even try. Points system has evened out the competition to a degree and placed the emphasis squarely on clubs to get their junior development processes right. With G6 possibly down to eight 1st Grade teams in 2014, surely only 14 games will be played, home & away? |

I seen the jets play oakdale in that semi final last year and could only manage to count 3 possibly 4 local juniors a mystery to everyone I think I'm sure they will be under the scope this year a bit seeing as other issues have been sorted .. Thirlmere will be relying on this meeting tonight on which players will stay and go for next year. |

We're all bound by the same rules. If your concerned about a club, take it up with them direct. |

Lets be fair dinkum, the juniors in this comp aren't a scratch on Wests Juniors, nor some other country areas. So those juniors coming through aren't the cream of the crop, whereas those 'imported' are top line players. Most of the juniors coming through will sit in reggies and U18s. A decent player will have a crack at NYC, NSW Cup and RMC and the quality players in Group 6 this year ie Lett, Gallant etc have been there and are coming BACK down to CRL Group 6 level. Why do clubs chase them? Cause they are quality players who win games and comps and every club wants them. Without them you snooze and you lose. |

Can anyone shed a light on what happened? Or what outcomes came from the Thirlmere appin meeting tonight? |

I believe they will make a desicion next week a pretty poor stunt from thirlmere in my opinion players have been coming and going from there for years and they have done more then there fair share recruitment in the years gone by |

I beg to differ Pastrami, just this year alone 17 of the 19 Group 6 under 15 reps this year are in the Harold Matts program for next season, as for other country areas, you've got to be kidding yourself, do your homework before making a statement like that again.

I think so. There was a whisper that has come out of that meeting last night. But nothing official, maybe someone that was there could shed some light. |

Sorry to generalise Hornet but that is the future Matts squad, that hasn't been picked yet, and that is 17 in a train on squad of 64 (that may have been narrowed down by now). In the past Group 6 have only had a sprinkling of representation in the Wests junior rep squads, who have traditionally been fairly strong up against other districts. When the majority of the Wests rep teams are from Group 6 I will change my opinion. :yeah |

All clearances have been denied for the players that have attended the meeting on monday night. Group six decided to stand firm on the by-law and all players are to play at Thirlmere in 2014. All players stated at the meeting that they will not be returning to Thirlmere and that they will go out of area or have the year off Rugby League. So i believe the committee has not solved their problem by stopping these players going elsewhere. As a fan of Rugby League and not only Thirlmere this was the wrong decision in the end as the group will loose 15 first grade players from 3 clubs not just 1. Cant see Appin getting up and running again now as the core of their team have been blocked from moving their, also Tigers may end up slugging it out at the bottom like they have in the last decade. Noel Woods does not have the best interest of the club in mind as their have been no (or hardly any) juniors come through to grade since he has been in charge. This scenario has been coming for a number of years at Thirlmere which is sad. |

That's a pity, your U/16's won the grand final this year and are very strong. |

A big shame a lot of good juniors at thirlmere .. The comp is the big loser here with three teams suffering from this desicion obviously no luck with there rumoured signings to be taking this stand of the players don't won't to be at the club I wouldn't won't them there personally |

Does this mean that any player that Thirlmere requests a clearance for will be rejected as well? |

It's a big shame for Appin for sure. Especially considering a number of the players involved went to Thirmere from Appin originally.
