Thought I'd get the ball rolling, the other thread seems a bit too left wing for my liking. Anyway apart from All Saints who've already started training who else is starting very soon? Campbelltown Warriors start on Wednesday, any word on what will happen with ESA next year?

The only definite ones I know are All Saints and Titans. I know Eagles are still looking at their options. Nobody else has put their intentions up for public viewing at this stage. Any other clubs with definite or probable sides we would love to see it on here.

My mates at the Campbelltown Warriors have started training if that helps, their coach Jason Haveenar looks to be doing some good things for them wanting a more organised start compared to this year. |

All Saints History has had a massive turn. It has always been recorded as All Saints Rugby League was formed in 1972. The following changes that completely. (Compliments Mr. Brian Harvey) As some of you maybe be aware I Brian Harvey have been the self appointed historian of the All Saints Rugby League Football Club over the past 10 years. A summary of my research (premierships, history, committee, etc) has been posted on the All Saints sporting pulse website. I also have in my possession more in depth records. Recently I was researching another matter and decided to have another look into the All Saints Liverpool involvement in Rugby League. I discovered the following: Newspaper articles (attached) confirm All Saints Rugby League Club was established at least by 23 March 1932 and not 1972 as is currently displayed on our website and club documentation. I had been previously informed (with no written evidence) that All Saints Rugby League may have been formed in the 1920's. Furthermore, in 1932 All Saints fielded a B Grade team in the Southern Districts B Grade Competition which included teams from Granville, Fairfield, Auburn, Canley Vale, Lidcombe, Guildford, Mt Pritchard, Berala, etc. The Southern Districts area was made up from teams from the Southern part of the Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League which was divided into 2 districts in order to reduce the vast distances that teams travelled. In late September 1932 at Granville Showground Lidcombe defeated All Saints in the Semi Final. The Final (No Grand Finals in 1932) was originally set down for Liverpool Showground but was postponed due to a dog show at the Liverpool Showground and the protests from Lidcombe. At Granville Showground on Saturday 29 October 1932 All Saints defeated defending premiers Lidcombe by 7-5 (finishing the game 2 players short due to injuries). Lidcombe had won the title the previous 9 years (match report attached). I have also found a copy of this Premiership winning team (attached). Newspaper articles confirm All Saints fielded teams in 1933, 1945 and 1946 seasons and most probably other years. Please amend the All Saints club records to include the 1932 B Grade premiership and change the date of establishment from 1972 to 1932. I'd suggest a framed photo of the 1932 team would take pride of place in the Don Regan Clubhouse. Also with an establishment date of 1932 All Saints would be the oldest surviving Rugby League club in the Liverpool district. You may wish to circulate this new found information amongst your club members and the Western Suburbs DJRL. Regards Brian Harvey All Saints JRLFC Historian All Saints' football team, which won the Southern Districts Junior Rugby League B grade premiership this year. Back row (from left to right): R. Fitzpatrick, J. Jones, L Hanna, R Cronan, F. Schell, P. Thelkeld, B. O'Brien, J. Boyd, J. Kelly, J. Whitney; (second row): R. Wych, N. Nicholls, F. Thorne (Captain), R. Wych (secretary), G. Fulller (vice-Captain), J. Smith, P. Wych; (front row): E. Smith, P. Cullen and K. Smith. 25/3/1932...All Saints Club On Wednesday night of last week a meeting of All Saints Sports Club was held, 30 being present. A B Grade Rugby League football team was formed, and it was decided to enter the S.D. Junior Rugby League competition The officers are: President, Mr. C. Ives; Vice-Presidents, Messrs. G. Brewer, B. Fitzpatrick, J. Kelly, F. Brett, G. Wych and J. Fitzpatrick; treasurer, Mr. J. Jones; secretary, Mr. Peter Wych. Training commenced on Tuesday night. ALL SAINTS' CLUB, LIVERPOOL At the annual meeting of All Saints' Football Club, Liverpool, held on Wednesday, 13th Feb 1946, It was unanimously agreed to again enter a team in each grade competition. The attendance at the meeting indicated