The Eagles only 17 players. It might have been a more useful exercise if the permitted 25 man squad was present with 8 frontline players to go on at some stage. I notice that the website has been updated after a 6 week gap. Among those listed I know of Hoare, Dunley and Harding and they are all quality players. Do you know what the Laheys are doing this year? |

With this game it was about getting back on the park. Mounties had half of there Ron Massey side in as the team they were playing forfeited so they put them in to get run. |

So if I read that all correctly, basically Eagles A Grade played a combination of Mounties Sydney Shield and Ron Massey Cup sides ? |

Mounties have a large player list. A squad of 20 played a NSW Cup trial today. Only 6 of those were from the Raiders whereas in the Raiders provided 15 in round 1 of NSW Cup last year, so many of the 14 Mounties players spent most of last season in RMC. Certainly Baker and Tangata from yesterday would be expected to be in RMC team at the start of the season and perhaps a couple more. |

I think youll find The Eagles did not field any of their teams..it was half them and half Wests RMC guys with majority of the actual Sydney Shield squad either not approved or unable to attend due to short notice (work commitments etc), as the eagles were only cleared to participate on Wednesday. Im hearing they actually do have a strong squad |

Once again incorrect facts, are we surprised? Last time I commented I come under a barrage of attacks, I can't see why people can't move on, we surely have, we are looking forward to a great season. Our guys are training hard and we have good numbers with heaps of talent, A new direction and new challengers lay ahead. If you really want to stay informed on the Eagles for 2014, keep an eye on the Facebook page, at least we don't get attacked by keyboard warriors. To answer your question our President has been given the green light be CRL, we are in Sydney Shield and yes we have signed the majority of our 1st Grade squad including Dunners and Hoare. Hopefully people on this forum can be positive about the Eagles representing the Macarthur area in the Sydney Shield and get behind us. Hopefully if I don't get attacked on this forum and as I said before, watch this space |

I think most people are over the antics of your club Trent, or should I say the antics of a few individuals. Good luck for the year and hopefully you guys are in the news for positive reasons. I notice in the draw that you guys have reverted back to East Campbelltown Eagles...obvioulsy disassociating yourselves with that other naughty club the Campbelltown Eagles. Also noticed in the draw that they haven't given you a home ground to play at??? Any dramas there?? |

There is nothing to look into regarding our home games, we have to work out which games will be played at the Campbelltown Stadium (when available) and which games at Waminda Oval, we will have that submitted by the weeks end. Our club has also attracted 22 new sponsors for the 2014 season so I don't know where you are coming from saying we have a bad name, as I stated before, new beginnings, new challengers and a new future |
