Never seen Aitken play obviously talented to play at the levels he has but thought city's young halves at the start of the year were very handy players |

The Campbelltown City Kangaroos RLFC would like to congratulate its Captain-coach Russell Aitken on his appointment to a full-time position, as the playing Assistant Coach of the Central Queensland Capras in the Queensland Cup competition. Kangaroos’ Chairman Brian Brown commented that, “Russ has secured a marvellous opportunity to work full-time in Rugby League. Our club is here to help our players, coaches and officials gain experience so they can move to higher levels of Rugby League. We wish Russ and his young family all the best up there in Rockhampton”. Aitken remarked, “I’d like to thank Browny and the Board for the coaching opportunity given to me. I am still on contract at City, but upon hearing of the Capras’ offer, they agreed that it was too good an opportunity for me not to take. I thank them for releasing me under favourable terms. The boys have really got things running well at City now, and their recruitment has been very impressive. I wish everyone the very best”. Brown commented that, “Rest assured that this will not be affecting our club’s ambitions. We will be appointing someone of similar or higher calibre”. |

Narellan to have a strong Cabramatta flavour to them in 2015. I hear former Oaks back rower Tavita will be a Jet. Surely Picton lose somebody from that back line. They won the comp with Dreves and Poisel out injured and still put the best back line in the group out on the park. Taylor on the wing?? What a luxury. Perhaps De Ubago exploits his international link to take Dreves to Oakdale... They need some signings soon for people to treat their return seriously. TC? Edited by Taco, Oct 21 2014, 07:47 PM.

Tavita was an overweight 5/8 who probably was forced to play backrow because the oaks had the two Brasington boys in the halves. The games i saw of him he was extremely unfit and unable to get onside most of the time. He was carrying 20 kilos too. |

Talented though. History with Jets staff. Nothin you've mentioned can't be fixed. No doubt we'll see 60% turnover there again |

Unsubstantiated whispers. Scott Borg to Camden as a player. Newton to coach again and Cashmere to lead the forwards around one more time. Mittagong to lose both Borgs, Ryan to hang them up with Payne and Ross Brown long odds to travel all that way for 15 minutes a game. Camden and Picton front runners already. Thirlmere, the Oaks, Narellan won't be sure where they are at list wise until after Christmas. Mossy at long odds, Oakdale will get back in the park no doubt but huge question marks about depth, quality and long term viability. Anything else we're hearing around the traps? Interesting to see whether the group can add to the impressive list of marquees that went around last season |