possibilities of a record number of players, over 60 signifying their intention to play for All Saints' this season. The new committee elected for the season Includes Messrs. J. Eady. Les Dubois. Eernie Fitzpatrick (Liverpool), Don Reegan Cabramatta) and Bruce Mayberry (Liverpool). The latter, as retiring secretary. stated that so many players being released from the Services was responsible for the extra bright prospects of football in the district this season. The meeting decided to make immediate application for use of Bigge Park for competition play each Sunday, and for training purposes each Tuesday and Thursday night. It was unanimously agreed not to close, the roll of players for another month, and that the committee members be empowered to enrol any new players offering. Owing to pressure of business, the election of officers for 1946-47 season was deferred until the March meeting of the club, at which it is anticipated there win be a record attendance for a football meeting in Liverpool. Any further interested players are urged to get in touch with committee members, or Bruce Mayberry, hon secretary EXCITING FINAL Two Liverpool Players Hurt. Two Liverpool players received each a fractured collar-bone when All Saints beat Lidcombe to win the final of the B grade Rugby League competition (Southern districts) on Saturday. The injured men were "Pike" Hanna and Arthur Kent. Enthusiasts who came from all parts of the district to Granville witnessed an exciting game. As Lidcombe had held the championship premiership for nine years, Liverpool's win 7-5 was particularly meritorious, especially considering that the team was two short. Just a week and a day after winning the B Grade Rugby League competition (Southern Districts), All Saints' football team beat All Saints' cricket team in a friendly match at Liverpool on Sunday. The cricketers could only put up 120, to the football team's 159. Pretty versatile! BENEFIT MATCHES Effort for Liverpool Widow. To assist the widow of the late Mr. Teddy Smith, a benefit Rugby League match was played at the Liverpool Recreation Oval on Sunday between Merrylands B grade and All Saints Liverpool. This is the first occasion on which a match has been played on the Oval on a Sundav. After a hard, clean game All Saints emerged victorious by 16 points to 8. Thorne, P. Wych and J. Smith (2) scored tries, J. Smith twice converting. Hanley crossed the line twice for the "visitors", and also added a goal. A match between Fairfield A and Liverpool A, in which both teams played new blood, resulted in a draw- 11 points each. Towards the end, Walters (Liverpool) had the misfortune to injure his collar-bone, and he was removed in the ambulance to Liverpool Hospital. The effort cleared £6. Applications for permission to be transferred from A to B grade wore referred to the protests and appeals commitee A letter from Gosford gave the particulars and conditions of a Sunday competition it is promoting, for which is a handsome 10 guinea cup is offered. Lidcombe Club applied for permission to run a C grade knock-out competition, to be played on Sundays, but were informed that the S.D.R.L. had no power to grant same. Good numbers up at Eagles,Where back!!! Great to have Barnes back and all the boys back together, Dumpers looking sharpe. SCC teams looking good on numbers all the boys coming back should get all grades and our 19s back from Appin boys are eager to come home. Lot of talk ESA will be coming over I think Moody can confirm? Eagles offer free rego and withGroup 6 clubs are demanding $300 per player before they even train so should get a lot of players from there back over. Good to be back training Tuesdays and Thursday at Waminda get there!! We also feeding our Sydney shield into Wests Magpies great venture for the two clubs and will filter to A grade and lower grades. Good luck to all the other Wests clubs great to be back home. Edited by Servico, Jan 22 2014, 08:35 AM.

Hi Servico, it seems that we have yet to meet and well that may be due to that you infact you are not a part of East Campbelltown JRLFC and the information you are giving is infact incorrect and far from the truth. I am the spokesperson for the club and when information is ready to be released it will be done so through me so which will be the correct and most updated information. In fact our President and Secretary have just got back from holidays from the Christmas and new year break. we at the eagles are looking forward to a great 2014. Watch this space !!
