Greene from Thirlmere must be trying to buy the comp.
they have the $$ to throw around that's for sure. Expect a high profile signing before season starts

In all honesty i think greed is taking over the group, it has been happening for a few years i mean charging the players entry when they are the entertainment in my opinion is silly. You get retired NRL players coming out here claiming that they wanna give back to the game but half of them are just following a pay cheque because if they really cared they wouldn't be off their head acting like a 5 year old in a public place on the weekend. You're a role model whether you still play NRL or not and for those about to defend them the juniors look up to these guys i know i did. Splinter not many sounds about right perhaps time for a few people within the club there to move on as the politics are toxic..
Your opinion is a valid one, but charging players entry is nothing new. It was $6 twenty years ago.

Sounds like you're grinding an axe there, but yeah it does happen (running around like 5 year olds). But is that a problem within the group? (I think not)

The more X NRL players the better the comp will be
As long as their intentions within the group are genuine
The petulant cheque grabbers contribute nothing to the competition.
The bloke that puts back into the club leaves a long legacy and reputation.

You need to pick the right X NRL player to build your club with a positive outcome

Foal i wouldn't give two damns about paying $2 as a player or if they let all players in with a pass and their polo shirt for free but when you're bringing in your whole family for $40 ($8x5=$40) then you buy food plus the fuel to get to a ground like Mossy's and back i want some entertainment value maybe not a stripper but hey i've seen some pretty bad ones for not much more than $40 lol. All Saints in Liverpool charge $5 an adult and let kids and pensioners in for free, the atmosphere there is great. I know the standard of players is slightly different due to money in both comps but hey who could knock back a great crowd just by charging a logical price instead of being greedy. You'd make more anyway it's common sense plus you'd make more at the canteen and bar. Tc i have no axe to grind i just see it unlike other people because sometimes unforntunately i have to deal with it though i try my best to avoid them being embarassed i can't hold their hands and no i'm not naming anyone thanks.

I see on the Group 6 wikipedia page that someone has elevated the Warragamba club to 1st Division 1st Grade status... Is there some news out of 2752 that we haven't been privy to?

Yeah, I understand your concerns with admission prices, your opinion is shared by many (including my wife). All I'm saying is it's nothing new and it's never going away. And, considering it was $6 over twenty years ago, $8 today is pretty reasonable. Try to find something else in society that has only risen 33% in price in 2 decades.

I think the bigger concern is not the $8 regular season prices but the finals and grand final prices $20 is a bit much and although crowds have been good have deffinantly dropped off since a few years back when prices weren't so steap

In other news I think the new pre season knockout rather then the 9s is a good idea better for teams to trial leading into the season.

Picton start favourites to take that out in 2015 I would think.

I agree they're a bit much, but it's never been $20 as far as I'm aware. I'm happy to pay a bit extra on GF day considering you get 5 grand finals to watch. Maybe $12 would be fair.

Rob and Gal, I hear you have around 20 players from city at your club, how are you going to get around the point system with that many players?

You will need to wait until round one to work out the points.
